Trapped in a Fog of Deception
June 14, 2003
As another American solider dies in another attack on American occupying forces in Iraq, the dark reality of a quagmire and a constant source of casualties is quickly entering the minds of many military analysts, with commanders in the field making commentaries like “we are holding on by our fingernails”. What makes this even more unpalatable is that these Americans are dying for causes that are essentially based on complete fabrications by the Bush administration. What is happening in Iraq is nothing short of murderous malignant debauchery in which the Bush administration must be held accountable for.
This past two weeks the Bush clan tried to project the image of collective amnesia concerning their year long contention that Iraq and its disappearing leader posed an immediate threat to the United States with its massive amounts of WMD material. They are now trying to focus on other so called legitimate reasons for invading Iraq like liberating the oppressed Iraqis, who seem to be picking off their liberators a hand full at a time, and searching for mass graves to show the world the images of an evil mass murderer therefore the legitimate justification for his disappearance. All this relative imagery is kind of reminiscent to the humanitarian wars of the Clinton era, if the truth can expose your lies and criminalities why not do some spinning and project an alternate view to placate the masses. The general media likes to play that game and it definitely worked for Clinton why not for the Bush clan?
Unfortunately for the oligarchy and their lap dogs in the general media, they did not count on the increasing influence of the internet and its independence from corporate sleaze. More and more Americans are getting their information online, and they are seeing that it differs greatly from what they are hearing and seeing in the mainstream media. Americans are beginning to see through the fog of deception created by the puppet masters in Washington. Also, international media are more inclined to report the truth about American involvements across the globe which does find its way to Americans who are concerned about what their government is really up to. Will it make a difference here in the United States only time will tell, Americans don’t seem to care about the truth anymore, and the oligarchy is certainly counting on that reality.
The Bush clan is on edge, hard questions are finally being asked not only by columnists, but by professionals in the military and in the intelligence services, and the awkward response by Straussians like Defense Undersecretary Paul Wolfowitz and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is nothing short of cynical and copiously arrogant. With Wolfowitz, it was a matter of political expediency to focus on fallacious Iraqi WMDs, and with Rumsfeld, the WMDs could have been destroyed before the war, but prior to the invasion old Rummy was absolutely certain that his old friend Saddam was going to armageddonize us all.
Secretary of State Colin Powell said recently it was “nonsense” to label U.S. intelligence on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction as bogus,” meanwhile U.S. national security professionals are saying in essence the exact opposite, who are we to believe? Given Powell’s track record concerning Iraq, whether he was duped by the neocons before the invasion on the veracity of the intelligence gathered or not, which I doubt, one must come to the conclusion that Powell now is knowingly choosing to continue the Bush policy of flat out lying to the American people.
Intelligence officials in the CIA are saying that some analysts felt they were being pressured by none other than Vice-President Dick Cheney who just happens to have a considerable financial interest in the reconstruction of what he helped destroy. Not to be out done, in a Boston globe piece where it quoted an Army intelligence officer saying that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld ”was deeply, almost pathologically distorting the intelligence.”
The Bush administration is responding to these allegations in a very panicky manner, and has decided to continue the foul mirage in an attempt to hide the truth about their erroneous adventures so it does not come out and bite them on their collective arrogant leftist fannies. These people need to be investigated and brought to justice quickly before they start killing innocent people again which they desperately want to continue to do. And Americans who still believe that this is all about self-defense better start waking up to the truth that it was never about self-defense over Iraq and it defiantly will not be the case with Iran or Syria either.
It’s up to the American people to stop these perverse politicians who circumvent constitutional and international laws in order to augment their power and start wars based on lies and propaganda. Congress will not investigate the Bush regime, they have to much invested in the status quo and will not rock the boat too much. Republicans in Congress on Wednesday rebuffed calls by Democrats for a full-blown investigation into all the lies and propaganda spewed out by the Bush malcontents. Should we be surprised? Congress is filled with traitors to the Republic and its constitution, the Democrats and the Republicans are proving to be a cancer to this nation that needs to be cut out, preferably without any anesthesia.
America wake up, The Bush government went to war and killed thousands of people, and Americans continue to die in Iraq, for what? Are you ignorant enough to still believe that it is for your security? Are you that brainwashed to believe that it is a part of some war on terrorism? Are you thick enough to believe that this process of raping another country that never attacked yours is an act of self-defense?
The United States initiated armed aggression based on deliberately falsified intelligence reports. The real reasons why the neocons went to war in Iraq can be traced back to a few neocon think tanks, but that does not change the fact that the Bush clan used the WMD issue to persuade Americans of the necessity for armed conflict.
For future reference, this is what the Bush regime told Americans and the world about the non-existent Iraqi WMDs prior to their Hitlerian preemption into Iraq.
“In the case of Saddam Hussein, we have a dictator who is clearly pursuing these deadly capabilities. Saddam has also shown that he’s willing to use weapons of mass destruction”.
- Vice-President Dick Cheney, June 6 2002
“Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction.”
- Vice-President Dick Cheney, August 26 2002
“Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons.”
– George W. Bush, September 12 2002
“We know that Saddam Hussein is determined to keep his weapons of mass destruction, is determined to make more.”
– Colin Powell, February 5 2003
“Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.”
– George W. Bush, State of the Union address, January 28 2003
“We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons — the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have.”
- George Bush, February 8 2003
“Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.”
- George Bush, March 17 2003
“We know where they are. They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad.”
- Donald Rumsfeld, March 30 2003
These men and women in the Bush administration knowingly lied to the American people concerning the reasons for their violent activities abroad, Americans are dying, and Iraqis are dying, and unlike the sex trials of bubba Clinton where neocons and their brain dead supporters continue to cry about and are continually frustrated in the fact that they could not impeach Clinton for lying about blow jobs, are conveniently non judgmental when it comes to Bush and his own lies that just happens to be costing the lives of Americans on almost a daily basis.
