Here’s to The End of The ‘Special Relationship’ and More Outing of Mossad
January 17, 2012 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
The bumper sticker reads, “I love my country…but I think we should start seeing other people” and recent events lead me to believe it could actually be happening in regards to the “special relationship” between US and Israel.
The American-Israeli massive missile drill codenamed “Austere Challenge 12,” that was to deploy thousands of US troops and missile defense systems to Israel this spring and Israeli forces to the US European Command in Germany [US-Israeli Spring Will Bring Deployment of Thousands of US Soldiers ] was postponed on Friday the 13th most likely rooted in righteous concerns that those war games would escalate tensions with Iran.
However, The Jerusalem Post reported that Defense Minister Ehud Barak led talks with the Pentagon about rescheduling the drill and that US Capt. John Ross, spokesman for the US European Command/EUCOM said, “It is not unusual for such exercises to be postponed, and leaders of both sides believe that the best participation of all units will be best achieved later in the year.” [1]
This mornings news reported by London’s The Sunday Times reminded this reporter of the idiom, “With friends like that, who needs enemies” as I read verification that it was Mossad agents that were behind last week’s assassination of another Iranian nuclear scientist.
According to The Sunday Times, the assassination of Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan was similar to that seen in “espionage films” and planned over a period of many months with extensive surveillance.
It also quoted an unnamed Israeli sources claiming that the killing was a precursor to a military strike, which would make rebuilding nuclear facilities more difficult for Iran, should they be bombed. [2]
The Israeli source said, “There is zero tolerance for mistakes. By nature, every failure not only risks the neck of the agents but also risks turning into an international scandal.”
Another Friday the 13th report by Foreign Policy exposed a a series of memos, written during the last years of President George W. Bush’s administration.
The memos describe how Israeli Mossad officers recruited operatives belonging to the terrorist group Jundallah by passing themselves off as American agents.
According to two U.S. intelligence officials, the Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting U.S. passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives — what is commonly referred to as a ‘false flag’ operation.
The memos show that the United States had barred even the most incidental contact with Jundallah, but the same was not true for Israel’s Mossad.
The memos also detail CIA field reports saying that Israel’s recruiting activities occurred under the nose of U.S. intelligence officers, most notably in London, the capital of one of Israel’s ostensible allies, where Mossad officers posing as CIA operatives met with Jundallah officials.
A US intelligence officer said, “It’s amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with. Their recruitment activities were nearly in the open. They apparently didn’t give a damn what we thought.” [3]
According to a currently serving U.S. intelligence officer, President Bush “went absolutely ballistic” when briefed on the contents of a report that “sparked White House concerns that Israel’s program was putting Americans at risk. There’s no question that the U.S. has cooperated with Israel in intelligence-gathering operations against the Iranians, but this was different. No matter what anyone thinks, we’re not in the business of assassinating Iranian officials or killing Iranian civilians.”
Israel’s activities jeopardized the Bush administration’s fragile relationship with Pakistan, which was coming under intense pressure from Iran to crack down on Jundallah and undermined U.S. claims that it would never fight terror with terror.
A former intelligence officer said, “It’s easy to understand why Bush was so angry. After all, it’s hard to engage with a foreign government if they’re convinced you’re killing their people. Once you start doing that, they feel they can do the same.”
That Mossad operation sparked a divisive debate among Bush’s national security team, pitting those who wondered “just whose side these guys [in Israel] are on” against those who argued, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” [Ibid]
Within his first weeks as president, Barack Obama drastically scaled back joint U.S.-Israel intelligence programs targeting Iran, according to multiple serving and retired officers.
In November 2010 the State Department added Jundallah to its list of foreign terrorist organizations.
According to a currently serving officer, U.S. intelligence services have received clearance to cooperate with Israel on a number of classified intelligence-gathering operations focused on Iran’s nuclear program which are technical in nature and not about covert actions targeting Iran’s infrastructure or political or military leadership.
A recently retired intelligence officer said, “We don’t do bang and boom. And we don’t do political assassinations.”
According to retired and current intelligence officers, Israel regularly proposes conducting covert operations targeting Iranians, “They come into the room and spread out their plans, and we just shake our heads and we say to them — ‘Don’t even go there. The answer is no.’”
Many but not all of the details of Israel’s involvement with Jundallah are now known and anger among senior intelligence officials about Israel’s actions has become more outspoken, “This was stupid and dangerous. Israel is supposed to be working with us, not against us. If they want to shed blood, it would help a lot if it was their blood and not ours. You know, they’re supposed to be a strategic asset. Well, guess what? There are a lot of people now, important people, who just don’t think that’s true.” [Ibid]
Among those who would agree is President George Washington, who warned US in his Farewell Address:
“Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all…and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave…a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils.”
Another place Israel never should have gone was to use the name, identity and Passport of Cindy, sister-in-law of Cheryl Hanin Ben Tov, the American-Israeli Mossad operative who trapped Israel’s nuclear whistle blower, Mordechai Vanunu in 1986 in London.
On April 6, 1996, in an investigative report, The St. Petersburg Times, located Cheryl Ben Tov and reported that she continues to work for the Mossad.
It is illegal under American-Israeli diplomatic protocols for the Mossad to operate in America.
In 1986, Hanin was a 26-year-old Mossad agent posing as an American tourist in London. She grew up in Pennsylvania and Orlando in a Jewish family that owed its affluence to tires.
I moved to Orlando in the mid 1970′s and still can recall her father, Stanley Hanin, the founder and pitchman for the Allied Discount Tires chain stores, shrill refrain in his self-produced cheesy TV commercials, “Tahrs ain’t pretty, but you gotta have them!”
As her parents went through an acrimonious divorce, Hanin embarked upon a long love affair with the Jewish State. In 1977, she spent a semester in Israel, studied Hebrew and Jewish history and threw herself into her academic and religious studies in a three-month residential course funded by the World Zionist Organization.
Upon graduation in 1978, she joined the Israeli army and married Ofer Ben Tov and then was recruited by the Mossad.
In 1986, “She left Israel to flee the media and the people who burrowed into her life,” a friend in Florida told the Israeli daily, Yedioth Ahronoth.
“This bothered her a lot. She was terrified. She felt the need to run. Since this affair Cheryl only wants one thing: a normal quiet life.” [2]

Cindy/Cheryl Hanin Ben Tov has also been living the good life in an exclusive gated community golf course home- purchased in Hanin’s name in 1998 at $528,000.00:

When I asked Vanunu what he was thinking when he took off with Cindy, he maintained eye contact and readily replied, “It wasn’t like THAT-when Maxwell’s paper published my photo without ever talking to me and some of the stolen Dimona photos with a very bad story against me, I knew the Mossad was after me. Cindy said she had a sister in Rome and I thought I would be safe there until I could return to London.
“We went to movies and art galleries, I trusted her. But, as soon as I got into the apartment, I was hit on the head and drugged. When I woke up and they took me for interrogation, they threw the Times article on the table and said, ‘Look, what you did.’ I was so relieved they had published it and that I had done what I did.”
On 5 October 1986, The Sunday Times published the front-page photo story of the Dimona reactor that spread over three pages revealing Israel’s arsenal of upwards of 200 nuclear, which was also five days after the Mossad kidnapped Vanunu and to this day he is still waiting for his right to leave Tel Aviv.
In June 2005, after three days of interviews with Vanunu, he blew my mind when he said:
“Did you know that President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons? In 1963, he forced Prime Minister Ben Guirion to admit the Dimona was not a textile plant, as the sign outside proclaimed, but a nuclear plant. The Prime Minister said, ‘The nuclear reactor is only for peace.’
“Kennedy insisted on an open internal inspection. He wrote letters demanding that Ben Guirion open up the Dimona for inspection.
“The French were responsible for the actual building of the Dimona. The Germans gave the money; they were feeling guilty for the Holocaust, and tried to pay their way out. Everything inside was written in French, when I was there, almost twenty years ago. Back then, the Dimona descended seven floors underground.
“In 1955, Perez and Guirion met with the French to agree they would get a nuclear reactor if they fought against Egypt to control the Sinai and Suez Canal. That was the war of 1956. Eisenhower demanded that Israel leave the Sinai, but the reactor plant deal continued on.
“When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. From 1963 to ’69, the senators came, but they never knew about the wall that hid the rest of the Dimona from them.
“Nixon stopped the inspections and agreed to ignore the situation. As a result, Israel increased production. In 1986, there were over two hundred bombs. Today, they may have enough plutonium for ten bombs a year.”
Among those who have also been warning that the “special relationship” is not in the best interests of Americans are the USS LIBERTY Veterans.
The LIBERTY Vets have been calling for justice since 6 June 1967, when on that day in infamy, the LBJ Administration failed to support the troops and Congress failed to hold Israel accountable for the deaths of thirty four Americans and the spilled blood of 171 who were wounded due to Israel’s wanton, unprovoked attack and “deliberate attempt to destroy an American [spy] ship and kill her entire crew. In attacking the USS Liberty, Israel committed acts of murder against U.S. servicemen and an act of war against the United States.”- Adm. Thomas Moorer, former Joint Chiefs of Staff on 16 January 16, 2004, for The Stars and Stripes.
This candidate for US House of Representatives also finds it “amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with” because they don’t “give a damn what we” Americans think; and so I go on the WWW Record calling for an end to the “special relationship” with Israel and for a relationship that holds Israel and Iran to the same criteria, for a Nuclear Free Middle East, an end to the Occupation of Palestine and a free Vanunu Mordechai.

America Is Rotting From The Inside Out
October 9, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
It would be easy to know how to defend America if enemy forces were invading our shores. But how do you defend a nation that is rotting from the inside out? How do you eradicate the internal decay that is eating away at the heart and soul of this nation a little bit more every single day? Just like we saw happen with the Roman Empire, the internal rot that is eating its way to the surface threatens to bring us down as a nation. Greed, corruption, gluttony, lust and pride have become national pastimes. We are addicted to debt, food, entertainment and pleasure. We have been taught to hate those that look different from us or that believe different things than we do. Society is literally coming apart at the seams and the federal government is increasingly implementing “Big Brother” security measures in an attempt to maintain control and keep us “safe”. We have far more people in prison than any other nation on the planet and yet things just keep getting worse and worse. So how can we fix America? How do we rescue a nation that is rotting from the inside?
It is absolutely crucial that we acknowledge just how bad things have gotten. Simply getting the right political party into power will not save America. Neither will implementing a new political system or a new economic system. America’s problems are deeper than that. The very core of America is deeply sick, and once we admit that, then perhaps we will start focusing on some real solutions.
The following are 40 signs that America is rotting from the inside out….
#1 A secret panel of government officials can now put American citizens on a “kill list”. A recent Reuters article explained that no law established this secret panel and that there are no laws which govern it….
There is no public record of the operations or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House’s National Security Council, several current and former officials said. Neither is there any law establishing its existence or setting out the rules by which it is supposed to operate.
#2 It is on record that the federal government facilitated the sale of thousands upon thousands of very powerful guns to Mexican drug cartels. The Mexican government was never told about this operation. U.S. border agents have been shot with these guns, and these guns have been involved in dozens of murders already in Mexico. Mexican drug cartels will continue to kill people with these guns for many years to come. The Obama administration is working incredibly hard to cover up this scandal and the mainstream media is mostly ignoring the story.
#3 The other day, CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson shared with radio show host Laura Ingraham that Obama administration officials have yelled at her and cussed at her for aggressively investigating Operation Fast and Furious. This must have created a lot of waves, because now CBS News has now put her on lockdown and has made her unavailable for interviews.
#4 A host of other recent examples show that if you are associated with the mainstream media in any way and you make a “politically incorrect” comment, you will be given the boot so fast that it will make your head swim. For example, Hank Williams Jr. was recently booted off Monday Night Football simply because he compared Barack Obama to Hitler.
#5 At the current protests in New York City, police are and in their faces. As the economic crisis gets even worse and protests spread and become more intense in future years, will all of America soon look like this?
#6 The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world and thelargest total prison population on the entire globe.
#7 The other day, a group of thieves stole a 50 foot long bridge in Pennsylvania. Yes, you read that correctly. They stole the entire bridge.
#8 Criminals seem willing to steal just about anything that is not bolted down these days. For example, a group of thieves has stolen from farms in Minnesota and Iowa in recent months.
#9 Class warfare is certainly rising to a new level in this nation. Recently, Roseanne Barr said that it would be a good idea for some bankers to “go to the reeducation camps“.
#10 Michael Moore is warning that the economic riots that we are starting to see around the country could potentially become violent in the future….
“The smart rich know they can only build the gate so high. And, and, sooner or later history proves that people when they’ve had enough aren’t going to take it anymore. And much better to deal with it nonviolently now, through the political system, than what could possibly happen in the future, which nobody wants to see”
#11 Have we become a socialist nation? At this point, nearly half of all Americans live in a household that receives some form of government benefits.
#12 From the time George Washington became president until January 1993, the United States government accumulated a national debt of $4.16 trillion. Since Barack Obama entered the White House, more than $4.2 trillion has been added to the national debt.
#13 Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke recently warned Congress not to cut “too much” from the federal budget right now.
#14 According to one recent report, the EPA wants to hire 230,000 more bureaucrats that will help enforce all of the new greenhouse gas regulations that the EPA plans to implement.
#15 There are more than 3 million reports of child abuse in the United States every single year.
#16 Horrifying brawls involving groups of young people are breaking out all over the nation. For example, check out of a brawl that recently broke out during a football game in California.
#17 All over the nation, little children are being publicly arrested by police in their own classrooms and are being marched out of their schools in handcuffs.
#18 In some areas of the country, law enforcement officials are now using “extraction devices” to download data from the cellphones of motorists that they pull over.
#19 In the United States today, it is estimated that one out of every four girls is sexually abused before they become adults.
#20 Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson recently declared that it if your spouse develops Alzheimer’s disease, it is okay to divorce them.
#21 The United States has the highest divorce rate on the globe by a wide margin.
#22 Children in the United States are three times more likely to be prescribed antidepressants as children in Europe are.
#23 Former U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld recently stated that “extremism in Christianity” is a significant danger to the United States.
#24 More pornography is created in the United States than anywhere else on the entire globe. 89 percent is made in the U.S.A. and only 11 percent is made in the rest of the world.
#25 Vanderbilt University has ruled that five on-campus Christian groups have violated Vanderbilt’s non-discrimination policy because they will not allow people that do not believe in Christianity to become leaders in the groups.
#26 Globally, the United States is tied with the U.K. for the most hours of television watched per person each week.
#27 According to NationMaster.com, the United States has the highest percentage of obese people in the world.
#28 The federal government recently sued a company down in Texas .
#29 Are American students getting dumber? This year, the average score on the verbal portion of the SAT was the lowest ever recorded.
#30 The United States has more people on pharmaceutical drugs than any other country on the planet.
#31 The percentage of women taking antidepressants in America is higher than in any other country in the world.
#32 One out of every four teen girls in the United States now has an STD.
#33 Law enforcement officials estimate that about 600,000 Americans and about 65,000 Canadians are trading dirty child pictures online.
#34 There are more reported rapes in the United States each year than anywhere else in the world.
#35 Totalitarian police states used to be ridiculed in this country, but now that has all changed. In fact, the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign looks like it could have been pulled right out of an East German security handbook.
#36 According to a shocking FBI document obtained by Oath Keepers, the FBI definition of “suspicious activity” now includes making “extreme religious statements” and believing in “radical theology“.
#37 It is estimated that 500,000 babies that will be born this year will be sexually abused before they turn 18.
#38 In airports all over the country, the federal government is forcing large numbers of women and children to endure very offensive “enhanced pat-downs” during which their private parts are touched before they are allowed to get on to their flights.
#39 It was bad enough when the TSA was just abusing our families at the airports. Now, TSA “VIPR teams” are conducting approximately a year at subway stations, bus terminals, ports and highway rest stops.
#40 Since 1973, approximately 50 million babies have been slaughtered in the United States before they were even born.
Some of the examples above may seem unrelated at first glance, but they really are not. The truth is that all of those examples illustrate the deep decay that has taken hold in this nation.
Sadly, hundreds more examples could easily be listed. This country is deeply sick, and “tweaking” a couple of things or electing the right politician is not going to cure us.
America is dying and time is running out.

Christian Leaders: It’s About Time You Test False Teachers
August 28, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
I have written several articles voicing concern over the Christian Right (CR) uniting with leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) for the purpose of fighting the culture war. Other Christian bloggers are concerned as well and have been asking valid questions, such as why the CR chooses to involve themselves with these fringe groups. As of this date we’re still in the dark. So I’ll toss out the question again: Why do Christian leaders, pastors, and luminaries choose to unite with what Jesus referred to as “ravenous wolves”?
In my article series The Religious Right uniting with Religious Renegades I expressed alarm over some or our Christian leader’s decision to attend Gov. Rick Perry’s The Response: A call to prayer. Many evangelicals were distressed that respected leaders would be standing shoulder to shoulder with folks who are associated with fringe groups such as the New Apostolic Reformation(NAR), the International House of Prayer (IHOP) and the Word of Faith (WoF). These groups hold many of the same unbiblical beliefs such as “positive confession.”
“‘Positive Confession’, a movement that came to popular acclaim through supposedly good fruit such as healing, has revealed its true nature as something more like a cult, with extremes of belief that bring the Name of the Lord into disrepute. The roots of Word of Faith doctrine are firmly planted in the soil of the metaphysical cults.” (Cross + Word, 1997)
For several weeks before The Response many CR leaders who weren’t on board with the rally warned their brothers and sisters who were endorsing it that if they went to Perry’s prayer rally they’d be joining forces with false teachers and heretics. But their warnings went unheeded by many. A case in point would seem to be Joel Rosenberg.
On August 5, Joel posted his reasons for attending The Response (here). He later posted a glowing report of his experience (here). From where I stand it appears he chose to shut his ears to friends and fans that urged him not to lend his good name to an event that included IHOP-Kansas City on the leadership team. Here’s what Joel wrote on his blog:
“The Response” was no ordinary prayer meeting. Personally, I’ve never been to anything like it, and I was blessed by every minute of it. There were no political speeches. No entrance fees. No offering. No fund-raising
About those who urged him not to participate he said:
Some evangelicals were critical of “The Response.” They urged people not to attend because they have serious and fundamental theological differences with some of those involved in the event. A few emailed me and urged me not to participate. I heard those concerns and I have strong disagreements with some of the participants, too. But the truth is the vast majority of organizers and participants of this prayer meeting were theologically, morally and ethically solid evangelical, Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ. They included some trusted friends and allies that I have worked with over the years like Dr. James Dobson and Shirley Dobson, Vonette Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, Pastor Greg Matte of Houston’s First Baptist, Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America, Don Wildmon of the American Family Association, among others. Such men and women see the grave crises facing our country. They believe and faithfully teach that the Bible offers the only answers. Together with the governor of an important state, they called the country to pray based on the Scriptures. And many — including the media — paid attention.
Three things. (1) A large number of organizers and endorsers were NAR/IHOP leaders. (2) Bible believing follower of Jesus Christ Tony Perkins has partnered with the NAR in the past (see links below). Tony knows how dangerous these groups are so why does he continue to partner with them? (3) The AFA sponsored and organized the rally so most likely Bible believing follower of Jesus Christ Don Wildmon chose the leadership team. Don knew well in advance that some were apostate IHOP-KC leaders. Is Wildmon (and other Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ in AFA’s leadership) so results oriented that it doesn’t matter to them who they unite with as long as they get the results they want? Another question for AFA is: Do some of its leaders share the NAR’s unbiblical Dominionist beliefs?
Last year Joel Rosenberg was invited to speak at the 2010 Break Forth Canada Conference and promoted the conference positively on his blog. He shared a platform with those in the contemplative/emerging/new spirituality camp including New Age sympathizer and Emergent guru Leonard Sweet and universalist . When people wrote to voice their distress over his involvement in the conference, here’s how Joel responded:
The reason I am attending is because it is the largest Christian conference in Canada (some 15,000 are expected to attend), I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to accept the invitation, and I’m not ready to concede such ground to those who are peddling false teaching. I’ve been asked to come and teach the Word of God and preach the gospel and that’s what I intend to do. I can’t explain why Young, for example, was invited. But why cede the entire stage to him? Moreover, at this critical juncture, I hope to explain why the God of the Bible loves Israel so much and why He wants us to help mobilize a global movement of true believers to stand with Israel while so much of the rest of the world turns against her. Thanks for your concerns. I would appreciate your prayers. God bless you. (Online source)
The Holy Spirit wanted him to accept the invitation? That doesn’t seem very likely in light of what the Bible says:
But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’ table, and of the table of devils. (I Corinthians 10:20-21)
Please understand that I’m not picking on Joel Rosenberg. To be fair, he’s not alone. Many Christians share a platform with men and women they have theological differences with. I’ve singled Joel out because the reasons he gave for doing it don’t really stand up. It stands to reason that if he’s invited to “teach and preach the gospel” the other speakers are invited for the same reason. At the Canada conference attendees were exposed to Sweet’s and Young’s heresy! Moreover, they were exposed to a false gospel.
In a previous article I pointed out that some of The Response organizers and participants were also involved in the May Day 2010: A cry to God for a Nation in Distress put on by NAR “prophet” Cindy Jacobs of General’s International. James Dobson promoted the event and recorded an audio message encouraging people to attend. Several CR leaders who attended both prayer rallies have been guests on Mormon Glenn Beck’s radio and TV broadcast. Glenn’s guests have included Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, mega church Pastor Jim Garlow, David Barton of Wall Builders, televangelist James Robison (he didn’t attend The Response), even Joel Rosenberg. Rev. John Hagee was one of the only pastors to pray solo at The Response. Hagee chose Glenn Beck as a keynote speaker for “A Night to Honor Israel.” CR leader Gary Bauer, President of Our American Values and a board member of Hagee’s Christians United for Israel, also spoke. For readers who are unfamiliar with Rev. Hagee, he’s the founder and pastor of San Antonio-based Cornerstone Church which is one of America’s largest WoF churches (prosperity gospel, name it and claim it). According to G. Richard Fisher, Hagee is a false teacher:
[C]areful evaluation of the teachings of Hagee…reveals false teaching and a defective view of a basic and essential issue regarding salvation and the Gospel. Hagee preaches another way of salvation for the Jew, which is in direct violation of Paul’s warnings in Galatians 1:6-9. (Online source)
Some of you are probably thinking, “Hagee’s books line the shelves of Christian bookstores and sell like hotcakes so he must be a solid Christian.”
It ain’t necessarily so:
“How a book sells is not an indication of its merit. The American public has a seemingly bottomless appetite for nonsense, as evidenced by the countless tomes about astrology, aliens from outer space, quack diets, and UFOs that have regularly graced best-seller lists over the years. Some books that sold millions have later been exposed as hoaxes. A slot on the best-seller list tells you exactly one thing about a book: that a lot of people bought it.” (Online source)
The point I’m making is that even discerning Christians are finding it difficult to ferret out true believers from those that have a very different agenda.
I have one final question for CR leaders: Do you not know that:
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (2 John 9-11) (Bold mine)
The NAR’s aberrant doctrines and beliefs are causing division in the Church. In Romans 16:17-18, Paul writes,
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. (See also Philippians 3:17-19).
CR leaders must be obedient to God’s Word and stop uniting with those who are deceiving the hearts of the simple and do as Paul says: Mark them!
I’ll leave you with an excerpt from a 1988 message given by the late Dr. Walter Martin Warning of the Word Faith Movement’s teaching to the church:
Jesus said there will come men who will speak claiming their authority is from me…There will come men who will speak in my Name. That is, I am supposedly saying this to you – that’s a very important phrase! They are going to come and say I’m speaking to you in my Name, they will work miracles in my Name, they will cast out devils…they will prophesy and preach. But when I meet them I will say, leave me, I never knew you, workers of iniquity!
Why? Because they use His authority and His Name because the power was in Jesus’ Name, or in Jesus’ authority, not in them. And God honored the Name of His Son. And they took that as a means of teaching their own false doctrines and false prophecies and because of that they corrupted the faith of the church. But inwardly, spiritually, they really roooaaar! And if you don’t know fleece from fur, you’re dinner, dumb dumb. And the only way you can know fleece from fur is to know how to test them. And you don’t test them by Walter Martin or by Norman Geisler, as good as the apologist and defenders of Christianity might be and as much as you trust them. You don’t test them by other people. You test them by Scripture. Then if your fidelity is the Scripture, and your allegiance is the Scripture, you reject them! But, says Paul, in the last days men are going to be drawn away by false teachers and prophets in the Church speaking in the Name of Jesus and you’re not going to test them. You’re going to go along with them. And they’re gonna fragment and divide the Church because you won’t test them. Well, it’s about time we test them. (Note: For clarity I took the liberty of making a few changes. The original quote is onLet Us Reason Ministries.)

Rick Perry, Glenn Beck and Alan Dershowitz: Meshugener or Shmucks?

Mishugener is a Yiddish word meaning insane or crazy. A Schmuck is Yiddish for a self-made fool- but it also refers to male only anatomy.
Beck is a Mormon with close ties to the Tea Party and fundamentalist Christians. A fundamentalist is best understood as one who is so attached to their point of view that they have quit thinking!
Beck has been in Israel for more than a week preparing for his “Restoring Courage” rally which was attended by some of the 81 US Congressional Representatives who are in Israel on a junket paid for by the American Israel Education Foundation, an affiliate of AIPAC.
“One week before announcing his candidacy for president, Texas Governor Rick Perry led an all-day prayer rally in a stadium in Houston. Don Finto led the prayer for Israel and openly called for Israelis and all Jews to accept Jesus in order to bring “a great revival to the entire world.” [1]
Don Finto is the author of Your People Shall Be My People, which provides instructions in how to avoid overt proselytizing and emphasizes that Christian Zionists are Israel’s only friends.
True friends tell you the truth and the truth is that Christian Zionists are NO friend to the people of Israel or America!
As Mordechai Vanunu, the Whistle Blower of Israel’s WMD program explained to me in 2005:
“The time has come for the United States to see the truth of Zionism. It began as a secular nationalist movement, not a religious one. Then some Christians believed that when Israel became a nation, it was the beginning of the second coming. They are deluded if they believe peace will come through atomic weapons. Atomic weapons are holocaust weapons. Christians should be the first people against them. The Christians in America should be helping the Christians here. America needs to wake up to this fallacy that Jesus will come back by nuclear war. America needs to wake up to the fact that the Palestinian Christians here have no human rights. Aren’t Christians supposed to be concerned about other Christians? Aren’t Christians supposed to be concerned about all the poor and oppressed?” [2]
On August 22, 2011, Alan Deshowitz wrote: “Should Israel Welcome Glenn Beck’s Support?” Which was published first @ www.hudson-ny.org/2374/glenn-beck-israel
What follow his quotes are my rebuttals.
Deshowitz: “All decent people, whether on the left or the right, should support Israel’s right to exist as the democratic nation state of the Jewish people.”
All decent people, whether on the left or the right, should support Palestine’s right to exist and Israel is NOT a democracy!
In the May 28, 1993 edition of Yedioth Ahronoth, Ariel Sharon explained:
“The terms ‘democracy’ or ‘democratic’ are totally absent from the Declaration of Independence. This is not an accident. The intention of Zionism was not to bring democracy, needless to say. It was solely motivated by the creation in Eretz-Isrel of a Jewish state belonging to all the Jewish people and to the Jewish people alone. This is why any Jew of the Diaspora has the right to immigrate to Israel and to become a citizen of Israel.”
Jeff Halper, American Israeli, co-founder and coordinator of Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions and Professor of Anthropology wrote:
“An ethnocracy is the opposite of a democracy, although it might incorporate some elements of democracy such as universal citizenship and elections. It arises when one particular group-the Jews in Israel, the Russians in Russia, the Protestants in pre-1972 Northern Ireland, the whites in apartheid South Africa, the Shi’ite Muslims in Iran, the Malay in Malaysia and, if they had their way, the white Christian fundamentalists in the US-seize control of the government and armed forces in order to enforce a regime of exclusive privilege over other groups in what is in fact a multi-ethnic or multi-religious society. Ethnocracy, or ethno-nationalism, privileges ethnos over demos, whereby one’s ethnic affiliation, be it defined by race, descent, religion, language or national origin, takes precedence over citizenship in determining to whom a county actually ‘belongs.’” [3]
Deshowitz: “All decent people should support Israel’s right to defend its civilians from terrorist attacks.”
Indeed and decent people should also be able to read this chart courtesy of ifamericansknew.org
- 124 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 1,463 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000. (View Sources & More Information)
-
1,084 Israelis and at least 6,430 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000. (View Sources & More Information)
- 9,226 Israelis and 45,041 Palestinians have been injured since September 29, 2000. ( View Sources & More Information.)
Deshowitz: “All reasonable people should favor a just peace that assures Israel’s ability to thrive in a dangerous neighborhood and to defend its borders.”
Israel has NO declared borders and reasonable people should also be able to read a map-but they will not find the over 500 Palestinian villages and towns that were wiped [ethnically cleansed] from the so called holy land beginning in 1948, when Israel became a State:
Dershowitz: “The Jewish state is demonized by the hard left in America, by virtually the entire left in much of Europe, and by most of the left and right in Ireland, Norway and Sweden. Its right to exist is denied by a high proportion of Arabs and Muslims, and most of the Arab and Muslim nations do not have diplomatic relations with Israel.”
President Harry Truman crossed out the word “Jewish state” on the draft of the Establishment of Israel that was cabled him and substituted the “State of Israel” before he signed onto it.
Israel’s establishment was also contingent upon upholding the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Read more…
Dershowitz: “In many circles, anti-Zionism easily morphs into anti-Semitism.”
According to Webster’s Dictionary a SEMITE is a member of any of a number of peoples of ancient southwestern Asia including the Akkadians, Phoenicians, Hebrews, and Arabs or a descendant of these peoples, thus Palestinians are as much a Semite as any Jew!
Dershowitz: “The general assembly of the United Nations has become the world’s new Der Sturmer, whose podium hosts, and many of whose audience members cheer, virulent anti-Semites such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.”
In 2006, Virginia Tilley, Professor of political science wrote:
“In his October 2005 speech, Mr. Ahmadinejad never used the word ‘map’ or the term ‘wiped off.’ According to Farsi-language experts like Juan Cole and even right-wing services like MEMRI, what he actually said was ‘this regime that is occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time.’
“In this speech to an annual anti-Zionist conference, Mr. Ahmadinejad was being prophetic, not threatening. He was citing Imam Khomeini, who said this line in the 1980s-a period when Israel was actually selling arms to Iran, so apparently it was not viewed as so ghastly then.
“Mr. Ahmadinejad had just reminded his audience that the Shah’s regime, the Soviet Union, and Saddam Hussein had all seemed enormously powerful and immovable, yet the first two had vanished almost beyond recall and the third now languished in prison.
“So, too, the ‘occupying regime’ in Jerusalem would someday be gone. His message was, in essence: ‘This too shall pass.’”
Dershowitz: “One need not accept all of Beck’s positions on Israel—and I certainly do not—in order to agree with him that support of Israel is one of the great moral issues of the 21st Century.”
Indeed it is a moral issue and as Jeff Halper also explained:
“This conflict impacts the global community and especially everyone in the USA.
“Tony Blair said 70% of all the conflicts in the world can be traced back to the Israeli Palestinian conflict. If we do fix this conflict it would be a tremendous step forward in global reconciliation. This whole issue is based on Human Rights and it is a global issue requiring global intervention.“It has been said that the Israelis do not love this land, they just want to possess it. There have been three stages to make this occupation permanent. The first was to establish the facts on the ground; the settlements. There are ½ million Israeli’s and four million Palestinians here. They have been forced into Bantustan; truncated mini states; prison states. It is apartheid and Bush and Hillary are both willing collaborators.
“In 1977, Sharon came in with a mandate, money and resources to make the Israeli presence in the West Bank irreversible. The second stage began in April 2004 when America approved the Apartheid/Convergence/Realignment Plan and eight settlement blocs. This is just like South Africa!
“The Bush Sharon letter exchange guaranteed that the USA considers the settlements non-negotiable. The Convergence Plan and The Wall create the borders and that is what defines Bantustans. Congress ratified the Bush plan and only Senator Byrd of West Virginia voted no and nine House Representatives.
“Israel has set up a matrix of control; a thick web of settlements guaranteed to make the occupation permanent by establishing facts on the ground. Israel denies there is an occupation, so everything is reduced to terrorism. It is our job to insist upon the human rights issue, for occupied people have International Law on their side.” [4]
Dershowitz: “I welcome the support of religious Christians who love Israel for religious reasons. I abhor the ignorant and misguided efforts of other Christians, such as Jimmy Carter and Desmond Tutu, who misuse their faith against the Jewish state. I hope that more Christians will follow in Beck’s footsteps and take the time to visit Israel. They will see Christianity thriving in Israel.”
In 1947, 20% of the total population of the Holy Land was Christian.
Today, less than 1.3% of the total population of that troubled piece of real estate is Christian and unless things change very soon, Holy Land churches will soon be nothing more than museums for the Christian Exodus coupled with their low birth rates may be the end of Christianity in the Holy Land.
Jimmy Carter’s Plan for Peace in the Holy Land calls for President Obama to courageously address the complex conflict with details resolved by the two sides but which follows the following framework:
1. A demilitarized Palestinian state, with Israeli forces being replaced by an international security force that will allow freedom of peaceful movement and that will respond to any violence from either side.
2. Mutually acceptable modifications, with land swaps to the 1967 border which allows Israelis in and around Jerusalem to remain, but a withdrawal of all other settlers from the West Bank.
3. A shared Jerusalem that will be the capital of both states.
4. The right of Palestinian refugees to return to the West Bank and Gaza and compensation to those with proven claims to the land.
ON April 29, 2002, South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu spoke about how “very deeply distressed” he was by what he observed in his recent visit to the Holy Land, “It reminded me so much of what happened in South Africa.”
The Nobel peace laureate saw “the humiliation of the Palestinians at checkpoints and roadblocks, suffering like us when young white police officers prevented us from moving about. Referring to Americans, he added, “People are scared in this country to say wrong is wrong because the Jewish lobby is powerful—very powerful. Well, so what? The apartheid government was very powerful, but today it no longer exists.” [5]
Dershowitz: “Consider Nelson Mandela’s alliances with some of most brutal dictatorships (Libya, Cuba, Syria) and supporters of terrorism (P.L.O., Iran) while he was engaged in his just struggle against the evils of apartheid. I do not recall the left condemning Mandela for doing what he had to do. But the same left was unforgiving in Israel when it was forced to make some strategic military deals with South Africa, while strongly opposing its apartheid policies.”
“An apartheid society is much more than just a ‘settler colony’. It involves specific forms of oppression that actively strip the original inhabitants of any rights at all, whereas civilian members of the invader caste are given all kinds of sumptuous privileges.” [6]
On May 14, 1948, The Declaration of the establishment of Israel affirmed that, “The State of Israel will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel: it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion it will guarantee freedom of religion [and] conscience and will be faithful to the Charter of the United Nations.”
However, reality intrudes, for “The truth, which is known to all; through its army, the government of Israel practices a brutal form of Apartheid in the territory it occupies. Its army has turned every Palestinian village and town into a fenced-in, or blocked-in, detention camp.”- Shulamit Aloni, Israeli Minister of Education, quoted in Yediot Acharonot , December 20, 2006.
In 1953, South Africa’s Prime Minister Daniel Malan became the first foreign head of government to visit Israel and he returned home with the message that Israel could be a source of inspiration for white South Africans.
In 1962, South African Prime Minister Verwoerd declared that Jews “took Israel from the Arabs after the Arabs had lived there for a thousand years. In that I agree with them, Israel, like South Africa, is an apartheid state.”
On August 1, 1967, Israel enacted the Agricultural Settlement Law, which bans Israeli citizens of non-Jewish nationality- Palestinian Arabs- from working on Jewish National Fund lands, well over 80% of the land in Israel.
Knesset member Uri Avnery stated: “This law is going to expel Arab cultivators from the land that was formerly theirs and was handed over to the Jews.”
On April 4, 1969, General Moshe Dayan is quoted in the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz telling students at Israel’s Technion Institute that “Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You don’t even know the names of these Arab villages, and I don’t blame you, because these geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either… There is not one single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population.”
On April 28, 1971: C. L. Sulzberger, writing in The New York Times, quoted South African Prime Minister John Vorster as saying that Israel is faced with an apartheid problem, namely how to handle its Arab inhabitants.
Sulzberger wrote: “Both South Africa and Israel are in a sense intruder states. They were built by pioneers originating abroad and settling in partially inhabited areas.”
On September 13, 1978, in Washington, D.C., The Camp David Accords were signed by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and witnessed by President Jimmy Carter.
The Accords reaffirmed U.N. Resolutions 242 and 338, which prohibited acquisition of land by force, called for Israel’s withdrawal of military and civilian forces from the West Bank and Gaza, and prescribed “full autonomy” for the inhabitants of the territories.
Prime Minister Begin promised Carter to freeze all settlement activity during the subsequent peace talks.
Once back in Israel, however, the Israeli prime minister continued to confiscate, settle, and fortify the occupied territories.
On September 13, 1985, Rep. George Crockett (D-MI), after visiting the Israeli-occupied West Bank, compares the living conditions there with those of South African blacks and concluded that the West Bank is an instance of apartheid that no one in the U.S. is talking about.
In July 2000, President Bill Clinton convened the Camp David II Peace Summit between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.
Clinton—not Barak—offered Arafat the withdrawal of some 40,000 Jewish settlers, leaving more than 180,000 in 209 settlements, all of which are interconnected by roads that cover approximately 10% of the occupied land. Effectively, this divides the West Bank into at least two non-contiguous areas and multiple fragments. Palestinians would have no control over the borders around them, the air space above them, or the water reserves under them.
Barak called it a generous offer. Arafat refused to sign.
On August 31, 2001l in Durban, South Africa, up to 50,000 South Africans marched in support of the Palestinian people.
In their “Declaration by South Africans on Apartheid and the Struggle for Palestine” they proclaimed:
“We, South Africans who lived for decades under rulers with a colonial mentality, see Israeli occupation as a strange survival of colonialism in the 21st century. Only in Israel do we hear of ‘settlements’ and ‘settlers.’
“Only in Israel do soldiers and armed civilian groups take over hilltops, demolish homes, uproot trees and destroy crops, shell schools, churches and mosques, plunder water reserves, and block access to an indigenous population’s freedom of movement and right to earn a living.
“These human rights violations were unacceptable in apartheid South Africa and are an affront to us in apartheid Israel.”
October 23, 2001: Ronnie Kasrils, a Jewish Minister in the South African government, co-authored the petition “Not in My Name” which was signed by some 200 members of South Africa’s Jewish community and reads:
“It becomes difficult, from a South African perspective, not to draw parallels with the oppression expressed by Palestinians under the hand of Israel and the oppression experienced in South Africa under apartheid rule.”
Three years later, Kasrils went to the Occupied Territories and concluded:
“This is much worse than apartheid. Israeli measures, the brutality, make apartheid look like a picnic. We never had jets attacking our townships. We never had sieges that lasted month after month. We never had tanks destroying houses. We had armored vehicles and police using small arms to shoot people but not on this scale.”
American academic, Sasha Polakow-Suransky, wrote in “The Unspoken Alliance: Israel’s secret alliance with Apartheid South Africa” that Israeli officials “formally offered to sell South Africa some of the nuclear-capable Jericho missiles in its arsenal” and that PW Botha, South Africa’s defense minister asked Shimon Peres-who was then Israel’s defense minister-for nuclear warheads.
Peres offered them “in three sizes” which are understood as conventional, chemical and nuclear weapons.
The two signed a broad-ranging agreement governing military ties between the two countries that included a clause declaring that “the very existence of this agreement” was to remain secret.
On 4 June 1975, Peres and Botha met in Zurich and by then, the Jericho project had been renamed Chalet. The top-secret minutes of that meeting recorded that:
“Minister Botha expressed interest in a limited number of units of Chalet subject to the correct payload being available…Minister Peres said the correct payload was available in three sizes. Minister Botha expressed his appreciation.” [7]
Botha did not go ahead with the deal because of the cost and the fact that final approval was dependent on Israel’s prime minister.
South Africa did build its own nuclear bombs and also provided much of the yellowcake uranium that Israel required to develop its nuclear arsenal.
The documents also confirmed that former South African naval commander, Dieter Gerhardt admitted there was an agreement between Israel and South Africa called “Chalet” that involved an offer by Israel to arm eight Jericho missiles with “special warheads” understood as atomic bombs.
“Some weeks before Peres made his offer of nuclear warheads to Botha, the two defense ministers signed a covert agreement governing the military alliance known as Secment. It was so secret that it included a denial of its own existence: ‘It is hereby expressly agreed that the very existence of this agreement shall be secret and shall not be disclosed by either party.’”
That ‘secret’ military agreement signed by Shimon Peres and P W Botha of South Africa can be seen here:
- Revealed: how Israel offered to sell South Africa nuclear weapons
Come this September, the U.N. General Assembly will vote on whether to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state with full rights in the United Nations.
The UN was the body that carved up the so-called holy land.
Here’s hoping that come this September the UN will do justice for Palestine which requires that Israel be held accountable to its promises.
Here’s hoping that we the people of the world will never forget that all life is interconnected and that what is good for Americans is good for Israelis, Palestinians, and Everyone in the World:

We Don’t Need Another George W. Bush
August 12, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Last Saturday, Texas Governor Rick Perry unofficially launched his 2012 Presidential candidacy in Houston (in my opinion). Speculation is he will officially announce his intentions this weekend in South Carolina. If he does declare his candidacy, many election-watchers say Perry will become the GOP frontrunner, due to an extremely weak field of declared candidates. If Perry does declare his candidacy, everyone will know that the Houston event was staged for the purpose of launching his Presidential bid, rhetoric to the contrary notwithstanding.
If Perry declares his candidacy (and I’m confident he will), people should also realize that the Houston event was a precursor to the type of campaign that Perry will use throughout the Republican primary season. As a fellow Texan, it was not lost on Rick Perry how George W. Bush obtained the Republican nomination–and eventually the White House. In short, Rick Perry is going to use the G.W. Bush model to win a Presidential election.
Think about it: G.W. Bush won the White House after an extremely unpopular liberal Democrat had been President. Barack Obama’s popularity is even lower than Bill Clinton’s was–and Clinton was only the second President in US history to ever be impeached! Bush’s campaign boss, Karl Rove, brilliantly painted G.W. Bush as being a wholesome “born again Christian,” which played very well with a Christian electorate that was tired of being embarrassed by a lying, philandering reprobate living in the White House.
In 2012, the American electorate, especially the Christian electorate, is totally fed up with an incumbent President whom everyone knows to be extremely sympathetic to Muslim and Marxist ideologies. Plus, a sizeable percentage of the American people truly suspect that Obama was NOT born in the United States and is, therefore, not even qualified to be President. This is the stage upon which Rick Perry appears. It is a stage very similar to the one George W. Bush stepped onto in 2000. And just as Bush played the “born again Christian” card to the max in the 2000 Presidential campaign, so Rick Perry appears to be ready to do in 2012. That is what the Houston event was all about last Saturday.
Billed as “A Day of Prayer and Fasting,” the event solidified Perry’s preferred status among evangelical Christians. With the help of the American Family Association (which reportedly contributed up to a million dollars to the event), James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, and Cornerstone Church’s (San Antonio) Pastor John Hagee, Perry is all but assured of cornering the “born again” vote, just as G.W. Bush did in 2000.
One would like to think that America’s Christians learned something from the two GWB administrations, but it doesn’t appear that they have. I think it is safe to say that Dobson, Hagee, et al, would endorse ANYONE nominated by the Republican Party. They have already proven that, have they not? James Dobson went so far as to humiliate himself by endorsing big government John McCain in the 2008 general elections, even after vowing publicly that he would “NEVER” support McCain. During the primaries, however, the Republican candidate who can “talk the Bible” the best can expect the support of these clueless evangelical leaders. And this time around, it appears that Rick Perry is that man. You can rest assured if Perry doesn’t win the nomination, Dobson and Hagee will be right there for whoever does.
For the record, I invite anyone out there who still labors under the delusion that George W. Bush presided over some kind of “born again” Christian administration to check out the vast amounts of information I have compiled on my web site that exposes Bush as being just another big government elitist, who did as much (or more) to strip America of its God-given liberties as any other President in history. See the record at:
http://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/?page_id=38
Furthermore, even cursory research will uncover the fact that the Bush and Clinton families have long collaborated together in criminal activity on a massive scale–activity that, in all likelihood, continues to this very day. (I still say, don’t be surprised if Obama dumps Joe Biden as his Vice President and puts Hillary Clinton on the ticket before next year’s elections.)
Of course, G.W. Bush was never held accountable by evangelical Christian voters for his unconstitutional conduct. All they cared about was Bush’s Christian rhetoric. And it does appear that is all they care about today. As a result, Rick Perry will prove to be a formidable candidate in the GOP primaries.
I have said over and over again that I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States! The pious rhetoric of political candidates means nothing!
If I hire a plumber to fix a drainage problem at my house, I am not interested so much in where he goes to church, or whether he teaches Sunday School, or what denomination he claims. I am hiring him to fix my plumbing! We sign a contract, he and I. I promise to pay him “X” amount of dollars, and he promises that when he’s finished, my toilets will flush. Christian or not, I expect him to honor the terms of his contract.
Ladies and gentlemen, when we elect a civil magistrate (at any level), we are entering into a contract with the one we elected. We gave them our support, which allowed them to obtain public office, and they promise (before Almighty God) to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. They do not promise to be “good Christians.” They do not promise to be “good Republicans.” They do not promise to be “good conservatives.” They take an oath before God (they sign a contract with the American people) to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. And it is our job as citizens to hold our civil magistrates to their oath! In fact, if any elected office holder were a TRUE Christian, he or she would take their oath even more seriously, would they not?
Instead of being excited about a candidate claiming to be a Christian, or claiming to pray and read his or her Bible, we need to get excited about a candidate who is serious about preserving the liberties of the American people, and who makes a commitment to protect and preserve the principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and US Constitution!
Before we talk about Rick Perry’s commitment to prayer and fasting, let’s find out if Rick Perry believes that there must be a Declaration of War before America begins invading, bombing, and occupying foreign countries. Let’s find out if he believes he has the authority as President to use US military forces against American citizens. Let’s find out if he believes he has the authority to give billions and trillions of dollars away to foreign countries. Let’s find out if he plans to commit US military forces to the whims of the United Nations Security Council. Let’s find out if he supports the Military Commissions Act. Let’s find out if he supports the Patriot Act. Let’s find out if he believes the US government has the authority to use super-computers and advanced technology to continue to turn the United States into a giant surveillance-society. Let’s find out how serious he is about closing that southern border: speaking of which, what did Rick Perry do as governor of the border State of Texas to stop illegal immigration? And while we are on the subject of Border States, what did Rick Perry do to stop the NAFTA superhighway? Before we get excited about Rick Perry being a “good Christian,” let’s find out if he supports the Council of Governors, or the North American Union, or the Continuity of Government, or Agenda 21. Let’s find out if Perry will launch a Justice Department investigation into the ATF’s (under Barack Obama and Eric Holder) clandestine operation of providing firearms to Mexican drug gangs. We could go on and on with these kinds of questions.
The sad truth is, our illustrious evangelical leaders on the right are just as culpable in the dismantling and deterioration of the American republic as are those on the political or religious left! Both sides are willing to give their favored politicos a pass on constitutional governance. And ladies and gentlemen, that is why it hasn’t mattered to a tinker’s dam whether a Democrat or Republican, “liberal” or “conservative” is in the White House! And that’s why it won’t matter in 2012.
Besides, if James Dobson and John Hagee were truly interested in protecting and preserving the principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and US Constitution, they would be promoting the candidacy of Ron Paul. But, unfortunately, they wouldn’t do it in 2008, and they won’t do it in 2012. They lack both the courage and the sagacity.
We don’t need another George W. Bush in the White House. For that matter, we don’t need another Jimmy Carter in the White House. What we need is a President (governor, mayor, sheriff, etc.) who will preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States!

Social Media History Becomes a New Job Hurdle
July 22, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Companies have long used criminal background checks, credit reports and even searches on Google and LinkedIn to probe the previous lives of prospective employees. Now, some companies are requiring job candidates to also pass a social media background check.
A year-old start-up, Social Intelligence, scrapes the Internet for everything prospective employees may have said or done online in the past seven years.
Then it assembles a dossier with examples of professional honors and charitable work, along with negative information that meets specific criteria: online evidence of racist remarks; references to drugs; sexually explicit photos, text messages or videos; flagrant displays of weapons or bombs and clearly identifiable violent activity.
“We are not detectives,” said Max Drucker, chief executive of the company, which is based in Santa Barbara, Calif. “All we assemble is what is publicly available on the Internet today.”
The Federal Trade Commission, after initially raising concerns last fall about Social Intelligence’s business, determined the company is in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, but the service still alarms privacy advocates who say that it invites employers to look at information that may not be relevant to job performance.
And what relevant unflattering information has led to job offers being withdrawn or not made? Mr. Drucker said that one prospective employee was found using Craigslist to look for OxyContin. A woman posing naked in photos she put up on an image-sharing site didn’t get the job offer she was seeking at a hospital.
Other background reports have turned up examples of people making anti-Semitic comments and racist remarks, he said. Then there was the job applicant who belonged to a , “This Is America. I Shouldn’t Have to Press 1 for English.” This raises a question. “Does that mean you don’t like people who don’t speak English?” asked Mr. Drucker rhetorically.
Mr. Drucker said his goal was to conduct pre-employment screenings that would help companies meet their obligation to conduct fair and consistent hiring practices while protecting the privacy of job candidates.
For example, he said the reports remove references to a person’s religion, race, marital status, sexual orientation, disability and other information protected under federal employment laws, which companies are not supposed to ask about during interviews. Also, job candidates must first consent to the background check, and they are notified of any adverse information found.
He argues the search reduces the risk that employers may confuse the job candidate with someone else or expose the company to information that is not legally allowable or relevant. “Googling someone is ridiculously unfair,” he said. “An employer could discriminate against someone inadvertently. Or worse, they are exposing themselves to all kinds of allegations about discrimination.”
Marc S. Rotenberg, president of the , based in Washington, said that employers were entitled to gather information to make a determination about job-related expertise, but he expressed concern that “employers should not be judging what people in their private lives do away from the workplace.”
Less than a third of the data surfaced by Mr. Drucker’s firm comes from such major social platforms as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. He said much of the negative information about job candidates comes from deep Web searches that find comments on blogs and posts on smaller social sites, like Tumblr, the blogging site, as well as Yahoo user groups, e-commerce sites, bulletin boards and even Craigslist.
Then there are the photos and videos that people post — or find themselves tagged in — on Facebook and YouTube and other sharing sites like Flickr, Picasa, Yfrog and Photobucket.
And it is photos and videos that seem to get most people in trouble. “Sexually explicit photos and videos are beyond comprehension,” Mr. Drucker said. “We also see flagrant displays of weapons. And we see a lot of illegal activity. Lots and lots of pictures of drug use.”
He recalled one man who had 15 pages of photos showing himself with various guns, including an assault rifle. Another man included pictures of himself standing in a greenhouse with large marijuana plants.
Given complex “terms of service” agreements on most sites and Web applications, Mr. Rotenberg said people do not always realize that comments or content they generate are publicly available.
“People are led to believe that there is more limited disclosure than there actually is, in many cases,” he said, pointing out that Facebook’s frequent changes to its privacy settings in recent years may have put some people at risk in getting a job now because of personal information they might have inadvertently made public.
“What Facebook was doing was taking people’s personal information that they made available to family and friends and make that information available more widely to prospective employers,” said Mr. Rotenberg, whose organization has several pending complaints at the Federal Trade Commission about Facebook’s privacy settings.
Joe Bontke, for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s office in Houston, said that he regularly reminds employers and human resource managers about the risks of violating federal antidiscrimination employment rules and laws by using online research in hiring decisions.
“Things that you can’t ask in an interview are the same things you can’t research,” he said, which includes the gamut of information covering a person’s age, gender, religion, disability, national origin and race.
That said, he added that 75 percent of recruiters are required by their companies to do online research of candidates. And 70 percent of recruiters in the United States report that they have rejected candidates because of information online, he said.
Dave Clark, owner of Impulse Advanced Communications, a telecommunications company in Southern California, began relying on Social Intelligence for background screening because he said the company needed a formal strategy and standards before assembling online information about job candidates. “They provided us with a standardized, arm’s-length way of using this additional information to make better hiring decisions,” he said.
About half of all companies, based on government and private surveys, now use credit reports as part of the hiring process, except in those states that limit or restrict their use. As with social media background checks, there are concerns about information that is surfaced. The equal employment agency filed a lawsuit last December against the Kaplan Higher Education Corporation, accusing it of discriminating against black job applicants in the way it used credit histories in its hiring process.
But it is not unusual for senior-level executives in many companies to undergo even more complete background checks by a private investigating firm.
“We are living in a world where you have an amazing amount of information and data on every executive,” said , an executive recruiter in the converging technology, media and communications industry. “I think that puts the burden on the recruiter and the hiring manager to be really thoughtful about what is important and not important when making the hiring decision.”

Zombies in Your Head, Not Mind, Control Daily Life
July 16, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment

You may feel in control, but you’re actually driven by neural “zombie systems” you’ll never even be aware of.
David Eagleman’s “Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain,” strips away the primacy of our conscious mind, exploring the underlying forces actually determining our choices.
Directing the Laboratory for Perception and Action at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Eagleman studies time, synesthesia and neurolaw.
But he’s no ordinary neuroscientist. “Sum,” his book of short stories about various afterlives, is an international best-seller, translated into 23 languages. It led to a collaboration with Brian Eno; composer Max Richter will debut a full-length work based on “Sum” next year atLondon’s Royal Opera House; and the screen rights have just been sold.
We spoke at Bloomberg world headquarters in Manhattan.
Lundborg: How is consciousness like a “tiny stowaway on a transatlantic steamship?”
Eagleman: The conscious mind is the smallest bit of what’s transpiring in the brain.
Even though we feel like we’re the ones navigating our lives, there is quite a bit about our desires, our motivations, our attractions, our hopes and our beliefs that is generated by parts of our brain that we don’t have access to and we’re not even acquainted with.
The brain is essentially this massive computational device that runs all of its operations under the hood.

Ed Note: “The brain is essentially this massive computational device that runs all of its operations under the hood.” We’re automatons behaving at the whim of a fleshy blob of protein?
Robotic shells with no capacity for free will? ~E
Lundborg: So many implications — for example, you say men find women with dilated eyes more attractive without knowing why.
Eagleman: Yes. When men were shown photographs of women’s faces, the men uniformly found the women with dilated eyes more attractive.
None of the men were able to say “Oh, I noticed her pupils were a millimeter larger in this photo.” And none of the men knew consciously that dilated eyes are a sign of sexual readiness in women.
Nonetheless, their brains knew that. They have all kinds of information that their brains are picking up at a deeper level, and it drives them toward that behavior.
Lundborg: Men want full lips, full buttocks, and a narrow waist, while women a full jaw, stubble, and a broad chest.
Eagleman: These are signs that broadcast one signal: “I am fertile.” It’s not that we’re really making a choice about what we find beautiful; we have millions of years of evolution driving us towards having that conscious summary.
Lundborg: What happens to romance?
Eagleman: We feel love, but it all has to do with securing a mate and reproduction and so on, which is not to say that we can’t enjoy every bit of it. But it’s not there without purpose.

Lundborg: Do the “zombie systems” running things without any input from the conscious mind mean free will is an illusion?
Eagleman: Some scientists think so, but what I conclude is that we might have free will but it’s probably going to be a bit player in the operations of the brain.
Consciousness does seem to be useful for setting the long- term goals of the system exactly the same way that a CEO does.
Lundborg: You say we’re nearing a time when stock market data could be plugged directly into the brain. How would that work?
Eagleman: This is the subject of my next book on brain plasticity, called “Live Wired.”
The brain is this alien kind of computational device that can wrap itself around whatever inputs it has. So there’s nothing special about eyes and ears and nose. Those are just essentially peripheral plug and play devices that can send data fibers into the brain, and the brain figures out what to do with it.
You should be able to plug anything, any data cables, into the brain and it will learn how to interpret those and it will actually have perception.
Lundborg: How exactly do we plug those in?
Eagleman: Electrodes directly into the cortex, but it’s not safe yet.
Lundborg: How can science address larger business issues?
Eagleman: Your brain operates as a team of rivals. You are made up of all these competing neural networks that we can image now, these networks that are all battling it out under the hood.
This gives us a new and nuanced way of understanding how people make decisions. When we look at things like financial markets, the future of economics is agent-based modeling, where people look at how individual humans make decisions and interact with one another, combined with the diversity of human beings.
The future of economics is going to be simulating giant populations of people interacting and trading with one another, and that’s something I’m interested in doing in the future.
Lundborg: What are you working on now in the lab?
Eagleman: Among other things, I’m studying time perception, and what’s surprising is that it’s so fluid and that we’re not just passively tracking this river of time. It’s that we’re actively constructing it with our brains. In my lab, I can show that it’s flexible.
Lundborg: What are you writing?
Eagleman: My next four books are well under way and some of them are almost done now. The first is on how the brain rewires its circuits all the time.
Then I’m finishing a cognitive neuroscience textbook for undergraduates.
There’s “Brain Food,” essentially “Freakonomics” for the brain. It’s all this really cool stuff that you’ve never read anywhere else.
And then I’m working on “Eon,” my book of fiction, which takes place over 200 billion years.

America Is Not A Free Country – 2011 Edition
July 4, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Independence Day is upon us. This July 4 we will celebrate the 235th anniversary of our independence from Britain and our birth as a free nation. We will watch fireworks, go to barbecues, go camping (at tax-funded state and national parks), go to baseball games (in tax-funded stadiums) and hear endless talk about how goldurned wonderful it is that we live in a free country.
Or do we live in a free country?
Consider the following.
In a free country, taxation would be well-nigh non-existent. You could keep what you earned and you could spend, save, invest and donate as you saw fit. You would have far more money with which to solve your own problems.
In a free country, there would not be 20,000-plus laws on the books infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Crime would plummet as criminals – in both the private and public sectors – would never know who was armed.
In a free country, police brutality would be almost non-existent. The popo – this also means the IRS, TSA, DEA, CPS, yadda, yadda, yadda – would be subject to the same penalties as lowly mundanes when they violated the rights of others.
In a free country, you could educate your children as you saw fit, without asking anyone’s permission. You could home school you kids if you wanted. Catholics could send their kids to the Our Lady of Mercy School; Baptists could send their kids to the Obadiah Baptist School; Mormons could send their kids to the Joseph Smith school; Muslims could send their kids to the Allah Akbar School; believers in Mungabunga could send their kids to Mungabunga school. If you are not spiritual, you could send your kids to the Whitney Houston School — “Where the children are the future” – or to the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young School – “Where we teach your children well”. Prayer, declining academic standards, evolution, creation, condoms, busing, standardized testing, bullying, discipline, dress codes and all the other debates surrounding education today would cease to be social issues.
In a free country, businesses would not be crushed in a regulatory vise grip. Millions of jobs would stay here in America rather than going to Honduras and Bangladesh.
In a free country, the military would be used strictly for national defense. We would not have troops in 135 countries. We would heed the Founders’ advice and steer clear of foreign alliances, which have been nothing but trouble. We would withdraw from the United Nations and all its subsidiary organizations. Terrorism would cease to be a threat. Were we not throwing our weight around so recklessly “over there”, hatred and resentment toward the United States would be far, far less.
In a free country, we would not have the world’s highest incarceration rate.
In a free country, jurors could judge not only the facts pertaining to a given case, but also the law relevant to that case. If Juror Smith thought Defendant Jones was being tried under a bad law, Juror Smith could vote to acquit on that basis and that basis alone.
In a free country, the value of money would be tied to gold and/or silver. The Federal Reserve Bank would be shut down. We would not see our savings and our futures eroded by inflation. And we would not owe bazillions of dollars to folks who already have bazillions of dollars.
In a free country, it would take neither a village nor a police state to raise a child. Government would not act in loco parentis for an absentee Mommy and Daddy. Parents would be responsible for raising their own children. Most of the problems we have with kids today – sex, drugs, violence – would be greatly minimized.
In a free country there would be no war on drugs. Drug profits and street crime would become almost nonexistent. It would not be the government’s job to keep people off of drugs. It would be the job of parents, churches, Mungabunga temples, etc. Back when it was this way, there was almost no “drug problem” at all. (If the Mungabunga people smoke that hoochy hooch in their rituals, they would be free to do so without fear of SWAT raids.)

Not only did we not learn anything from our “noble experiment” of alcohol prohibition, but we are now doing it bigger and uglier.
In a free country, we would not constantly be relinquishing our freedom in exchange for security. People would know that the greatest threat to their security comes from their own government.
In a free country, if a state decided it had had enough of rule by Washington, D.C., it could secede from the union without fear of reprisal.
In a free country, there would be no law forbidding what you could ingest into your body. If a certain remedy worked, your doctor could recommend it and you could take it without fear of punishment.
In a free country, there would be no welfare state, no education state and no medical state. There would not be a permanent underclass, the quality of education would be vastly improved, and medicine would be far less expensive. Moreover, immigrants would know that coming to America would mean either sink or swim. Deadbeats would not come here looking for a handout. And immigrants would, out of social and economic necessity, learn English.
In a free country, there would be no minimum wage. Millions of jobs would be created in the inner cities overnight. Congressmen and senators would be paid what they are worth.
In a free country, there would be no Selective Service System. Young men would not be so many slabs of meat for the military grinder.
In a free country, there would be no Patriot Act. There would be no “sneak and peek” warrants. The authorities would have to obtain a warrant to review your bank accounts and e-mails. Habeas Corpus would be secure.
In a free country, there would be no surrender of sovereignty to entities like the UN, where we can be outvoted 2-1 by such paragons of freedom as Sudan and North Korea. Our troops would not be involved in UN sponsored wars. Moreover, things like NATO and the International Criminal Court would no longer have any relevance.
In a free country, there would be no “promise” of Social Security at age 62 or 65 or 67 or … how far back will they have moved it when you reach your golden years? You could take that same money and put it in the most profitable private sector investments you could find. Furthermore, you would not be constantly tracked by means of your Social Security Number.
In a free country, you would only be punished if you inflicted actual harm on another person or their property. Randy Weaver’s wife and son would still be alive. The Branch Davidians would be living in peace on the outskirts of Waco. Non-violent drug offenders would not waste away in cages, while convicted rapists and murderers went free.
In a free country, churches would truly be exempt from taxation, which would be minimal to begin with. Pastors would not be chilled into political correctness by 501c3 regulations.
In a free country, we would not have adopted nine of the ten “planks” of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto. How have we done this?
In a free country, your property rights would not be under attack. (Plank 1) There would be no zoning laws. You could not lose your home or business for failure to pay taxes. There would be no EPA harassment of landowners over “wetlands” and other issues. The FEDGOV would not be the nation’s largest landowner.
In a free country, there would be no progressive income tax. (Plank 2) Again, there would be no IRS. Period.
In a free country, there would be no inheritance tax. (Plank 3)
In a free country, there would be no confiscation of property of those who resisted the powers that be. (Plank 4) There would be no civil asset forfeiture laws.
In a free country, there would not be a central bank. (Plank 5) There would be no Federal Reserve and we would not have an umpteengazillion dollar national debt.
In a free country, there would be no government control of communications and transportation. (Plank 6) There would be no FCC, DOT, ICC, etc. Airports would not be mini-police states. Sexual assault would not be a condition of travel.
In a free country, there would be no government intrusion in manufacturing and agriculture. (Plank 7) There would be no Department of Labor or Department of Agriculture. Your business could not be shut down for OSHA violations. There would be no federal farm subsidies or price supports.
In a free country, there would be no federal control of labor. (Plank 8 ) There would be no National Labor Relations Board, no minimum wage laws, no affirmative action or racial quotas.
The merger of agriculture and industry (Plank 9) is tough to explain in one short paragraph. The centralizers can only be happy that farming is increasingly controlled by conglomerates that are far more likely to kiss up to the FEDGOV than a family that has worked the same piece of land for three generations.
In a free country, the government would not be in control of education. (Plank 10) While neither the Bible nor any of America’s Founding documents say anything about state education, you will find state education as a policy prescription of the Communist Manifesto.
So there you have it.
America is not a free country.
I know, I know, I know: I can vote and I can write this essay without fear of punishment. And no one is being hauled off to death camps in America. At least not yet.
The incineration of 80 innocent people by the FEDGOV at Waco in 1993 was a trial balloon floated before a brainwashed nation. Grotesquely excessive force was used for no good reason, and millions of Americans derisively giggled at “that cult.” When they came for the Davidians, we did not say anything because we were not Davidians.
Today, millions of Americans still buy the lie that America is a free country. Hitler knew the power of the lie: if you lie to people often enough, they will believe anything. And while we are not at the Hitler phase yet, we will arrive there if we keep (a) believing everything our government – or at least our preferred faction of the ruling class – says and (b) believing we are a free nation. You cannot have it both ways.
Sadly, some people will not clue in until the death camp phase. I pray fervently that enough Americans wake up before then.
Scripture tells us to preach the truth without ceasing, for there will come a time when people will not want to hear the truth. Rather, they will surround themselves with ear-ticklers who will tell them whatever they want to hear, regardless of how preposterous. (II Timothy 4:2-4)
People ask me if I get frustrated fighting the freedom fight in a society where so many will gladly relinquish freedom for a false sense of security. Yes I do! However, I must continue to fight this fight and leave the results to God.
Happy Fourth of July.

Disturbing Language Reality Facing America
June 11, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Whether I write about Detroit, Michigan dropping a million people because of the crime, immigration, illiteracy and welfare issues—or I write about our culture and language spiraling into the toilet, year after year, not enough Americans will stand up and speak out.
The immigration issue continues to add 3.1 million people to this country every year, but Americans, much like sheep, watch it continue—without saying a stinking word. By the time it becomes uncontrollable, we will have lost our national language, culture or way of life. And, we won’t get it back!
If you haven’t seen Detroit, Michigan in pictures, please write me at and I’ll show you what all our cities face with relentless immigration from the third world. I don’t know how anyone thinks we’re going to survive the fracturing and Balkanization of our civilization. It’s headed for the toilet and cities like LA, Detroit, Chicago, Miami and Houston provide plenty of examples.
But once we lose our language, we face a nasty future. Rolando Neghme, South Padre Island, Texas gives us a glimpse of the Mexican invasion:
“Your article May 16, 2011 and a San Francisco Chronicle article on the fast growing 50.5 million Hispanic population in the U.S. posted on American Patrol Report,” Neghme said. “I live in South Texas near the Brownsville border. Here, the Mexican-Hispanic population vastly outnumbers the European-English speaking population. As a matter of routine Spanish is commonly spoken in this region, you hear it in the stores, your Post Office, government buildings, churches, repair men, condominium building staff, building residents, TV channels, radio and everywhere else you go.
“On week-ends at the grocery stores and Wal-Mart, it is like living in a Mexico‘s barrio. Families with five or more children are a common denominator. The number of unsupervised children playing with store toys, standing inside grocery food carts, running in the store, opening food packages and loudly crying is simply mind boggling. This is the rapidly approaching future of America.
“Some weeks ago my wife, a non-Hispanic and not a Spanish speaking person and I, encountered a Notary Public at the Bank speaking to both my wife and me in Spanish. I responded to his questions in English but he continued to speak in Spanish throughout the transaction. I at no time spoke to him in Spanish. Later we went to the Texas Office of our County Tax Assessor and once again, we encountered the same situation, me speaking in English my County government official speaking in Spanish. Conversing with a friend I told him of my experience. He shared with me his wife’s experience at the County Jury Duty Court where the proceedings by the Judge were being conducted in Spanish. Both, my friend and his wife are English speaking only.
“I myself was born in South America in a Hispanic country and for a long time now an American citizen, I always use English but I am often being addressed in Spanish. I wonder why I am being PROFILED and spoken in Spanish by obviously Spanish-English speaking people. Why is their assumption that I don’t speak English or that Spanish is my language of preference, as apparently is theirs but not mine. Why I am being forced to have to ask to be spoken in English my language of preference in what used to be an English speaking Nation. Is it because I’m “Hispanic” and I do speak English with a foreign born accent?
“Our United States of America is being aggressively transformed into a Third World hellish Hispanic country where Spanish and English will be the two prevalent languages spoken. I mention Spanish before English because I fear Spanish will shortly become the main spoken language in the U.S.
“I also fear we are ceasing to be a Nation because there is little in this region where I live that resembles a people who share common customs, origins, history, language and allegiance to our American flag.”
The wise philosopher Emanuel Kant said, “The two great dividers are language and religion.”
Any American in most of the major cities has seen their high schools turned into idiot factories. Where Americans fled Detroit, Michigan, they did not speak up or make their Congress-critters stop mass immigration. With the projected 72 million added immigrants imported into the USA by 2035, it will not do any good to flee when immigrant numbers grow beyond feeding, employing, watering, medicating and sheltering them.
This “immigration thing” will get SO ugly in another 10-20 years, we will not be able to maintain America. And yet, like sheep, most Americans watch their country degrade, decline and devolve. It is quite sickening to see it because I have seen the end result in my world travels. Once we hit Third World rock bottom, “up” will not be an option. We will devolve into another third world country.

Why We Chose The Flathead Valley Of Montana
June 10, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Last weekend, we had people visit us here in the Flathead Valley of Montana from at least eight states: Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. And since my family and I moved here last October, people have moved here from at least a dozen states. And many more are in the process of moving or trying to move.
As I was speaking with an out-of-State guest last Sunday, he asked me, what was it that made you decide to move to Montana’s Flathead Valley, as opposed to Idaho or some other State? Of course, that is a very fair question. I will attempt to answer that question in today’s column. As a Christian, I believe that “the steps of a trusting man are ordered by the Lord.” So, ultimately, I believe that the superintending hand of God guides and directs those who put their trust in Him. Accordingly, I believe that our move from Florida to Montana was directed by divine providence. What follows are the reasons, factors, and philosophies that guided us to this wonderful valley.
Cities
During the 18 months between the summer of 2008 and the end of 2009, I traveled more than 60,000 miles to virtually every area of this vast country. I traveled from coast to coast and border to border. I visited huge cities and small villages. There were only a handful of states that I did not visit during that span of time.
As I traveled the country, it became very obvious to me that not every place shares the same love for and understanding of freedom. I quickly discovered that Thomas Jefferson was right when he said that big cities were the “bane” of freedom. And there are almost no exceptions to the fact that the bigger the city is, the less freedom there is. Furthermore, it is also an accurate observation that those states that are dominated by big cities (which most states are) the more difficult it is for freedom-loving people in those states to be able to actually resist the juggernaut of oppression and socialism.
Chicago is why the people in Illinois are losing their liberties; Baltimore is why the people in Maryland are losing their liberties; Atlanta is why the people in Georgia are losing their liberties; St. Louis and Kansas City are why the people in Missouri are losing their liberties; Dallas and Houston are why the people in Texas are losing their liberties; Los Angeles and San Francisco are why the people of California are losing their liberties; Portland is why the people of Oregon are losing their liberties; Seattle is why the people of Washington State are losing their liberties; Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Orlando are why the people of Florida are losing their liberties; Birmingham is why the people of Alabama are losing their liberties, etc., etc.
In order for freedom to be defended, it will require a State, or group of states, to draw a line in the sand against this assault against our liberties, which, for the most part, is being orchestrated by Washington, D.C., and its allies in the big cities. We deduced that freedom-loving people in any State dominated by one (or a handful) of major metropolitan areas are almost helpless to defend this globalist, socialist juggernaut that is steamrolling the country.
This was a major reason that we selected Montana over Idaho (our second choice). California liberals are leaving the land of fruits and nuts like rats off a sinking ship. The economic conditions in California are driving people to surrounding states in record numbers. And many of them are flocking to the beautiful city of Boise. It’s very possible that Boise will fast become another Portland or Seattle. If this happens, the great freedom-loving State of Idaho will quickly go the way of Oregon and Washington State.
The beauty of Montana is it has no major cities that dominate the State. Missoula (home of the University of Montana) is the most liberal city in the State. The population there is a little over 90,000. Billings is the largest city in the State, and it is largely a Republican area. The population there is just over 100,000. To give readers an idea of Montana geographics: Montana is the fourth largest State in total land area (behind Alaska, Texas, and California), but the total population of the State is UNDER one million. Here’s another statistic to help readers understand what I’m saying: we live just outside the town of Kalispell. The population of Kalispell is around 20,000. And Kalispell is the seventh LARGEST city in the State! Montana’s lack of large metropolitan areas is a huge asset to the defense of liberty, in our opinion.
People
As I traveled those 60,000-plus miles, I met a huge variety of people. And there is no doubt that there are freedom-loving people scattered all over “the fruited plain.” But, that’s the problem: they are SCATTERED. I found some wonderful freedom lovers in South Carolina, New Hampshire, Eastern Tennessee (especially in the Johnson City area), Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Eastern Washington State, Utah, and the Dakotas. That is not to say that there are not thousands of freedom lovers in other states. There most certainly are!
But I also observed that people who are dependent upon the federal government are much more tolerant of the machinations of the federal government. And if you live in an area that has a large population of welfare-dependents or federal government-dependants, you are going to find yourself pretty much alone when you attempt to “rally the troops” against federal usurpation of power. (And, yes, we have some of that problem here in Montana, too.)
But during my extensive travels, I had the opportunity to come speak in Western Montana on several occasions. I spoke in the rural town of Hamilton to a crowd of around 800 enthusiastic patriots. I spoke in Missoula to several hundred. I spoke in Kalispell to a crowd of over 500 on a below-zero weeknight. When I first visited the Kalispell area, a local State legislator put out one email to some friends and supporters telling them I would be speaking to a small gathering outside of town. His email was sent less than 24 hours from the time that I would be speaking. In that short time, with only one email as publicity, there were some 100 people in attendance to hear me speak–including several pastors, businessmen, physicians, and State legislators and senators. I spoke for an hour and we had Q & A for an hour. It was amazing!
I can tell you that I could take out a full-page ad in the newspaper and spend thousands of dollars in advertising a similar event in the town where I had lived in Florida for over 35 years, and if two-dozen people showed up, it would be a miracle. That’s a difference in people!
My family and I believe that there are very traumatic, tumultuous days ahead for our country. We wanted to be with like-minded patriots who truly understand that there is a conspiracy at the highest levels of government, business, and religion to sell America to the forces of evil. We wanted to be around people who wouldn’t give us that “deer-in-the-headlights” stare if we dared to question the official story of 9/11, or act like they’re looking at a Martian when we talk about the sinister military-industrial complex, or the evilness of fighting perpetual foreign wars, or the unconstitutionality of the Patriot Act, or the evilness of sending trillions of dollars to foreign countries, or the ruination of our country via deficit spending, or the wickedness of the Federal Reserve, ad infinitum, ad nauseam. And while Montana has its share of liberals, socialists, and environmentalist wackos, we have found more freedom-minded people (on the whole) in the Flathead Valley of Montana than anywhere else we’ve been.
I’ve been sold out and betrayed by these “good Christians” who are more statists than they are Christians, who love the government more than they love God, and who will assist the PTB in putting principled freedomists in jail–or worse! I want to spend the rest of my life among people who love freedom (and understand what that means) and who are willing to fight and die to protect it! And I believe I’ve found such people in the Flathead Valley of Montana. Come visit Liberty Fellowship here in Kalispell one Sunday, and you will see what I mean!

Mountains and Location
As I said, we were very attracted to Eastern Tennessee, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona. But at the end of the day, we believed these states lack some key ingredients necessary to defending liberty. Arizona and Texas are on the southern border, which presents huge problems all their own. Oklahoma might have the best State legislators in the country right now, but the State is landlocked. The same is true for Missouri. Who around them will come to their assistance against federal encroachment?
As we analyzed the states (well, to be honest, we did not even consider Massachusetts or California. Sorry. Any state that would deny us the right to keep and bear arms was a State that we dismissed out-of-hand), we quickly eliminated all states east of the Mississippi River for geopolitical reasons: too many military installations, or too close to the belly of the beast, or too flat, or too isolated from “friendlies,” or too inhospitable to freedom principles, etc. And it wasn’t long before we felt strongly attracted to the mountain states of America’s great northwest: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Wyoming, and Utah. Colorado was dismissed for the same reason other states were dismissed: one huge metropolitan area dominates the entire State.
During this time, I also did much searching of the scriptures relative to the subject of mountains, and I was very impressed with all the positive things God’s Word has to say about them. There is no question that this search was as much spiritual as it was geopolitical, or anything else! (I’ll let readers do their own research of the scriptures, if they are of a mind to do so.)
Weather
We determined that the cold weather climate of Montana was an asset, not a liability! Why? Because it keeps out undesirables: people who are comfort-oriented and not liberty-oriented! Let the “beautiful people” go to California or Hawaii or Florida. People who live in the mountains live here for reasons other than weather and personal comfort. And when what’s coming actually comes, we will need rugged people who mean business, not people who are looking for a sunroom!
Firearms
As I mentioned above, we refuse to live in any State that does not recognize and respect our right as free men and women to keep and bear arms. I am convinced that, humanly speaking, the only reason there is a modicum of liberty left in these States United is the presence of nearly 100 million firearms held in the private possession of the American people. As such, any State to which we would relocate had to be firearm friendly.
Montana just might be the most gun friendly State in the entire country. Consider: the average home in Montana has 27 firearms in it. 27! Compared to most places, the crime rate in this State is extremely low. And a major reason for the peace and tranquility of this State is the fact that the vast majority of Montanans are armed and prepared to use those arms in their own defense.
Even most Democrats in Montana stand steadfast in the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Example: it was the two Democrat US Senators from Montana that, in essence, killed newly elected President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder’s attempt to resurrect the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. During the US Supreme Court Heller case deliberations, it was a Democrat Montana State administration that wrote a letter to the court and to the Obama administration warning them that when Montana joined the Union in 1889, it did so under the agreement that the federal government recognized the right of individuals to keep and bear arms, and that if now the federal government was refusing to recognize the right of the people to keep and bear arms, the State of Montana would consider its contract with the federal government (i.e., its entrance into the Union) to be null and void!
In addition, open carry is lawful throughout the State of Montana. That’s how deeply the citizens of Montana regard the right to armed self-defense. Plus, Montana is in the middle of a region of states that regard the Second Amendment just as dearly.
When push comes to shove (and it will), to be among people who are willing to fight and die to preserve their right of self-defense was a major factor as our family deliberated relocation.
Conclusion
I don’t think I have to convince many readers that America cannot continue on the same path it’s on forever. There is a day of reckoning coming, and everybody who has half a brain knows it! And another thing, more and more of us are waking up to is the fact that neither major party in Washington, D.C., is going to fix it. At this point, I don’t think it can be fixed in Washington! The only hope for freedom’s survival is stalwart, independent, courageous people defending liberty one State at a time. And we (my family and I) believe that the mountain states are the last best hope for freedom in North America. And now you know a few of the reasons why we chose Montana.
I recommend that you read these two recent news items, as you contemplate your (and our country’s) future:
From the London Guardian:
From James Carville:
I further recommend that readers who are contemplating relocation check out the information provided by Joel Skousen and James Wesley, Rawles. These gentlemen have some tremendous research material available on this subject.
Skousen’s web site:
Rawles’ web site:
Let me hasten to say that I completely understand that not every freedom-minded patriot would feel inclined to relocate to the mountain states, or anywhere else! Nor should they. God is bigger than any one State or region, and He will doubtless lead His children in different ways, to different areas, and to different works. Neither am I suggesting that those of us who relocate to the mountain states are any more spiritual or any more patriotic than those who do not. I do not believe that in any shape, form, or fashion! I am simply sharing with my readers how God led us.
But I will also add that there is no question in my mind that God is bringing a remnant to Montana. I see it up close and personal every day! The gathering of eagles has begun! What it all means is yet to be seen. From the bottom of my heart, I am as excited as a kid in a candy store just to be part of it–all the betrayals and trials associated with this move notwithstanding!

Language and Culture Wars: The Battle over Amnesty
April 21, 2011 by Administrator · 3 Comments
My friend Dr. Diana Hull, living in the midst of California’s cultural, linguistic and population fiasco—talks about the serious consequences of injecting America’s cultural norms with antagonistic foreign paradigms. You may find her work at www.TheSocialContract.com.
“The majority of Americans want border safety, immigration laws enforced, and power to decide how many immigrants to welcome each year,” said Hull. “Immigrant-sending countries, particularly Mexico, still brazenly push their poorest citizen’s north, while encouraging them to maintain their Mexican identity.
“Yet an ongoing and hardly covert U.S. open borders policy was officially blessed in the plan promoted by George Bush, Vicente Fox, and Robert Pastor in late 2001, to convert NAFTA into a North American Union, providing for the free movement of people and trade between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, based on the model of the European Union. After strenuous objections to this idea, President Bush and members of Congress later denied the existence of this plan.
“Nonetheless, the successful planning for NAFTA itself had come four years earlier, after the 1986 amnesty, which was a total failure by any measure. It is a strong possibility that the failure was purposeful and that it was never intended that employer sanctions be enforced. NAFTA was certainly incompatible with any interest in border security and the employer sanctions provision in the 1986 amnesty bill.
“But NAFTA and the proposed North American Union were consistent with President Bush’s support of the 2005 McCain/ Kennedy bill (S. 1033), which encouraged “partnerships to establish a North American security perimeter and improve security south of Mexico,” while providing for no effective border control strategy for the U.S.
“In the meantime, strong opposition to ensuring U.S. border security has been openly pushed for years, going back to at least the early 1980s, and often taking the form of bilateral commissions with the focus solely on the treatment of aliens, never the best interests of American citizens.
A very strong voice in this discussion of immigrant rights has been that of those who promote the widely accepted “stolen lands” theory, which tens of thousands of Chicano Studies educators from K-12 to higher education depend upon to stir up anti-American and open borders sentiment. Rudolph Acuna’s Occupied America has been one of Harper & Row’s best-selling textbooks for years and is one of many texts giving credence to these ideas.
“But Mexico, the country that benefits most from open borders via remittances and being able to export their least educated, unemployed, and most restless young, uses open borders to establish a beachhead of Mexican nationals in the U.S., where they are much more valuable than if they stayed home.
“Mexico’s invasion of the U.S. employs appropriate tactics for a nation much weaker and less stable politically, financially, and militarily than its neighboring adversary.
“By using stealth, faux friendship, and U.S. greed for cheap labor, Mexico is as determined to be an invading force in the effort to overturn, at least figuratively, the intent and purpose of the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, much as Hitler was determined to overturn the territorial provisions of the Versailles Treaty.
“But unlike the situation in Europe in the late 1930s and unlike the situation today, at the time California was Mexican territory, that country’s hold on what was then an undeveloped frontier province was exceedingly “thin”3; there were approximately 20,000 Mexican nationals in all of Texas in 1832 at the time of Sam Houston’s victory for Texas independence at the battle of San Jacinto.
“Yet the “retaking” idea has still taken hold and been taught to young people, making the perfect subtext for open borders, supporting Mexico’s claim to much of the U.S. Southwest. Keeping the border open is plainly just, it is claimed, because all of this territory was once part of Mexico.
And the places that were once Mexico include not only California, Texas, and New Mexico, but also a vast swath north to Washington State.
“So the right of the U.S. to control who enters this country, especially from Mexico, has been under attack for a very long time, helped immeasurably in that virtually all of those involved in higher education have given their blessing to Chicano Studies departments and their Reconquista agenda.
“The stolen land theme is even more widely accepted in Mexico itself. And the situation in many border towns testifies to an already existing de facto merger of the two countries, for which neither armies nor treaties were necessary.
“The stolen lands theory is also why Mexican President Calderon and others before him don’t even try to justify why Mexico has every right to turn back illegal aliens trying to enter Mexico from the south, but America has no such right to have the same kind of policy. In Mexico, Central and South Americans are treated very badly when caught, arrested, and promptly deported.
“The U.S. also ignores that this double standard even exists, although Mexico has exactly the kind of enforcement policy the U.S. needs, but one that we would consider outrageously harsh.
Yet this difference in policy is never discussed when the Mexican government insists on good treatment for its illegal residents in the U.S. Why? Is it really impertinent to bring this up, or do U.S. policy makers also really want the flow of Mexican illegal workers to continue indefinitely?
Since the amnesty of 1986 was a failure, the word amnesty is now out of bounds and considered pejorative, mostly because the opposition to amnesty has such a large and growing constituency. To its proponents, amnesty is “forgiveness,” and they don’t need permission to come back to a place they believe they have every right to reclaim.
“We should focus our attention instead on the truth that supporters of the euphemistic term ‘‘comprehensive reform” actually consider open access to the U.S. their right, and that this substitute language is a route to success, by claiming their agenda has more breadth and depth than simply legalizing all the illegals already here.
“The problem for us is the extent to which Americans have accepted this inoffensive sounding but meaningless phrase, “comprehensive reform.” It is no more of a solution, by sounding more nuanced and sophisticated, than simply asking for an up or down vote on amnesty.
“Rather it is actually a recognition by proponents of legalization that in the present climate asking for another amnesty is a non-starter for sure. And by adding the word comprehensive, there is the slightest hint that other factors like border security could stand some chance of being included.
“But don’t count on it. With “comprehensive reform,” enforcement of our laws will go the route of the 1986 employer sanctions requirement.
“Even supporters of border security, like some on Fox News, seem to accept the deception that “comprehensive reform” has some positive meaning and is a possible solution to the 12 million illegals — the better estimate is 20 to 30 million — or foreign nationals, too many, it is claimed, to insist they go home. Evenfriendly TV commentators like Bill O’Reilly agonize endlessly about the possibility of deportation.
“But even those who want to be open-minded about solutions will point out that many illegals have “American children.” Unfortunately, they need to better understand the Fourteenth Amendment and its history, which is almost never discussed on TV.
“The real problem with the “comprehensive reform” terminology is that it has morphed into a slogan and is now “embedded” language. It certainly sounds like something everyone should want, right? And “comprehensive reform” is so general it could be applied to thousands of issues or existing problems or policies that warrant rethinking. So the term has acquired positive “baggage.”
“No matter what change is being considered, it should be thorough, not inadequate, nor slipshod, right? That means “comprehensive.” And any “reform” should by definition make things better, right? But better for whom?
“The actual meanings of these two words “comprehensive “ and “reform” are both too general and too vague. They are bland in the extreme and so unprovocative they can’t offend anyone. The question is whether this artful two-word phrase is an accurate description of what is actually planned.
“Unfortunately, this seemingly positive yet amorphous goal has now morphed into a topic-specific, stand-alone, positive meaning that is widely accepted.
“Comprehensive reform, whatever its literal meaning, will absolutely move us in the wrong direction if passed. It actually means making legal residents of the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens now present in the U.S.
“So instead let’s have a clear goal, reject a purported solution absent of substance, and insist on an up or down vote on awarding or not awarding amnesty to illegal aliens. At least we will have a clear idea of what we are supporting or rejecting.
“That kind of clarity will lead to recalling the failure of our previous attempt to solve the illegal alien problem by this means and remind voters in how many ways the 1986 bill made the problem much worse.
“Notice that only opponents of amnesty use the word amnesty now. Proponents have abandoned that language completely. This is because “forgiveness” for what Americans label wrongdoing is not what is sought by our opponents. Amnesty also smacks of a favor that can be granted or withheld by a dominant other, and since non-Hispanics may be a vanishing majority, it’s open season on us.
“You see, Americans don’t have a choice about “comprehensive reform” anymore, its supporters imply, because we will soon be a voiceless minority, no matter the arguments on our side or the equities.
“But there are other misunderstood deceptions, contradictions, and agendas in play. Most of Mexico’s leadership has taken this same position and has encouraged and done everything in their power to made this “retaking” a fact.
“They see letting illegal aliens stay forever, no matter how they came or whether we even know who they really are, as only right since Hispanics are so close to being the dominant force in America. So now’s the time to go for amnesty, by any name, and cinch the deal quickly before the next election.
“We have known for years that this idea, that they, not we, are in America to stay, is taught in the schools. But it’s an idea that can be enunciated in more aggressive language in street demonstrations, where Hispanic ownership of America is trumpeted and brazenly communicated via inflammatory signs, like “gringos go home.”
“But is it possible that Americans are finally waking up from their longtime passivity on this issue? Have we reason to finally cheer that the passive acceptance of illegality we always hoped wasn’t bred in the bones could actually be seriously challenged by Americans?
“And if this is so, to what can we attribute new public recognition of immigration reality? Are Americans catching on that neither amnesty nor the meaningless phrase “comprehensive reform” does anything practical or positive for most Americans, and that nothing would make this latest push for legalizing illegals a change that would benefit anyone except illegals themselves and those that employ them?
“These facts have been obvious to opponents of amnesty for the last two decades, but how come most Americans are just catching on and putting up a struggle now that could actually be a game changer?
“Being overly righteous about obligations to those perceived to be downtrodden springs from excesses of feel-goodism for its own sake and flourishes best in the presence of satiety and guilt over abundance. But life is not as good as it was. Fear is in the air, personal and government indebtedness scary, murders and stabbings and robberies more threatening, gangs and graffiti a more common sight, and children now cannot walk to school unattended. In short, the American sense of safety at home and in the community seems gone or increasingly uncertain. So we are finally daring to ask, is welcoming the world worth the price Americans are paying for compassion? And is that price now too high?”

Student loans and “for-profit colleges: “They’re worse than you think”
April 15, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Student loans are a big business. In fact, student debt now exceeds $895 billion which is more than the total Americans owe on their credit cards. And, most of these loans are underwritten by the US government, which means that the taxpayer is on the hook when students can’t repay the debt. This is a big problem, because many of the people taking out loans are not really qualified for college, so they end up dropping out of school and defaulting on their loans putting themselves in long-term debt while passing the bill along to Uncle Sam. But not everyone loses on the deal. In fact, the institutions that help unqualified applicants get loans, do quite well. After all, they’re paid in full by the government. If this sounds like it might be a scam; it’s because it is. All the recruiters need to do is find a credulous subject, bamboozle him into signing on the dotted line, and hold his hand for the first few weeks of the new semester. That’s all it takes to net a big government payout. Here’s a rundown of how it works from an article by Chris Kirkham at the Huffington Post:
“The goal, employees say, is getting “starts”: students who fill out the paperwork for student loans and make it through at least four weeks of their first five-week course. That is the point at which the university is able to keep the student’s federal aid money, regardless of whether they continue their studies. After that, according to the Ashford employees, any form of counseling drastically drops off.
“There were numerous times when I enrolled students and thought, ‘All I’ve got to do is babysit them for four weeks,’” said a former leader in the admissions department, who spoke on the condition that he not be identified because he is still employed at another for-profit university. “I’d be thinking, ‘Come on, this person is clearly not ready to go to school.’ But I’d call you, pump you up, keep you confident for four weeks, and once I knew you completed, you were forgotten. It’s easy when I’m counting the money.” …
According to the Ashford employees, the pressure drives recruiters to enroll students who they know have little chance of success: people who openly say they have no regular access to a computer or the Internet, despite the exclusively online course offerings, and even those who acknowledge they have difficulty reading.
Bridgepoint has among the highest withdrawal rates of any publicly traded school in the industry, according to a Senate report last year. Based on a pool of students examined between 2008 and 2009, more than 80 percent of those in an associate’s degree program had exited within two years of enrollment, and nearly 65 percent of bachelor’s degree students had left the company’s schools in the same timeframe.
Last year, Bridgepoint posted its best year ever: netting income of more than $127 million, almost triple the year before. The company spends about 37 percent of operating costs related to education; the rest goes to marketing, corporate compensation and overhead.” (“Buying Legitimacy: How A Group Of California Executives Built An Online College Empire”, Chris Kirkham, Huffington Post)
Nice, eh? Just sign them up, dupe them into believing you care about their future, and then fleece ‘em til they bleed. Cha-ching; in rolls the money from Uncle Sugar. But aren’t we blaming the wrong people? Shouldn’t the young people who took out the loans be responsible for their own actions? After all, no one put a gun to their head and forced them to sign, right?
It’s a persuasive argument–and one that’s been used many times by industry lobbyists and their lackeys in congress–but it’s easy to disprove once we take a look at the victims in this swindle.
So, who are the victims? Well, as it turns out, quite a few of them are hard-luck cases and ex-military personnel who were hoodwinked by smooth-talking recruiters into signing their lives away. For example, here’s a clip from an article that appeared in Bloomberg in 2010:
“Benson Rollins wants a college degree. The unemployed high school dropout who attends Alcoholics Anonymous and has been homeless for 10 months is being courted by the University of Phoenix. Two of its recruiters got themselves invited to a Cleveland shelter last October and pitched the advantages of going to the country’s largest for-profit college to 70 destitute men.
Their visit spurred the 23-year-old Rollins to fill out an online form expressing interest. Phoenix salespeople then barraged him with phone calls and e-mails, urging a tour of its Cleveland campus. “If higher education is important to you for professional growth, and to achieve your academic goals, why wait any longer? Classes start soon and space is limited,” one Phoenix employee e-mailed him on April 15. “I’ll be happy to walk you through the entire application process.”
Rollins’s experience is increasingly common. The boom in for-profit education, driven by a political consensus that all Americans need more than a high school diploma, has intensified efforts to recruit the homeless, Bloomberg Businessweek magazine reports in its May 3 issue. Such disadvantaged students are desirable because they qualify for federal grants and loans, which are largely responsible for the prosperity of for-profit colleges….
Other schools see nothing wrong with reaching out to the disadvantaged. “We don’t exclusively target the homeless,” says Ziad Fadel, chief executive of Drake, which also sends recruiters to welfare and employment agencies…
While many caseworkers for the homeless are gratified by the attention, some see only exploitation. The companies “are preying upon people who are already vulnerable and can’t make it through a university,” says Sara Cohen, a case manager at Shelter Now in Meriden, Conn. “It’s evil.” (“Homeless High School Dropouts Lured by For-Profit Colleges”, Bloomberg)
So, is this a legitimate business that’s adding educated people to the workforce or just a scam that targets vulnerable young people in order to bilk the government out of billions of dollars?
Keep in mind, the Bloomberg story is not exceptional at all; there are loads of similar stories on the Internet. Here’s an excerpt from an article by Peter Fenn who fills in some of the important details:
“In just a few years, however, enrollment (in for-profit colleges) went from 365,000 to 1.8 million students. Marketing madness resembled March Madness for these schools, and many more new ones were established. Slick TV ads and thousands of marketers were hired. Returning vets were targeted, even at hospitals.
The key: Bring in millions from Pell grants and student loans. Taxpayer money.
By 2009, these for-profit schools were raking it in—$4 billion in Pell grants and $20 billion in student loans provided by the Department of Education. Over 80 percent of the revenue for the for-profits came from federal loans and grants.
In many cases, these were shell games. No campuses, few classrooms, and little interaction with teachers, but make no mistake about it, they were not cheap. Students were told they could get loans and grants and just send in the checks.
So, how was all this working? Graduation rates for private colleges are about 65 percent, for state schools about 55 percent, and for the for-profit colleges? Twenty-two percent.
Houston, we have a problem.” (“Congress Should Put a Stop to For-Profit College Rip Offs”, Peter Fenn, US News)
Huh? So, for-profit colleges are netting $24 billion from the government and only graduating 22% of their students? It’s mindbogglingly. Fenn continues:
“The top executives for the top 15 for-profit colleges pulled in $2 billion last year. Two billion dollars, practically all taxpayer money.
And that student loan money?—the default rate at these for-profits is 43 percent!
So, only 22 percent graduate and 43 percent default on the loans, leaving us holding the bag because students have been sold a bill of goods by slick marketers.” (“Congress Should Put a Stop to For-Profit College Rip Offs”, Peter Fenn, US News)
Can you believe it: “43 percent default on their loans”? That’s got to be some kind of record. Good grief, at the peak of the subprime fiasco the loans were only blowing up at a 6 percent rate. This is 7-times bigger than subprime. And we’re not talking chump-change either. There’s hundreds of billions involved in this Ponzi-scam. And on top of that, the Fed has been using the distorted numbers from this flimflam to show that a credit expansion is underway. Here’s what they said in the recently released Credit Report: :
“The new U.S. consumer credit numbers reflect an economy that is reaccelerating, and that is very bullish for growth — as well as inflation. All in all, U.S. household credit surged by $7.62 billion in February, ramping up faster than at any other time since June 2008.” (Hat tip to The Big Picture)
What a joke. The taxpayer is getting reamed and the Fed is boasting about a “recovery”. Go figure? The only area of credit that’s budging at all (apart from subprime auto loans) is student loans, which are experiencing a veritable goldrush as every scoundrel, scalawag and miscreant flocks to get a piece of the action. These chiselers know that these kids will never be able to repay their loans. In fact, they make more money when they’re delinquent. They just jack up the interest rate and grab what they can before crying “Default” and gouge the government for the balance of the loan. What a swindle.
The GOP-led congress is up to their eyeballs in this crookery. They’ve been using every trick in the book to protect their fatcat buddies by blocking the implementation of regulations that would prevent gullible students from being plucked-clean by cheesebag recruiters. The Republicans would rather defend the “inalienable right” of shifty recruiters to rip off students then save the taxpayer hundreds of billions of dollars.

Environment Can’t Sustain Human Overpopulation
March 31, 2011 by Administrator · 1 Comment
Every time I turn around, somebody in the corporate world admonishes more growth. Whether it’s a big city, small city or overloaded cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Houston or Los Angeles—national leaders trumpet the advantages of growth.
However, cooler and more intelligent minds stand up and speak out like Dave Gorak, La Valle, executive director, Midwest Coalition to Reduce Immigration. www.midwestcoalitiontoreduceimmigration.org
“…in this country, it’s phony to say, ‘I’m for the environment but not for limiting immigration.’ It’s just a fact that we can’t take all the people who want to come here. And you don’t have to be a racist to realize that.” Senator Gaylord Nelson, Founder of Earth Day
In March 1972, the Rockefeller Commission on Population Growth and the American Future concluded that “no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the nation’s population.”
“Thirty-nine years later, well-intentioned but naive Americans calling themselves “environmentalists” are about to engage in the annual charade called Earth Day, during which we all will be encouraged to “think green,” said Gorak.
“The media will editorialize on this 41st Earth Day, a creation of the late Sen. Gaylord Nelson when our population stood at 203 million people. School children will be photographed sprucing up their environs. Thousands of words will be written about recycling, proper disposal of old paint cans and household chemicals, and reducing our “carbon footprints.”
“But nary a word will be written about the need to stabilize our population growth if we are to have any hope of avoiding a depletion of our natural resources and reversing an already declining standard of living. Quality of life issues like open spaces will continue to be ignored while false prophets of “smart growth” continue to peddle their brand of pure baloney to planners at every level of government.
“On April 1, 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau said our population was 308,745,538 people or more than 100 million people since that first Earth Day. At this writing, our population is closing in on the 312 million mark, or another 3 million-plus people, nearly 80 percent of them the result of our foolish and totally unnecessary immigration policy that since 1990 has permitted 1 million people to enter this country legally every year coupled with another 500,000 illegal aliens.
“At our present rate of growth, the census projects there will be another 100 million of us by 2060 and nearly 600 million people by 2100, but nobody in the federal government, which the aiders and abettors of illegal aliens keep reminding us has sole responsibility for our immigration policy, seems to appreciate what lies ahead for this republic.
“As you all “do your part” on Earth Day 2011, keep in mind what Gaylord Nelson told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel in April 2001: “…in this country, it’s phony to say, ‘I’m for the environment but not for limiting immigration.’ It’s just a fact that we can’t take all the people who want to come here.'”
“In his 1993 book “Around the Cragged Hill,” historian and diplomat George F. Kennan noted that “the inability of any society to resist immigration, the inability to find other solutions to the problem of employment at the lower, more physical, and menial levels of the economic process, is a serious weakness, and possibly even a fatal one, in any national society. The fully healthy society would find ways to meet those needs out of its own resources.”
“Kennan went on to say that at unless we wise up about immigration, this nation will end up looking like the Third World from which most immigrants are coming.
“Perhaps “Forrest Gump” should get the last word here: “Stupid is as stupid does.””
Dave Gorak, La Valle, executive director, Midwest Coalition to Reduce Immigration, www.midwestcoalitiontoreduceimmigration.org.
As Thomas Jefferson once said, “We have the wolf by the ears and we can neither hold him or let him go.” I suggest we take destiny into our hands by taking action in the logical direction by moving our civilization toward a stable population.

Growing Illiteracy In America: Creating Entrenched Poverty
March 27, 2011 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
Let us consider the one word that defines poverty and human misery around the world: illiteracy! It creates destitution, loss of human dignity, starvation and chaos throughout any civilization. Examples: Haiti, Somalia, Mexico, Detroit-Michigan, Bangladesh, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan and dozens of other countries.
Because of illiteracy, today, in excess of 1.5 billion human beings cannot procure a clean glass of drinking water when they wake up. In the neighborhood of 2.0 to 3.0 billion human beings will not enjoy a toilet or shower today. This year, 18 million human beings will starve to death.
Why? Answer: illiteracy!
Each day in India, 1,000 children under the age of 12, die of diarrhea, dysentery and other water borne diseases. No toilets, no clean water, no sanitation! Again: illiteracy! (Source: www.populationmedia.org)
In the United States today, according to CBS anchor Katie Couric, 13.4 million American children live below the poverty line. Millions of these children suffer malnutrition and hunger as a daily reality. Why? Illiteracy of their parents! Even our social services, welfare, food stamps and free lunch programs cannot keep up with the sheer magnitude of America’s new poor class. Another 43 million Americans subsist on food stamps because they lack the educational skills to secure a job. (Source: Reuters News Services)
Disturbing fact: 42 million Americans suffer functional illiteracy according to the National Right to Read Foundation. They cannot read, write or perform simple math. Another 50 million Americans cannot read past the 4th grade level.
Illiteracy Statistics
- 42 million American adults can’t read at all; 50 million are unable to read at a higher level that is expected of a fourth or fifth grader.
- The number of adults that are classified as functionally illiterate increases by about 2.25 million each year.
- 20 percent of high school seniors can be classified as being functionally illiterate at the time they graduate.
Source: National Right to Read Foundation
Where Illiteracy Leads
- 70 percent of prisoners in state and federal systems can be classified as illiterate. [2.3 million Americans languish in jails]
- 85 percent of all juvenile offenders rate as functionally or marginally illiterate.
- 43 percent of those whose literacy skills are lowest live in poverty.
7,000 teens drop out of American high schools every day; one every 26 seconds
NBC anchor Brian Williams reported that 1.2 million teens hit America’s streets every June unable to read or write. Detroit, Michigan epitomizes this country’s educational dilemma: 76 percent dropout/flunkout rate. Dozens of cities across the country suffer 50 to 60 percent dropout rates.
CNN reported on August 30, 2010, “7,000 American high school students drop out every day; one every 26 seconds.”
ILLITERACY DEFINES THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES: ENTRENCHED AND INTRACTABLE
What causes illiteracy in third world countries? Answer: culture, religion and diminished intellectual capacity! In other words, citizens of Somalia live pretty much in the Stone Age as to their existence as hunter-gatherers. They remain at the mercy of their environment and conditions.
What happens when a first world civilization imports millions of people from third world countries where illiteracy maintains a strangle-hold on human beings? Answer: that first world country methodically dismantles its ability to educate, enlighten and lift such persons out of their cultural and intellectual deficits.
Today, the United States adds 3.1 million human beings from the most poverty-stricken areas of the world. They rush into America so fast; we cannot educate them quickly enough to bring them into the mainstream. How many? We import 225,000 to 250,000 every 30 days. They birth 900,000 babies annually. Migrants crossing without papers add another 800,000 annually. Total: 3.1 million! (Source:www.cis.org, Washington DC, Dr. Steven Camarata, additionally, www.TheSocialContract.com)
Today, American taxpayers shell out $346 billion annually across 15 federal agencies for illegal and legal immigrants. Year in and year out! (Source: Edwin Rubenstein report www.TheSocialContract.com)
The question anyone might ask: what will happen to the American taxpayer within the next 24 years when the projected addition of 72 million more third world immigrants manifest within America?
Answer: intractable, entrenched and ruthless poverty on levels that cannot be educated, uplifted, fed, watered, housed or sustained.
Can anyone tell me I’m off base, wrong or erroneous in my calculations? Am I wrong in my research that I stated with the sources given? Do you not see it in your own cities? I mean, dear reader, we already see illiteracy swamping Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Denver, Cleveland, Kansas City and San Francisco.
As our educational systems implode, our own citizens become useless to themselves and our civilization as to becoming useful members. As we degrade academic standards to make everyone else feel good, we diminish our country and deliver it into the hands of poverty, illiteracy and hopelessness now seen in one-third of the human race around the planet.
I don’t know about you, but our kids will find themselves paying for this human-illiterate-overload beyond their capacity to feed, house and educate their own families. It will get too big, to expensive and too unyielding. It already is!
How can we save ourselves, our children, our communities and our civilization from the ravages of illiteracy?
- Suspend all immigration into this country for 10 years.
- Or, immediately reduce all immigration to less than 100,000 annually.
- Make sure all immigrants pass educational tests and English. comprehension before being admitted to the USA.
- Engage E-Verify as a mandate for all employers across America.
- Disengage from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya for savings of $15 billion a month to be applied to our educational systems.
- Stop “Free Trade” and bring back “Fair Trade” to bring manufacturing and other jobs back to America to employ our parents.
- Teach sex education and introduce birth control information into our inner cities and most distressed minority areas to help teen girls to make better choices. Why? Today, according to a recent report by Dottie Lamm in the Denver Post, 68 percent of African-American teens are single mothers. All of them draw on welfare that costs you billions of dollars annually for Aid to Dependent Children.
- Stop all birthright citizenship that continues at 400,000 dependent children annually.
What are the alternatives if we fail to act? America will degrade into the same conditions that I have witnessed around the world on my bicycle travels. It can only worsen if we fail to do something for future generations.

Resonant Atomic Transmutation of Metals…
The following communication was sent to the US Department of Energy (DOE) in Washington DC on December 21, 2010:
In 1987, I witnessed a phenomenon and devoted my life to refining the process. Low Energy Nuclear Change (LENC) is the term used for the occurrence of this phenomenon. In LENC, copper is subjected to a phonon resonance technology developed by me in 2001. The importance of any technology or discovery is repeatability and scalability.
I have achieved both in this process, and have successfully converted copper to gold and platinum. The original theory was the single conversion of copper to gold. The formation of platinum was not predicted but was an unexpected occurrence.
100 pounds of copper was placed in a single phonon resonance device and produced 800 troy ounces of gold and platinum. Several ounces of gold and platinum have been refined and tested by independent facilities. This is the world’s largest demonstration of a low energy nuclear event. This was accomplished using standard household electrical power within 30 days.
I have produced over two kilos of platinum and gold in less than a week from my simple reaction. This material has been tested by third party laboratories. [The results of an independent Assay Report by Ray Grimmer Lab Services are republished below:]

I am not a physicist, and therefore cannot fully explain this phenomenon, but I can report the results. It is totally repeatable on a macro scale. I have no idea why I have so much platinum. I was predicting gold, but I have an equal amount of gold and platinum…
In 1994, Thomas Ward of the DOE visited me in Houston for a few days. At that point in time, I had only been able to achieve results in micro quantities. I have now finally achieved low energy reactions on a macro scale. A most interesting fact is that location of the reaction seems to be important and can be determined by a world wide geographic anomaly map.
For years I have wanted to keep this in the USA and only within the last three months have I witnessed pounds of gold and platinum production in my current area.

The resonant atomic transmutation processes developed by Dr. Champion confirm the specific information provided to ‘Billy’ Eduard Meier concerning the advanced metals conversion processes employed by his extraterrestrial contacts from the Plejares star system (who also provide fascinating information concerning specific cosmic events connected with the Mayan calendar end date of December 22, 2012). The following excerpt from Lightwater (2010), by Alexander Putney, elucidates the complex details of the complete conversion process:
Well-known examples of resonant metal alloys formulated by Sanskrit-based Buddhist traditions in Asia include Tibetan singing bowls, comprised of 3 metals, and finer Bhutanese singing bowls rendered from 7 metals or more, known for highly resonant characteristics. While the singing bowls of Asia are comprised of a layered composite of various metals formed by hammering, the much more advanced resonant alloy production processes of Plejaren metallurgists involve the co-mingling of atoms in a composition unique to space-faring plasma ships, unlike any produced on Earth in modern times. Billy accepted several resonant metal samples as gifts from Asket, the products of her civilization, the Timars, who use similar advanced techniques of frequency resonance applied by the Plejaren, and indeed all cosmic travelers.

The resonant metal alloys of transdimensional plasma ships are developed using precision multi-stage temperature and frequency programs that convert base metals into alloys (above) containing all of the precious metals, rare earth elements and trace amounts of every other element on the periodic table – many in crystallized or metallic states not yet conceived of by Earthly scientists. Polarization of the final products is achieved by the micro-layering of perpendicular grain patterns formed within the crystals.
Semjase provided Meier with Plejaren beamship (mp3) metal alloy samples of a 7-stage metal conversion process from lead into a copper-nickel-silver-gold alloy, also containing traces of every stable element in a smooth curve from the heaviest elements through the lightest gases. Many aspects of this complex process were discussed during the 45th contact on February 25, 1976, in response to Meier’s direct request – “Quite simply, we would like to know what sort of metal you use for your beamships?”:
Semjase: This I can explain for you: We gain it from a process of conversion from lead. We extract this soft metal from many things, as for example lead-containing atmospheres from stars, from waters, from different plants, etc., as well as from the decay of different ore-stones of stars in destruction. By an, according to Earth understanding, very difficult process, we convert the lead substances we assembled into the soft metal lead, which we then change by further mechanical-chemical processes into a hard-metal form, which is much harder than your metal which you call steel. This still is unserviceable in this form for beamships, because it must be polarized by further processes of conversion into a beamship-suited alloy of a special sort and character, about which I am not allowed to give details. The final product, which must have quite certain characteristics, consists of a copper-nickel-silver alloy, which for certain of the beamships also contains gold.
Meier: Oh yes, thus an alloy which could be produced on Earth. You mentioned a lot of manners before, in ways in which you gain the lead. Here it has struck me that you have mentioned no word of an ore mining of Earth kind. Is this sort of obtaining ores not usual with you?
Semjase: Ore-mining or other mineral mining on a planet or another star is done by us only in extreme emergency, because this process is equal to the destruction of the star. A planet or another star is never exploited in the form as is done on Earth. What the Earth human being does by that is equal to the destruction of the planet. The first evil effects of this destruction came up on the Earth already some decades ago, and at the present time it is already experiencing the pains of the destruction itself. This is to understand the way that the Earth human being exploits his planet, and robs from it its fundamental life force when de deprives it of its oil, gas and the different ores. The effect of this is that the Earth suffers shifts inside, leading to volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, because the Earth is slowly breaking down into itself. The same event is generated also by the construction of dams and similar formations, which cause, by the assembled masses of water, very dangerous shifts. The worst delusion the Earth human being is performing is his subterranean and below-surface experiments with atomic bombs, as well as those cruel deep subterranean explosion tests, which he declares are atomic bomb tests, but which in truth are much more dangerous.

The spiritual ethics of the Plejaren culture reflect a comprehensive understanding of planetary systems. All 7 stages of beamship metal production were related on the following day, during Meier’s 46th contact, with an astounding explanation of the atomic transmutation of metals by controlled frequency resonance:
Semjase: Here I also have brought you some metal, of three different working steps… The first working step absorbs the lead substances from the atmosphere and condenses them into pure lead. The second process distracts from the resultant metal all dangerous radiations. Then the lead is fed into heat-converters, which, without the addition of any other metals, converts the lead by several processes into the alloy.
(Ed.- The metal specimens finally delivered to Meier, which they and we had analyzed, consisted of three of the seven states the metal goes through in production and refinement. We had samples of states 3, 4, and 5. The sample of state 3 was mostly lead, with impurities. State 4 was nearly equal parts of silver, copper and lead. State 5 contained silver, copper, nickel, gold, magnesium and other trace elements. We lost our specimens in the hands of testing laboratories before we had finished our analysis. We found traces of stable rhenium and thulium in our specimen tested by Marcel Vogel in his laboratory in San Jose, California. Since our testing in 1979, scientists have found that the addition of rare earth elements like rhenium and thulium produce astounding properties in otherwise basic metals, such as superconductivity, superhardness and supermagnetism, etc.)

Meier: You mean that the lead becomes liquefied first, and in this step suffers the conversion?
Semjase: Surely. There do all right exist direct possibilities for the alternation of stuff, but these possibilities are not given for us. But our scientists have already well achieved successes in experiment. For the present, however, we still convert the metals the old-fashioned way in heat-converters, and as said, this happens in seven different runs. The metal becomes liquified, like with you, in furnaces, to suffer then by distinct oscillations, an alternation, but just to a certain value, because of the different steps in working that are necessary. Each final product is then pushed by pressure through a cooling spiral, where then are generated the small figures, as you have then here before you. This process is repeated some times, while with each new process the value of the different metals increases and becomes the targeted alloy. The sixth working process then affects the complete alloy. The cooling spiral contains usual water, which we obtain especially for this process in a condensational manner…
Meier: Thank you. Still it is not evident to me how you then will work the metal, as neither at your beamship, not Ptaah’s huge ['Great-Spacer'] box, could I recognize joints or seams, etc. And nothing is riveted as well.
Semjase: For this purpose we use an instrument which you would call a welding apparatus. But it is based on oscillation techniques, which liquifies the metal in a cold state and lets it flow together, by which it is completely without seam and forms one single piece. So we also do not know grinding operations, as you do when you have to do welding work, and then have to grind away the seams to smooth it all. In this respect, you on Earth use a very dangerous operation.
While Earthly science achieved the liquification of metals using high-intensity ultrasound decades ago, Semjase informs us that for thousands of years Plejaren metallurgists have been producing beamship alloys by subjecting molten metals to “distinct [atomic] oscillations of a certain value.” What are these particular resonant frequencies that induce the alchemical transmutation of one element into another? The atomic physicists among Earth’s scientists have been making great strides in their understanding of low-energy nuclear transmutation – the most outspoken among them being Dr. Joseph Champion of the Phonon Resonance Institute in St. George, Utah. Dr. Champion’s work elucidates the atomic principles enabling several successful methods of atomic transmutation involving the production of precious metals:
Dimensional phonon resonance occurs when the space occupied by one isotope is exactly the same as that of another isotope in its rest state [i.e. 25°C]. This event can only occur under the following two conditions: the ex-pansion of an isotope by heating, or the contraction of an isotope by cooling. Due to the natural characteristics of elemental properties, this event is extremely rare and one can only force the event under select conditions. To determine the phonon resonance of an isotope, it is necessary to apply the following formula:
In the formation of Au (or other elements) from a dimensional reaction, the conversion will occur without excess energies or nuclear signatures by heating Ag to a temperature of 43.2°C. To achieve maximum conversion of Ag to Au will depend on the dwell time at resonance temperature. To date, visible conversion of Ag to Au has taken as little as six hours, with 2% conversion taking up to 24 hours. The reaction is safe… [with] no toxicity

Dr. Champion’s phonon resonance formula provides the resonant frequency of gold (Au) in its rest state as 38,931,841 Hz and the 107Ag isotope of silver as 38,962,532 Hz (above). The relative proximity of the resonant frequencies of these two precious metals allows a low-energy atomic transmutation from 107Ag to Au to occur near room temperature. However, silver isotope 109Ag comprises 48.8% of all available silver bouillon and, unlike it’s sister isotope 107Ag, is not so easily converted to Au.
The conversion of 109Ag into gold requires a more complex process using megahertz frequencies in conjunction with precision heating techniques. By the same means aluminum can be converted into silver when oscillating at a resonance of 38,950,565 Hz (at 276°C) and will also convert into gold when dwelling at a resonance of 39,932,068 Hz (at 295°C). After just a few days of dwell-time at resonance, atoms of the starting element have become informed with the resonant frequency of the target element in its rest state. The metal is then melted and rapidly cooled in distilled water to achieve the maximum conversion rate, just as in the procedures described by Semjase in 1976. The respective electron configurations of aluminum, silver, platinum and gold reveal the restructuring of electron orbital shells during transmutation:

The addition of subatomic particles into atoms vibrating at resonance is facilitated by standing waves that act as pathways for the reconfiguration of electrons, protons and neutrons into a more densely packed arrangement. Just as acoustic standing waves can power wireless devices by transmitting electrical currents across otherwise nonconductive airspaces, standing microwave resonances induced within atoms allow subatomic particles to jump across otherwise impassable gaps in the atomic framework. Direct observation of this resonant phenomenon of atomic transmutation will be made possible by the quantum stroboscope, which has already provided the first direct imaging of standing waves that comprise the structure of a single electron. A source metal like aluminum can thus be transmuted into silver and then gold as successive electron shells become filled, adding atomic weight in the process and significantly increasing the yield weight of the conversion with each stage of the complex process.
Dr. Champion has identified a new class of intriguing natural metabolic processes where atomic transmutation occurs as fungi ingest silver, thereby undergoing a pleomorphic change. Dry, active yeast is a cheap and readily available bread-making product that requires only warmth and water to thrive and reproduce in vast numbers. Common yeast species like Saccharomyces cerevisiae produce the silver-binding protein SSB-1 that enables the attachment of active yeast cells to available silver surfaces. Ingestion of silver atoms by the round 2-3 nm microbes causes their mutation into rod-shaped mutant microbes about 1-2 nm in length (below). The budding yeast cells act as electron donors inducing the resonant transmutation of silver into gold, as 32 electrons, 32 protons and 57 neutrons are accepted by 107Ag silver atoms vibrating at a 38,931,841 Hz resonance with gold. This newly recognized metabolic process leaves nanoclusters of gold deposited on exposed silver binding sites, as further transmutation takes place within the bodies of the microbes whereby ingested silver is converted into gold nanorods.

The rediscovery of biological transmutation in yeast species restores ancient metallurgical knowledge and informs a scientific reinterpretation of enigmatic passages from the Bible. Biblical accounts of the divine presence often refer to a sacred substance called manna, which was used in making holy items such as the ‘bread of life’ (or showbread) and the ‘living water’. However, this holy bread was not simply produced by a common baker. Instead, Moses commanded the goldsmith Bezaleel to prepare manna for the ‘Bread of the Presence of God’ – apparently using yeast to convert silver nanopowder into gold. Many unmistakable references preserved in the Book of Exodus confirm the biological process of atomic transmutation was used in the enrichment of food and water for the elevation of human consciousness. Advanced material and spiritual knowledge possessed by Moses is revealed in his demonstration that the presence of God is not conferred by gold idols, but by gold nanoparticles in sacred bread and water:
When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned… He burnt the golden calf – melted it down, and then filed it to dust; and that the powder to which it was reduced might be taken notice of throughout the camp, he strewn it upon the water which they all drank of. He did this that it might appear that an idol is nothing in the world, he reduced this to atoms, that it might be as near nothing as could be. (32:19-20)

Philadelphia museum removes mummies after China objects

The mummies are particularly fascinating because they have Caucasian features, proving that populations migrated eastward from Europe and brought their customs and skills with them.

A museum just days away from opening a long-awaited exhibit of mummies and other historical artifacts from China is gutting the display at the request of Chinese officials, the museum announced Wednesday.
The artifacts were part of “Secrets of the Silk Road,” which is scheduled to open Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Philadelphia. The exhibit has already traveled to museums in California and Texas without issue.
Penn museum spokeswoman Pam Kosty said she could not offer any more information beyond a statement saying Chinese officials had requested the items not be shown. She declined to identify the officials.
Attempts to reach the Chinese consulate for comment were unsuccessful because of the Chinese New Year holiday.
The exhibit’s main attraction is a nearly 4,000-year-old, pristinely preserved mummy from far western China, whose flaxen hair and eyelashes are still intact. A well-preserved mummy of a baby, along with vibrantly colored burial trappings of a third mummy, were among more than 100 ancient objects featured.

The artifacts come from the Tarim Basin in the autonomous Xinjiang Uyghur region of China. Victor Mair, a Penn professor of Chinese language and literature, has been researching and leading expeditions in the area for more than 20 years and helped develop the exhibit.
On Wednesday, Mair said in an e-mail that he could not discuss the dispute but that he hoped to continue negotiating with the Chinese after the New Year holiday.
In a Jan. 21 interview with The Associated Press, Mair said “Secrets of the Silk Road” had been years in the making because China jealously guards its antiquities.
Mair was especially excited to display them at the Penn museum, a regional attraction that is a hub for research but struggles to attract visitors. It was to be the exhibit’s only East Coast stop.
“It’s going to be the rebirth of this museum,” Mair said last month. “It’s going to put it back on the map.”
As he spoke, various museum officials interrupted to report that the artifacts had arrived. Mair noted that the exhibit’s Chinese chaperones would be sightseeing in the area, including trips to New York and Atlantic City, N.J.
The mummies are particularly fascinating because they have Caucasian features, proving that populations migrated eastward from Europe and brought their customs and skills with them.
Other artifacts include clothing, fabrics, wooden and bone implements, and even preserved foods such as an early wonton, spring roll and fried dough.
There were no problems for “Secrets of the Silk Road” in the four months it spent at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where it attracted huge crowds, museum spokeswoman Latha Thomas said Wednesday.
A call to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, Calif., where the exhibit was displayed early last year, was not immediately returned.
Kosty, the Penn museum spokeswoman, said previously that the exhibit was expected to be a blockbuster for the institution, its first with timed-ticket entry. Now, several thousand tickets that were pre-sold will be refunded, she said.
Instead, the museum plans to put on a pared-down display using photos of the mummies and artifacts, along with multimedia exhibits and interactive stations, Kosty said. It will be free with regular museum admission.
