Socialism, Communism and Cultural Marxism: Spiritual Diseases of Our Time

“In 1919, Georg Lukacs became Deputy Commissar for Culture in the short-lived Bolshevik Bela Kun regime in Hungary. He immediately set plans in motion to de-Christianize Hungary. Reasoning that if Christian sexual ethics could be undermined among children, then both the hated (traditional) family and the Church would be dealt a crippling blow, Lukacs launched a radical sex education program in the schools. Sex lectures were organized and literature handed out which graphically instructed youth in free love (promiscuity) and sexual intercourse while simultaneously encouraging them to deride and reject Christian moral ethics, monogamy, and parental and church authority. All of this was accompanied by a reign of cultural terror perpetrated against parents, priests, and dissenters.”    “Hungary’s youth, having been fed a steady diet of values-neutral (atheism) and radical sex education while simultaneously encouraged to rebel against all authority, easily turned into delinquents ranging from bullies and petty thieves to sex predators, murderers, and sociopaths.”  (Cultural Marxism, L. Kimball)

Today the words Marxist, communist, and fascist have devolved into essentially meaningless, emotionalized epitaphs brandished by people whose understanding of their true meaning is so lacking as to be on a par with “I hate you!” and “you miserable scum bag!”

So just what are Fascist Socialism, Marxist Communism and its contemporary version, Cultural Marxism?

At the deepest, most important level of all, these ideologies are really about the human condition after the Fall and the causes of evil and suffering as defined by fallen mankind.

From the moment that Adam and Eve were ushered out of paradise, men began complaining:

“Why must we die? Why must there be decay? Why must we work? Why does he have (fill in the blanks) but I do not? That’s unfair! Why can’t we say, do and have whatever we desire? If it feels good (libidinous impulses) then why shouldn’t we do it? Why must there be authority, rules, norms, absolutes, and consequences? Why does it have to be this way? Why can’t it be the way we want it to be?” 

And finally: Who or what is the cause of our suffering?

From Nimrod to Karl Marx and contemporary rebels and apostates, the answer is the transcendent Authority of God the Father Almighty together with the fallen condition of man and the world:

“Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God.”    He “changed the government into tyranny” in order to turn them away from God and make them dependent upon his own power.   He also would be revenged upon God “if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach!”  And he would “avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers.”    (Jewish historian Josephus cited in” Who was Nimrod?”  Dr. David Livingston)

Karl Marx dreamt of ruining the world created by God the Father and proclaiming himself ‘god.’  In his poem “Human Pride,” he writes that after ruining the world:

“I will wander godlike and victorious /Through the ruins of the world/ And, giving my words an active force/ I will feel equal to the Creator.”  ((Marx and Satan, Richard Wurmbrand, pp. 30-31)

Marx’s comrade in arms, Mikhail Bakunin, aligned himself with the Devil and declared:

“The Evil One is the satanic revolt against divine authority….Socialists recognize each other by the words, “In the name of the one to whom a great wrong has been done….Satan (is) the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds.” (Mikhail Bakunin, ibid, p. 27)

After confessing to his ‘cosmic authority’ problem, New York University professor Thomas Nagel admits:

“I want atheism to be true and am made uneasy by the fact that some of the most intelligent and well-informed people I know are religious believers.  It isn’t just that I don’t believe in God (but) that I hope there is no God!  I don’t want there to be a God; I don’t want the universe to be like that.”  (The Rage Against God, Peter Hitchens, p. 150)

It is when the terrible-willed and their followers–most generally pleasure-seeking hedonists– become possessive of the things of this world and resentful of the “way things are” that they rebel against God the Father and raise up new Towers of Babel—separate paradises— here on earth.   With Nimrod it was Babylon.   Marx’s Tower was the materialist Communist worker’s paradise while Hitler’s Babel was his socialist Third Reich.    Today’s occult New Age heralds the coming of  the final Tower—a planetary communist paradise, but it will be blatantly Luciferic rather than materialist.

In the preface to “The Silmarillion,” the all-important creation account that sets the stage for the subsequent Lord of the Rings trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien observes of the terrible-willed:

“…. (they) will rebel against the laws of the Creator—especially against mortality.” Possessiveness toward the things of this world alone or together with hatred of death and decay “will lead to the desire for Power, for making the will more quickly effective–and so to the Machine (magic).” (p. xiii)

Tolkien defines magic as the abuse of God-given talents and powers fueled by the:

“corrupted motive of dominating: bull-dozing the real world, or coercing other wills” by way of ideologies designed for the unmaking of the world as it is.

In other words, when pride, wrath, lust and envy inflate to monstrous proportions it is then that the terrible-willed declare the death of God, usurp His powers, declare themselves gods and  invent reality-denying ideologies such as rationalism, materialism, liberalism, secularism, determinism, green environmentalism, socialism, and evolutionism to seduce and coerce other wills:

“Darwinism came at the desired time; Darwin’s theory that man is the descendant of a lower animal destroyed the entire foundation of Christian dogma. “  (Anton Pannekoek, Marxism And Darwinism, Translated by Nathan Weiser. And of course straight-forward questions are absolutely forbidden lest they expose the corpus of lies, hate, hypocrisy, deceit and delusion underlying and fueling the ‘Machine.’

On the subject of the Machine, Herbert Schlossberg perceptively observed:

“Exalting mankind to the status of deity…dates from the farthest reaches of antiquity, but its development into an ideology embracing the masses is a characteristic of modernity.” (Herbert Schlossberg, cited in The Seduction of Christianity, Dave Hunt and T.A. McMahon)

Ex-Communist atheist Alexander Solzhenitsyn described the terrible-willed god-men as the masters of the world who, bearing no evil within themselves, have declared that all the evils of the world are caused not by man’s fallen human condition but by deterministic external or natural causes— unjust, unfair systems.

In his book, “Cry Havoc: The Great American Bring-Down and How it Happened,” Ralph de Toledano identifies the unfair, unjust systems:

“the morality that derives from the Old and New Testaments, the traditional family, the respect for the past as a guide to the future, the restraint of man’s baser instincts, and a socio-political organization which guaranteed freedom without license. Of these obstacles, the two greatest were God and the family.” (p. 26)

Former atheist Peter Hitchens notes that throughout the West the Left’s hostility to Christian theism is specific because orthodox Christianity:

“….is the religion of their own homes and homeland, the form in which they have encountered—and generally disliked and resented—the power of God in their own lives…..the Left sympathizes with Islam because (it is) the enemy of their (own enemy, the Christian culture).”   (Hitchens, p. 131)

Hostility to God and Christianity is not confined to just the Left but shared equally with GOP atheist insiders.    Because of their hostility to God and Christianity they hold in utter contempt the middle-class, mainly Christian constituents they must rely upon to be re-elected.

Solzhenitsyn summarized the whole meaning of Fascism, Marxist Communism and Cultural Marxism when he described their three main causes as rebellion against God the Father quickly followed by apostasy and denial of man’s fallen condition, allowing the rebels and apostates to comfortably “forget” that evil cuts right through the hearts of all men, themselves included.

Peter Hitchens writes that atheists and antitheists who have the good fortune to live in a society governed by religious belief:

“….may feel free from absolute moral bonds, while those around them are not.  This is a tremendous liberation for anyone who is even slightly selfish.  And what clever person is not imaginatively and cunningly selfish?”   (Peter Hitchens, p. 148)

Modern ideologies and the murderous utopian systems spawned by them are spiritual diseases of fallen  men.  The only cure is spiritual regeneration through submission to God the Father Almighty.

Debase Morals: Deteriorate Cultural

“The sinner treats sin as though it leaves no mark. The adulterer or adulteress regard past sins as easily wiped out as a bit of food on the corner of their mouths. What is past is past, they hold, and they see no wickedness in their attitude.” R. J. Rushdoony

When the arrogance of men and nations cause them to overreach their capacity they become vulnerable to decline. Our capacity is limited by time, by our physical dimensions, by our mental capacity, by our individuality, and by our personal fragility. We are puny compared to the size of the universe and our minds are tiny compared to the wisdom that created it. We are avaricious, cruel, and unable to fully understand each other. When in our hubris we fail to recognize these limitations and begin to exercise an unwarranted omnipotence we upset the preset pattern that governs our peaceful existence.

We were not created to govern ourselves!

The New Testament contains an element of rebirth excitement that when not properly balanced tends to distort the Gospel. This distortion tarries because many Christians would rather live in rebirth excitement than mature into effective Christian workers and many Christian leaders have a vested interest in preaching distorted happy promises rather than a true Biblical message.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:17 I vividly remember reading this verse in my early Christian years and understanding it to mean that the consequences of my hideous sins were forgiven and the purity of the Holy Spirit in me would be transmitted to my children. This idea was strengthened by this verse from Acts 16:31, “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

I was saved and all things were new. The entire direction of life had changed from seeking out and participating in sinful behavior to praying that God would deliver me from sinful desires and free me from sin. Instead of wanting to sin I now wanted not to sin; a one hundred and eighty degree shift had taken place. And, alleluia, I was forgiven; my soul was heaven bound; death had lost its sting! But sin still clung to my behavior. It was slow to leave.

God’s Love and God’s Grace were nourishment; sin and obedience were alien. I wanted to witness God’s love in God’s people and hear pagans comment on how we loved each other. Of course it did not happen, almost fifty years ago, any more than it happens now, and Christians still crave it, for I have received many email prophecies that exhort converts to love one another. Church leadership selfishly craves church growth and those that attend selfishly seek personal benefits. Love cannot flourish in this self-centered atmosphere

During my early Christian years I thought my sins were forgiven and forgotten. I was only half right. It was too long before I began to understand that the sins of the fathers are passed on to the third and fourth generations and that King David was a man after God’s own heart but his past sin infested his family and family turmoil followed him to his death bed.

My sins are forgiven and I have been blest but the consequences of those sins still haunted my life.

I sired three children; all have problems. Parents invest prayer, time, and considerable amounts of money into their children. We love them in spite of their behavior and when they snub us, break off relationships with us, or arrogantly defy us they create severe pain.

We need to renew our knowledge of God’s assessment of parents. Parents are to be honored, respected, and obeyed. God prescribes death as punishment for striking a parent. In a sense parents are to children as God is to parents; they are to be cherished. My father died when I was still in rebellion and I did not have an opportunity to honor him but my mother was alive. She witnessed my transformation and I made every effort to honor her. I apologized for my rebellious behavior and until she died I spent time with her doing the things she wanted to do. Often Christians do not understand that their conception of blessing may not be a blessing to the recipient. Blessing must always be in terms of the recipient’s wants and needs.

Married children are no longer enjoined to obey their parents. However, they are required to honor them; giving serious consideration to their advice and their opinions. One need only read the genealogies in the Bible to understand that family is important to God. Decisions that separate the family should always involve parents who should continue to be a central focus for children.

Several years ago, Patty and I spent a considerable amount of time with an Italian family in Italy. We had rented an apartment in a small town some twenty-five miles from Naples. English was not popular but this family had lived in New York and they all spoke English. They had returned to Italy where the father purchased a restaurant and three or four apartment rental units. His wife and two sons worked with him in the business. One son was married and in his late twenties, the other was in his early thirties and single.

The respect these two boys showed for their father was evident in everything they did. His requests were immediately followed and if one of them was sitting down talking with us at a table and his father entered the room he would immediately get up and get busy. There was no resentment; they did their father’s bidding out of respect for him and his position as owner of the restaurant and head of the family. It was particularly pertinent to me because I have known more than one rebellious son who had a difficult time working with his father in a family business. Most children in the United States have not learned proper respect for their fathers.

Arminian Dispensationalism, the primary theology of Evangelical Christianity, has blurred the definition of sin. The definition given by Charismatics early in my Christian journey was “separation from God”. It is a meaningless, ambiguous definition. Without God’s Commandments there is no sin. Sin is the violation of God’s Command or God’s Law. Because Christians do not have a proper definition of sin they cannot understand its awful consequences.

“And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord. Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, ‘The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet, He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.’” Exodus 34: 5-7

Christians sometimes maintain that King David was not a good father because of the many problems in his family. King David’s fathering made no difference. He was forgiven for grievous sins and his life was blest but God visited his iniquity on his children. I, too, was forgiven for grievous sins and my life has been blest but my sins are apparent in my children. One of my children hates me partially because of what she believes she inherited from me.

Sin is a very serious matter. It makes no difference whether Christians understand its implications or not, they will suffer its consequences. Goodness, sweetness, order, prosperity, and overall blessing result from obedience to God’s Law and Commands. Disobedience to God’s Law, unbridled rebellion and sexual sins are passed on to succeeding generations.

When we fail to execute murderers we allow a murderous spirit to invade society; a spirit that is passed on to succeeding generations. Sexual sins produce the same results. America is overloaded with “sex-offenders” and spends millions of dollars attempting to curtail sexual predators. These sins are abundant because we have failed to obey God’s Law. Our disobedience has allowed homosexuality to flavor our society and put us under the dominion of homosexual power.

Sin has devastating results in both individuals and society. Failure to abide by God’s Laws has resulted in a serious erosion of our freedom. Government is not the problem. Obedience is the problem. When we disobey God’s Law, preferring human law, we invite tyranny. Freedom is a product of obedience to God’s Law. We are wasting our time on human solutions. If we want freedom we must forsake human solutions and begin to obey God’s Law.

Modern Christianity is distorted with a Gnostic dualism that deems the physical evil and the Spiritual good. New Testament theology distorts the Gospel creating an Arminian spiritualism that destroys the Christian religion. When God created the world He called it good. It was maligned by disobedience and must be redeemed by obedience. The Creation is good; our sin sullies it. Jesus was obedient to the Father; we are to emulate our Savior by being obedient. When we are obedient we will see the goodness of God’s creation.

We as a nation need a large dose of humility. We need to discard our self righteousness and see the ugliness of our arrogance. Our humanistic society is busy tearing down God’s Law and replacing it with the evil thoughts of men. Already this process has resulted in encoding legal standards that defy nature and demean our endowed god-like qualities. Sexual sin would be a serious problem in a righteous society but in our evil milieu it is an inequitable promotion of a particular aberration and an inequitable punishment for another. We promote homosexuality while branding other aberrations as “sexual offenders” and rewarding their deviations with lifetime harassment. It is a supreme example of the result of replacing the perfect Law of God with the illogical, unfair, evil laws of men.

Skewed studies notwithstanding, debt will not be the only generational problem, legal deviations will create even greater chaos for several generations.

Are Evangelical Christians Warmongers?

I’ve been an evangelical Christian since I was a child. I’ve been in the Gospel ministry all of my adult life. I attended two evangelical Christian colleges, received honorary degrees from two others, and taught and preached in several others. I’ve attended many of the largest evangelical pastors’ gatherings and have been privileged to speak at Christian gatherings–large and small–all over America. I have been part of the inner workings of evangelical ministry for nearly 40 years. I think I learned a thing or two about evangelical/fundamentalist Christianity in America. And I’m here to tell you: I don’t like what I see happening these days!

Let’s get this straight right out of the gate: nothing touched by man can be perfect, because none of us is perfect. There is no perfect church, perfect school, perfect mission board, perfect Sunday School class, perfect pastor, perfect deacon, or perfect Christian. Until the afterlife, we are all yet encased in Adamic flesh, complete with human weaknesses and imperfections. And only the Pharisaical among us are too proud to admit it.

That said, I do think it is more than fair to say that, historically, Christians have always attempted to be–and have always publicly taught the importance of being–peacemakers. Historically, Christians have preached–and tried to practice–love and brotherhood. The early church was born in a baptism of love and unity. Oh sure, there were always individual misunderstandings and differences, but, on the whole, the church was a loving, caring, compassionate ecclesia.

Mind you, Christians historically were not afraid or ashamed to defend themselves, their families, and their country. The Lord Jesus, Himself (the Prince of Peace), allowed His disciples to carry personal defense weapons (see Luke 22:36,38). Yes, while some Christian sects were conscientious pacifists, these were the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of Christian believers understood the Biblical, Natural Law principle of self-defense. But believing in the right of lawful, God-ordained self-defense was never to be confused with warmongering.

So, what has happened to turn the most peace-loving institution the world has ever known (the New Testament church) into the biggest cheerleaders for war? I’m talking about un-provoked, illegal, unconstitutional, unbiblical–even secret–wars of aggression. The biggest cheerleaders for the unprovoked, unconstitutional, pre-emptive attack and invasion of Iraq were evangelical Christians. Ditto for the war in Afghanistan, the bombing of Libya, the attacks in Yemen, etc. Who is calling for the bombing of Iran? Evangelical Christians. Who cheers for sending more and more troops all over the world to maim and kill more and more people (including innocents)? Evangelical Christians. Shoot (pun intended)! Most evangelical Christians didn’t even bat an eye when the federal government sent military and police personnel to murder American citizens, including old men, women, and children–Christian old men, women, and children, no less–outside Waco, Texas.

And where are today’s evangelical Christians giving a second thought regarding their fellow Christian brothers and sisters in many of these Middle Eastern countries that are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and killed by the puppet regimes being put in power by the US government–at US taxpayer (including Christian taxpayer) expense? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but more Christians have been persecuted under the US-imposed regime in Iraq than were ever persecuted when Saddam Hussein was in power. Oh! And don’t forget that it was the US government that was responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in power to begin with. The US government set up Osama bin Laden, too. But I digress.

In addition to the “white” wars (the ones everyone knows about), the US government authorizes some 70 black ops commando raids in some 120 countries EVERY DAY. In fact, the secret, black ops military of the US is so large today it now totals more personnel than the ENTIRE MILITARY OF CANADA!

A recent report noted, “In 120 countries across the globe, troops from Special Operations Command carry out their secret war of high-profile assassinations, low-level targeted killings, capture/kidnap operations, kick-down-the-door night raids, joint operations with foreign forces, and training missions with indigenous partners as part of a shadowy conflict unknown to most Americans. Once ‘special’ for being small, lean, outsider outfits, today they are special for their power, access, influence, and aura.”

Yet, how much of this knowledge would even faze the average evangelical Christian today? All we hear from today’s “churches” is “bomb,” “attack,” “wipe them out,” etc. Then, at the same time, they get all emotional about sending missionaries to the same countries that they had just cheered-on the US military in raining down missiles of death and destruction upon (to bring salvation to the lucky ones that weren’t killed, I suppose).

And who are the ones that belittle and impugn Ron Paul? Evangelical Christians. Why? Because he tells the truth about America’s foreign policy being responsible for much of the hatred and bitterness erupting in foreign countries against us. I guarantee you that many of the “conservative” Republicans who booed Dr. Paul’s comments to this regard at the GOP Presidential debate this week would identify themselves as evangelical Christians.

The disciples of our Lord were called “Christians” first by the Gentiles of Antioch, because of the manner in which the disciples reminded them of Christ’s nature and teachings. I never thought I would hear myself say what I’m about to say, but the truth is, the term “Christian” today means anything but Christ-like. To many people today, “Christian” refers to some warmongering, mean-spirited, throw-anyone-to-the-wolves-who-crosses-them person, who then has the audacity to look down their nose in contempt against anyone who disagrees with them for even the smallest reason. And the word “church” has the stigma of being simply an enclave of warmongers to many people today. And that, my friends, is one reason so many people are so turned off with today’s Christianity. And I can’t say that I blame them. I’m turned off too!

Am I a pacifist? Absolutely not! Do I believe an individual, a family, a community, or a nation has the right to protect and defend itself? I absolutely do! And the fellow who breaks into my home or who attacks my loved ones will personally discover I believe that! But this blind support for illegal, immoral, unconstitutional war is anything but Christian. Not only is it turning people against our country among people abroad, it is turning our own countrymen against the Christ we Christians claim to love right here at home.

I dare say that the modern Warfare State would grind to a screeching halt tomorrow if evangelical Christians would simply stop supporting it! And the thing that most evangelical Christians fail to realize is that the Warfare State is one of the primary tools that the evil one is using to usher in his devilish New World Order that even babes in Christ know to be of Satan. Hence, Christians are helping to promote the very thing that Satan, himself, is using to enslave them.

Yes, I’ve been an evangelical Christian for most of my life and an evangelical pastor for all of my adult life. And if we Christians do not quickly repent of this bloodlust that seems to dominate evangelical Christianity today (spiritually and militarily), the word that was first used by un-churched Gentiles to describe Christ’s followers will be used as a curse-word to describe those who facilitated the ruination of our country.

Christian Leaders: It’s About Time You Test False Teachers

I have written several articles voicing concern over the Christian Right (CR) uniting with leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) for the purpose of fighting the culture war.  Other Christian bloggers are concerned as well and have been asking valid questions, such as why the CR chooses to involve themselves with these fringe groups.  As of this date we’re still in the dark.  So I’ll toss out the question again: Why do Christian leaders, pastors, and luminaries choose to unite with what Jesus referred to as “ravenous wolves”?

In my article series The Religious Right uniting with Religious Renegades I expressed alarm over some or our Christian leader’s decision to attend Gov. Rick Perry’s The Response: A call to prayer.  Many evangelicals were distressed that respected leaders would be standing shoulder to shoulder with folks who are associated with fringe groups such as the New Apostolic Reformation(NAR), the International House of Prayer (IHOP) and the Word of Faith (WoF).  These groups hold many of the same unbiblical beliefs such as “positive confession.”

“‘Positive Confession’, a movement that came to popular acclaim through supposedly good fruit such as healing, has revealed its true nature as something more like a cult, with extremes of belief that bring the Name of the Lord into disrepute. The roots of Word of Faith doctrine are firmly planted in the soil of the metaphysical cults.” (Cross + Word, 1997)

For several weeks before The Response many CR leaders who weren’t on board with the rally warned their brothers and sisters who were endorsing it that if they went to Perry’s prayer rally they’d be joining forces with false teachers and heretics.  But their warnings went unheeded by many.  A case in point would seem to be Joel Rosenberg.

On August 5, Joel posted his reasons for attending The Response (here).  He later posted a glowing report of his experience (here). From where I stand it appears he chose to shut his ears to friends and fans that urged him not to lend his good name to an event that included IHOP-Kansas City on the leadership team.  Here’s what Joel wrote on his blog:

“The Response” was no ordinary prayer meeting. Personally, I’ve never been to anything like it, and I was blessed by every minute of it. There were no political speeches. No entrance fees. No offering. No fund-raising appeal. No merchandise sold. No light show. No entertainment of any kind. This was simply seven straight hours of prayer and fasting, heartfelt contrition and repentance, Bible reading from the Book of Joel and many other Scriptures, and wonderful worship – both modern praise songs and beloved hymns — with every generation represented along with so many races and ethnic backgrounds. Let’s do more of this.

About those who urged him not to participate he said:

Some evangelicals were critical of “The Response.” They urged people not to attend because they have serious and fundamental theological differences with some of those involved in the event. A few emailed me and urged me not to participate. I heard those concerns and I have strong disagreements with some of the participants, too. But the truth is the vast majority of organizers and participants of this prayer meeting were theologically, morally and ethically solid evangelical, Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ. They included some trusted friends and allies that I have worked with over the years like Dr. James Dobson and Shirley Dobson, Vonette Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, Pastor Greg Matte of Houston’s First Baptist, Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America, Don Wildmon of the American Family Association, among others. Such men and women see the grave crises facing our country. They believe and faithfully teach that the Bible offers the only answers. Together with the governor of an important state, they called the country to pray based on the Scriptures. And many — including the media — paid attention.

Three things.  (1) A large number of organizers and endorsers were NAR/IHOP leaders.  (2) Bible believing follower of Jesus Christ Tony Perkins has partnered with the NAR in the past (see links below).   Tony knows how dangerous these groups are so why does he continue to partner with them?  (3) The AFA sponsored and organized the rally so most likely Bible believing follower of Jesus Christ Don Wildmon chose the leadership team.  Don knew well in advance that some were apostate IHOP-KC leaders. Is Wildmon (and other Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ in AFA’s leadership) so results oriented that it doesn’t matter to them who they unite with as long as they get the results they want?  Another question for AFA is: Do some of its leaders share the NAR’s unbiblical Dominionist beliefs?

Last year Joel Rosenberg was invited to speak at the 2010 Break Forth Canada Conference and promoted the conference positively on his blog.  He shared a platform with those in the contemplative/emerging/new spirituality camp including New Age sympathizer and Emergent guru Leonard Sweet and universalist .  When people wrote to voice their distress over his involvement in the conference, here’s how Joel responded:

The reason I am attending is because it is the largest Christian conference in Canada (some 15,000 are expected to attend), I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to accept the invitation, and I’m not ready to concede such ground to those who are peddling false teaching. I’ve been asked to come and teach the Word of God and preach the gospel and that’s what I intend to do. I can’t explain why Young, for example, was invited. But why cede the entire stage to him? Moreover, at this critical juncture, I hope to explain why the God of the Bible loves Israel so much and why He wants us to help mobilize a global movement of true believers to stand with Israel while so much of the rest of the world turns against her. Thanks for your concerns. I would appreciate your prayers. God bless you. (Online source)

The Holy Spirit wanted him to accept the invitation?  That doesn’t seem very likely in light of what the Bible says:

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’ table, and of the table of devils. (I Corinthians 10:20-21)

Please understand that I’m not picking on Joel Rosenberg.  To be fair, he’s not alone.  Many Christians share a platform with men and women they have theological differences with.  I’ve singled Joel out because the reasons he gave for doing it don’t really stand up.  It stands to reason that if he’s invited to “teach and preach the gospel” the other speakers are invited for the same reason.  At the Canada conference attendees were exposed to Sweet’s and Young’s heresy!  Moreover, they were exposed to a false gospel.

In a previous article I pointed out that some of The Response organizers and participants were also involved in the May Day 2010: A cry to God for a Nation in Distress put on by NAR “prophet” Cindy Jacobs of General’s International.  James Dobson promoted the event and recorded an audio message encouraging people to attend. Several CR leaders who attended both prayer rallies have been guests on Mormon Glenn Beck’s radio and TV broadcast.  Glenn’s guests have included Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, mega church Pastor Jim Garlow, David Barton of Wall Builders, televangelist James Robison (he didn’t attend The Response), even Joel Rosenberg.  Rev. John Hagee was one of the only pastors to pray solo at The Response.  Hagee chose Glenn Beck as a keynote speaker for “A Night to Honor Israel.”  CR leader Gary Bauer, President of Our American Values and a board member of Hagee’s Christians United for Israel, also spoke.   For readers who are unfamiliar with Rev. Hagee, he’s the founder and pastor of San Antonio-based Cornerstone Church which is one of America’s largest WoF churches (prosperity gospel, name it and claim it).  According to G. Richard Fisher, Hagee is a false teacher:

[C]areful evaluation of the teachings of Hagee…reveals false teaching and a defective view of a basic and essential issue regarding salvation and the Gospel. Hagee preaches another way of salvation for the Jew, which is in direct violation of Paul’s warnings in Galatians 1:6-9.  (Online source)

Some of you are probably thinking, “Hagee’s books line the shelves of Christian bookstores and sell like hotcakes so he must be a solid Christian.”

It ain’t necessarily so:

“How a book sells is not an indication of its merit. The American public has a seemingly bottomless appetite for nonsense, as evidenced by the countless tomes about astrology, aliens from outer space, quack diets, and UFOs that have regularly graced best-seller lists over the years. Some books that sold millions have later been exposed as hoaxes. A slot on the best-seller list tells you exactly one thing about a book: that a lot of people bought it.” (Online source)

The point I’m making is that even discerning Christians are finding it difficult to ferret out true believers from those that have a very different agenda.

I have one final question for CR leaders:  Do you not know that:

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (2 John 9-11) (Bold mine)

The NAR’s aberrant doctrines and beliefs are causing division in the Church.  In Romans 16:17-18, Paul writes,

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. (See also Philippians 3:17-19).

CR leaders must be obedient to God’s Word and stop uniting with those who are deceiving the hearts of the simple and do as Paul says: Mark them!

I’ll leave you with an excerpt from a 1988 message given by the late Dr. Walter Martin Warning of the Word Faith Movement’s teaching to the church:

Jesus said there will come men who will speak claiming their authority is from me…There will come men who will speak in my Name. That is, I am supposedly saying this to you – that’s a very important phrase!  They are going to come and say I’m speaking to you in my Name, they will work miracles in my Name, they will cast out devils…they will prophesy and preach. But when I meet them I will say, leave me, I never knew you, workers of iniquity!

Why? Because they use His authority and His Name because the power was in Jesus’ Name, or in Jesus’ authority, not in them. And God honored the Name of His Son. And they took that as a means of teaching their own false doctrines and false prophecies and because of that they corrupted the faith of the church. But inwardly, spiritually, they really roooaaar! And if you don’t know fleece from fur, you’re dinner, dumb dumb.  And the only way you can know fleece from fur is to know how to test them. And you don’t test them by Walter Martin or by Norman Geisler, as good as the apologist and defenders of Christianity might be and as much as you trust them. You don’t test them by other people.  You test them by Scripture. Then if your fidelity is the Scripture, and your allegiance is the Scripture, you reject them! But, says Paul, in the last days men are going to be drawn away by false teachers and prophets in the Church speaking in the Name of Jesus and you’re not going to test them.  You’re going to go along with them. And they’re gonna fragment and divide the Church because you won’t test them.  Well, it’s about time we test them. (Note: For clarity I took the liberty of making a few changes.  The original quote is onLet Us Reason Ministries.)

“Come Out Of Her, My People”

It is no hyperbole to say that the vast majority of today’s churches do not remotely resemble the New Testament pattern. In the first place, the Church was never intended to be a government corporation! Yet, that is exactly what every 501c3 non-profit “religious” organization is: it is a government-created corporation. In the eyes of the government, pastors, elders, and deacons are not pastors, elders, and deacons; they are corporate officers. And put to the test, virtually any and all of these so-called “pastors,” “elders,” and “deacons,” will confirm that they are corporate officers. So, right out of the gate we must understand that we are dealing with government corporations and corporate officers, not with New Testament churches, pastors, elders, and deacons.

Pray tell, where do you find anything in the New Testament about churches joining with the State, or being incorporated by the State, or being required to submit to the State? It’s not there! The 501c3 corporation status has turned the Lord’s Church into mere creatures of the State.

Therefore, please remember, when you “worship” inside these government corporations, when you give your tithes and offerings to these government corporations, you are NOT supporting “the Lord’s work.” You are supporting the work of the State. You might as well be paying taxes; it amounts to virtually the same thing. The same is true for all these TV preachers. They are all 501c3 incorporated!

This is why many pastors do not speak out on the burning issues of the day. This is why neither he nor his church will take a stand for anything. This is why he won’t “get involved in politics.” He is a corporate officer of the State, and he will not jeopardize his standing as such.

I don’t care how “nice” the preacher is! It matters not how knowledgeable you think he is of the Scriptures. It doesn’t amount to a hill of beans if he knows Hebrew and Greek and how many degrees he has behind his name. If he is a corporate officer of the State, he will never preach the “whole counsel of God;” he will never be willing to stand in front of his congregation and tell “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help him God.” He won’t do it! Why? He knows he is a State corporate officer, and he knows where the line is drawn. Ditto for the church deacons and trustees (I mean, corporate officers) that support him.

If the so-called “Religious Right” would get as excited about replacing these government-toadies (called pastors) that we have in our “churches” and putting honest-to-God, tell-it-like-it-is, fearless prophets in their pulpits as they are about replacing a “liberal” and putting some so-called “conservative” Republican in the White House, we really could have revival in America! The problem is not the White House; the problem is the church house!

Is it any wonder that the donor base for these religious-talking Republican politicians is mostly identical to the donor base for these religious-talking government corporations called churches? They are Siamese twins! This is why the “Religious Right” will never offend the GOP establishment: they are both sucking from the same teat! And the sow providing the milk for both is the federal government, via its non-profit corporation status, corporate welfare programs, and endless cash for the Warfare State.

Just look at the behavior of the people attending these government corporations. What do you see? Gossip, slander, backbiting, nosiness, jealousy, resentment, bickering, judgmentalism, and downright hatred is rampant! Church splits are commonplace. These government corporation “Christians” will betray their brothers and sisters for far less than thirty pieces of silver.

The motivating factor for most of these government corporations is the same as it is for private corporations: money. Money drives everything they do. The workshops, seminars, how-to manuals, etc., are all geared to making these government corporations more attractive and appealing to the donor base. Just as Jesus said to the moneychangers in His day, these corporate officers have turned God’s House into “a den of thieves.”

Why is it that today’s pastors and Christians are so clueless to what is happening in front of their eyes? They say they are “preaching the Gospel.” But they aren’t. What they are doing is pulling the wool over people’s eyes by refusing to sound the alarm! Why is it that as soon as the final “Amen” is spoken at the end of a “worship service,” the first thing out of the mouths of most of the men in attendance is something about sports? Why is it that so many “Christian” women spend dozens of hours each week searching the Internet in pursuit of whatever sordid information is floating around out there about their “friends” and fellow church members? It seems that today’s Christians are so ignorant of true Biblical friendship, fellowship, and brotherhood that they don’t know what to do with it even when they find it! Christian betrayal is epidemic!

A genuine New Testament church follows Jesus’ instruction to love one another. A New Testament church yearns for genuine Christian fellowship and brotherhood. A New Testament church prefers one another and honors one another. A New Testament church desires truth–even when it’s painful. And yes, a New Testament church is willing to die for one another!

I have spoken with Russian Christians who endured the “purging” under Joe Stalin. They told me about KGB agents bursting into a church service with fully automatic weapons demanding to know who the pastor was. They told me how when this happened, every man in the congregation raised his hand. They told me about how when government agents took men at gun point from the congregation, elderly ladies were laying in front of the government vehicles. Can one imagine this scene taking place in today’s churches?

I can see it now: government agents demand to know who the pastor is, and every man in the congregation points AT THE PASTOR! Government agents haul men out of the church and the old women applaud and get patriotic goose bumps as they are taken away.

All across the Christian spectrum, people are beholden to the state. Welfare checks, government pension checks, corporate welfare checks, food stamps, medical benefits, etc., etc., ad infinitum. “My God shall supply all your needs”? Who needs that promise? We have the state to take care of us! “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”? Irrelevant! We don’t even know how to recognize evil when we see it. “Give us this day our daily bread”? Antiquated rubbish easily explained away by our brilliant corporate officers in the pulpit. “Blessed are the peacemakers”? Forget it! “Conservative,” evangelical Christians and preachers today are the biggest cheerleaders, proponents, and apologists for spreading war, mayhem, and death all over the world!

I would dare say that most of today’s churches and pastors have never given a second thought to what the “church” is. The church is not a building. The church is not programs and musicals, and socials and recreational theme parks. The church is not restaurants and bookstores. The word “church” means “called out assembly.” Called out from what? Called out from state governance and control; called out from worldly philosophies and principles; called out from bondage and tyranny. That’s what!

Need I remind my brothers and sisters that the first reference, chronologically, to the “church” is found in Acts 7:38 where Stephen gave tribute to “the church in the wilderness”? Why was the church in the wilderness? God had called it out of Egyptian bondage. Hence, the word “church,” meaning “a called out assembly.”

So, where is the called out assembly today? It has left nothing! The assembly gathers together under the auspices of, and in the name of, the state. It grovels before the state. It gears its messages to the pleasure of the state. It keeps its congregants in the dark to the illegalities, improprieties, and criminalities of the state. It seeks the state’s approval and approbation. And when called upon by the state, it will betray or sell out any preacher, prophet, or Christian brother or sister.

You who say you love God, you who say you know what’s going on and are concerned about your children’s future, you who say you desire truth, how can you continue to support these 501c3 government corporations with your attendance and with your tithes and offerings? You are called to “come out.” So, why don’t you? These government corporations are in bed with Babylon. And Babylon is not our friend. It is enslaving saints all over the world. It is persecuting the Bride. It is making war with God’s children. It is drunk with the blood of pilgrims and patriots! How dare you sleep in the same bed with her?

How did the Holy Spirit conclude the Book of Revelation? By commanding us, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Rev. 18:4)

This unholy alliance between the Lord’s Church and Caesar, between the Body of Christ and Beelzebub, between the fellowship of God and the fellowship of Satan is plaguing our nation, our families, and our future. “Come out of her, my people.”

Texas Governor’s Aug 6th Prayer Event Leadership Team Includes Cult Members

The prayer event I’m speaking of is The Response: a call to prayer for a nation in crisis.  The cult Gov. Rick Perry has involved himself with is the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). The NAR has dozens of offshoots and an assortment of  names such as Dominionists, Latter Rain, Kansas City Prophets, Third Wave, Joel’s Army, Manifest(ed) Sons of God, Five-Fold Ministry, to name a few.  Another offshoot, and the one I’ll deal with here, is the International House of Prayer (IHOP), a splinter group of the Kansas City Prophets.   Confusing? You betcha!

I’m not alone in my view that much of the NAR and IHOP theology and doctrines are unbiblical, most conservative Bible scholars, apologists and pastors agree.   According to Brannon Howse:

The Response…is being promoted as a time of prayer and repentance. However, how can Christians and Christian leadersgather together in a spiritual enterprise and a spiritual service, with individuals that embrace a theology and doctrine that teaches a different Jesus and a different gospel? I, and thousands of pastors and theologians, believe that the Word of God reveals that the teaching of the New Apostolic Reformation, (NAR) the Word of Faith movement and the prosperity gospel is completely unbiblical.  (Online source)

The American Family Association (AFA) is sponsoring the event. AFA is part of the Religious Right a.k.a. the Christian Right (CR). Is the fact that cultists are involved just a slip up or a failure on the part of AFA to fact check?  No. They know perfectly well who these people are and have decided to unite with them anyway.

So why would a so-called Christian group pal around with members of a Christian cult?  In a word, pragmatism.  This is the philosophy that “the end justifies the means.”  In this case the end is getting people motivated to show up at a prayer rally.  The NAR has the resources to accomplish this task because a large part of what they do is planning global prayer events.  Although I have no way of validating how this project was conceived it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the NAR wanted to do a prayer event in Texas that included the governor so they presented the plan to the AFA and a partnership was created.   Since it benefits politicians to have the support of the Religious Right, Perry also jumped on board. Another possibility is that AFA’s leadership has Dominionist leanings and they, feeling comfortable with this group, sponsored the event.  Finally, it very well might be that the governor’s staff came up with the idea and presented it to the AFA, they liked the idea and agreed to sponsor it.  Although it would be interesting to know how the idea for this event was conceived and how this group of organizers was put together, the fact remains that Gov. Perry and the CR are involved with cultists.

It’s not a stretch to say that most folks, including the governor, have never heard of the NAR or IHOP-KC, so it’s possible that at first he was unaware that cultists were on The Response leadership team.  He knows now!  And rumor has it that he might be backing away from the event.  We shall see what happens on August 6^th.

On the other hand, the AFA is not backing away.  As of today AFA.net has a large advertisement on its website.  But I’m getting ahead of myself.  More on the AFA after I summarize the NAR’s beliefs.

Let there be no doubt that the NAR is a cultic movement within many Pentecostal and Charismatic churches.  It stresses supernatural signs and wonders, prayer, and spiritual warfare. According to C. Peter Wagner, former professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, church growth guru, and NAR author,  the new apostolic churches, better than any I have previously studied, combine, on the highest level, solid technical principles of church growth with solid spiritual principles of church growth. (Online source)

The NAR believes that God is restoring the lost offices of Prophet and Apostle and that the modern-day apostles and prophets are gifted with the same gifts as the New Testament era Apostles.  What do the apostles and prophets do?  Wagner explains:

The apostles bring spiritual government to the pastors of the city so that the pastors of the city can do the job that God has given them in a much more effective way. The only thing is that the pastors of the city have to recognize the existence of apostles and be willing to acknowledge their governmental role. This hasn’t happened too much yet. (Online source)

Wagner said this over a decade ago.  Today it is definitely happening… too much.

The NAR also believes God is giving them new revelation, thus they are able to rewrite Church doctrine. Moreover, these so-called apostles and prophets plan to aggressively “retake the reins of our country” for Christ. They also hold that Jesus Christ cannot return until Christians subdue and rule the earth.  You say, “that’s crazy!  The Bible doesn’t teach that!”  True….which makes one wonder how a savvy politician like Rick Perry—who’s considering a run for the presidency–got bushwhacked by a band of religious renegades.

Returning to the AFA, what’s important to know is that it is a prominent Christian organization that has been on the frontlines of America’s culture war since 1977.  How prominent?  According to their website,

AFA is one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country with over two million online supporters and approximately 180,000 paid subscribers to the AFA Journal, the ministry’s monthly magazine. In addition, AFA owns and operates nearly 200 radio stations across the country under the American Family Radio (AFR) banner. 

AFA is big.   My reason for bringing attention to them is simple: Their supporters have a right to know if the AFA leadership shares the NAR’s unbiblical beliefs — or they’re simply deceived.

In my opinion the AFA’s leadership is anything but deceived.  Whoever chose The Response leadership team knew perfectly well that they were choosing members of the IHOP-KC and I have good reason for believing this.  Several weeks ago an article I wrote titled The Religious Right unites with Religious Renegades, Part 1 was featured on AFA’s blog Rightly Concerned.  After 2 days my piece was pulled — with no explanation for several days.  Why did they suddenly pull it?  Because I connected the dots between the CR and the NAR.  (Blogger David Brumley noticed that my article disappeared from AFA’s blog.  He became curious and began digging to find out why.  There’s not enough space to explain what he found.  Read his report.  You will find it very interesting.)

Christian discernment groups have been all over the Perry debacle.  They’re rightly concerned that the NAR is a major player in the event and that their participation will give these wolves credibility, not only with people of faith but also with politicians.   CR leaders must heed Christ’s warning:

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. (Mark 13:22).

You’re probably wondering, Is something sinister going on behind the scenes?

According to Herescope:

This type of prayer is not about evangelism. It is about Dominionism. This movement has been going on for decades now, but it gained momentum and popularity under the auspices of C. Peter Wagner, who first articulated this agenda in numerous books on the topic. Wagner… began to experiment with novel forms of worship, including prayer, in the 1980s. Wagner says that his idea about prayer began to change when he was exposed to Paul Cain in 1988 and Cindy Jacobs in 1989.  Paul Cain was a father figure in the “Kansas City Prophets” which formed the IHOP … movement. Cindy Jacobs has since become one of Wagner’s chief lieutenants in the global Dominion movement, particularly through the vehicle of prayer. (Online source)

The Response is not the only event where the CR and the NAR have joined forces.  In my 3 part article on the CR uniting with the NAR, I took no joy in reporting that “prophet” Cindy Jacobs and General’s International held the May Day 2010: A Cry To God For A Nation In Distress at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial and that pro-family conservative Janet Porter  of Faith2Action organized the event.  Among the many promoters were James and Shirley Dobson.  According to the Christian Post intercessors included Janet Porter, Tony Perkins, Jerry Newcombe, host and senior producer of “The Coral Ridge Hour,” the television outreach of the late Dr. D. James Kennedy, and Rev. Pat Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition.  NAR leaders ,  and  offered prayers of “Repentance for the Mountain of Religion” and for “The Church.” A large number of pro-family conservative leaders showed up for the prayer meeting.

Janet Porter is a huge supporter of Israel.  On May 19^, 2011 she ran a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal and in the Jerusalem Post on May 20^th:  Israel: You’re Not Alone. We Stand With You.  Following are some of the signatures of CR leaders Porter gathered for her ad: Tim Wildmon, Mike Huckabee, James Dobson, Mathew Staver, Lou Sheldon, Bill McCartney and Judge Roy Moore.  She also gathered signatures from NAR “apostles” and “prophets” Chuck Pierce, Rick Joyner,  and . Far be from me to criticize Janet for supporting Israel.  I’m with her on this one.  What troubles me is her ongoing friendship with wolves in sheep’s clothing.

There’s more.  A number of prominent pastors and Christian leaders attended Televangelist James Robison’s Leadership Summit in September of 2010 and again in June of 2011.  Robison conducted the gathering because he believes, there is an insidious attack on God, faith, family and freedom” and that God was planning on using this group of “national leaders to help inspire a spiritual awakening, a return to sanity and a restoration of freedom’s foundation. (Online source)

Robison’s blog provides visitors with a list of attendees along with those who encouraged and assisted in bringing about the gatherings.   The list includes some of the leaders and endorsers of The Response such as AFA founder Don Wildmon, Tony Perkins, Jim Garlow, Richard Land and Tony Evans.  Emergent Church guru Dallas Willard is also on the list.  And there are several infamous televangelists.  For example: Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer and Rod Parsley.  On the roll with prosperity preachers you find David Meyers (Summit Ministries), Jay Richards (Discovery Institute), Maggie Gallagher (National Organization for Marriage), Wayne Grudem (author and professor of Phoenix Seminary) and Rabbi Daniel Lapin (American Alliance of Jews and Christians).  David Barton and Ravi Zacharais were on the list but their schedules did not permit their attendance.   You’ll find the entire list here.

I have thrown out a number of names, events, and organizations in this article.  My intent is not to confuse but rather to provide limited insight into how blurry the lines are becoming between true believers and cultists.  I hope readers will do their homework and follow the links I’ve provided.

The serious Christian must ask oneself if it is prudent to support false teachers in an effort to “take back America.”  You’ll find the answer in the Bible:

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove (expose) them. (Eph 5:11)

Exposing unfruitful (worthless) works is not happening!  What’s happening is that so-called Christian organizations are teaming up with outright heretics and unbelievers.  What does the Bible say on this subject?

“Be ye not unequally yoked  together (team up) with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness?”  (2 Cor. 6:14)

It seems many Christian leaders do not have an ounce of discernment.  Here they are standing on platforms all across America in front of thousands of people calling for repentance when they’re the ones who need to repent for going against God by uniting with wolves in sheep’s clothing!   Many in the discernment ministries have been warning the Religious Right about their alliances with those in false religions the cults.  How do they respond?  By thumbing their noses and continuing their march down the path to destruction.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, if you really want God to bless this nation His people need to start keeping His commands beginning with Jesus’ command to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost.  He said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” (John 14:5)

Do you love Him?  Then prove it.

An Antichrist in anyone who is anti/against what Christ was all about: NONVIOLENCE and forgiving ones enemies-NOT bombing, torturing or militarily occupying any!

Jason Leopold, recently reported for Truthout:

“The United States Air Force has been training young missile officers about the morals and ethics of launching nuclear weapons by citing passages from the New Testament and commentary from a former member of the Nazi Party, according to newly released documents. The mandatory Nuclear Ethics and Nuclear Warfare session, which includes a discussion on St. Augustine’s Christian Just War Theory is led by Air Force chaplains and takes place during a missile officer’s first week in training at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

“The Air Force has been citing Christian teachings in its missile officer training materials for at least a decade…Former Air Force Capt. Damon Bosetti, 27, who attended missile officer training in 2006 and was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana, said he and his colleagues used to call the religious section of the ethics training the ‘Jesus loves nukes speech.'”[1]

In the latter days of Nero’s reign [54-68 A.S.] through the domination of Domitian [81-96] Christians were persecuted for following the nonviolent, loving and forgiving Jesus.

That Jesus was first left behind when Augustine penned the heretical “Just War Theory” for that was when Church and State got in bed together and “our problems stem from our acceptance of this filthy, rotten system.”-Dorothy Day

Augustine was the first Church Father to consider the concept of a ‘Just War’ and within 100 years after Constantine, the Empire required that all soldiers in the army must be baptized Christians and thus, the decline of Christianity began.

With the justification of war and violence supplied by Augustine’s Just War Theory, wrong became right.

Nothing has changed in two millennia, for in today’s Orwellian world politicians claim the way to peace is through war and that nuclear weapons provide protection.

American money claims ‘In God we Trust’ but the truth is America’s faith is in an out of control Military Industrial SECURITY/Surveillance Complex which seeks domination, power and control over any who would defy and challenge the American status quo.

In 313 AD, Emperor Constantine legitimized Christianity and thus, those who had been considered rebels and outlaws began to enjoy political power and prestige and were now protected by an earthly king.

Both a patriarchal monarchical state and church were formed at the same time. Power struggles and debates were common among the early Christians. Individual churches determined which texts were read, and they all had their favorites. Constantine sought to unite his empire, and uniting the church was a savvy political move. He announced he would pay for fifty illuminated copies of scripture to be bound, and thus the biblical canon was established and sealed. There was fierce debate among the bishops about what should be included and what left out.

The proto-orthodox, who had now become the dominant voice, determined what was heretical for everyone. The proto-orthodox demanded much-loved scripture to be burned, usually because it did not fit their understanding of God. Jesus’ other name is The Prince of Peace, and with the marriage of church and state, his true teachings were reinterpreted. The justification of warfare and the use of state sponsored violence corrupted what Christ modeled and taught.

Jesus was always on about WAKE UP! The Divine already indwells you and all others. Christ taught that to follow him requires that one must love ones enemies; one must forgive those who hate, curse and revile them, without even a thought of payback.

Before Emperor Constantine brought Christianity into the mainstream, all the early Church Fathers taught –and all Christians NEVER served in the army but instead willingly suffered rather than inflict harm on any other.
The term Christianity was not coined until three decades after Christ walked the earth. Until the day of Paul, followers of Christ were called members of The Way; the way being what Jesus taught!

Jesus Christ was never a Christian, but he was a social justice, radical revolutionary Palestinian devout Jewish road warrior who rose up [intifada in Arabic] and challenged the job security of the Temple authorities by teaching the people they did NOT need to pay the priests for ritual baths or sacrificing livestock to be OK with God; for God already LOVED them just as they were: ‘sinners’, poor, diseased, outcasts, widows, orphans, refugees and prisoners all living under a brutal Military Occupation.

What got Jesus crucified was disturbing the status quo of the Roman Occupying Forces, by teaching the subversive concept that Caesar only had power because God allowed it and that God preferred the humble ‘sinner’, the poor, diseased, outcasts, widows, orphans, refugees and prisoners all living under a Roman Military Occupation above the elite and arrogant!

Two thousand years ago the Cross had NO symbolic religious meaning and was not a piece of jewelry.

When Jesus said: “Pick up your cross and follow me,” everyone back then understood he was issuing a POLITICAL statement, for the main roads in Jerusalem were lined with crucified agitators, rebels, dissidents and any others who disturbed the status quo of the Roman Occupying Forces.

The Religious Right unites with Religious Renegades, Part 3

There’s an old saying, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions,” meaning that people who believe they are doing good often end up doing evil.  It’s the law of unintended consequences.  Unfortunately this is what has happened to some–not all–religious conservative organizations.   I know of altruistic Christian activists, both conservative and liberal, who believe they are doing God’s work, but in their effort to “right wrongs” they have utterly failed to honor God’s command to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. “ (Jude 1:3)

What does Jude mean?  Simply that true followers of Jesus Christ are first and foremost to share Christ with the lost.   Yet many so-called Christians are not evangelizing the lost for fear of being perceived as trying to “push their religion on others.”  They detest being thought of as intolerant, thus they remain silent.  News flash:  The Gospel of Jesus Christ always has been and always will be offensive to those who are lost!  It’s a whole lot easier to say “Jesus loves you” than “take up your cross and follow Him.”

Some prominent Christian Right (CR) leaders that head up ginormous organizations are so busy fighting the culture war that they’ve forgotten what’s most important — Truth!  Jesus said: “Thy Word is truth!” (John 17:17)

The CR (unrepentantly) unites with pretty much anyone who is likeminded politically. Sadly this includes a slew of false teachers, cultists, and Social Justice Christians (SJC) a.k.a. Progressive Evangelicals.  SJCs are chiefly liberals whose main goal is to dismantle historical, orthodox Christianity and usher in a “new kind of Christianity.”  In the name of social justice, SJC leaders stealthly steer undiscerning believers into a left-wing collectivized utopia!

SJC is beyond of the scope of this article so I’ll move on.

PRAGMATISM = COMPROMISE

Many in the CR leadership are uniting with evil doers (God’s word, not mine). They have climbed aboard the SS Pragmatism and are proceeding full speed ahead into shark infested waters. Uniting with evil doers serves two specific purposes.   It helps get the message out and provides an additional source of revenue.  And let’s face it.  When the money stops rolling in organizations are forced to close their doors.  So these additional funds, regardless of the source, keep the message alive and the group afloat.

Before I move to my next point I need to stress that it is my belief that Christians should try to influence public policy.  How?  By casting their vote, serving in local government, forming and joining special interest groups, writing letters to the Editor, giving financial support, and participating in lawful demonstrations. Anti-abortion activists are a good example of Christians trying to influence public policy.  Pro-lifers have formed groups comprised mostly of Christians that engage in politics because it is the only means they have to end abortion.  If Roe v. Wade is overturned, it will happen because of the dogged determination of political action groups.

For obvious reasons Christians should never relinquish control of the government to godless secular humanists and “grievous wolves” (Acts 20:29)!  On the other hand, Christ never commanded His followers to build a theocracy!

Isn’t the NAR’s attempting to do this?

A SUBTLE SHIFT

P. J. Miller urges visitors to Sola Dei Gloria to read an essay by Rachel Tabachnic titled Lions In the Pews. “This is an extremely interesting article,” says Miller, “one I would suggest reading in its entirety. You may not agree with all of it, (the author touches on the rapture and a few other points which many believers differ over, theologically) but sitting that aside, the information concerning the subtle shift many Churches are making into Dominionist/Dominionism theology is excellent reading for those interested in the goals these people have set and are pursuing: That includes the NAR…”  (Bold added by P. J.)

The following is an excerpt from Tabachnic’s article with bold by P. J.:

But this strand has emerged from Pentecostal and Charismatic backgrounds and has been nearly invisible to both the mainstream press and progressive writers. Like other Dominionists the New Apostolics are culture warriors and have specific stated goals for overtaking all spheres of American society and government as seen in the video above.

Also, like other dominionist groups they actually invest much of their efforts in fighting the traditional institutionalized church.

However, they differ from most other Dominionist groups in their embrace of the outpouring of gifts of the holy spirit, or manifestations, like being slain in the spirit, Holy Laughter, and other states of altered consciousness that are a part of their very experiential worship style.

The New Apostolic Reformation is also much more focused on the expulsion of demons as the process for healing, social reform, or even raising people from the dead.  They have a unique and extensive lingo that is dedicated to the description of the expulsion of territorial demons including terms like ground level spiritual warfare, occult level spiritual warfare, and strategic level spiritual warfare.

While Pentecostal churches have always celebrated a restoration of the church, this has been tempered with Rapture theology.   As churches embrace this Apostolic revolution they are moving away from the traditions of Assemblies of God and other denominations and  are adopting a  view of the end time that includes the triumph and perfection of the church as opposed to escaping  in the Rapture from an evil world descending into the apocalypse.

They see the imminent end times as a time of great glory for the restored true  Apostolic church greater than the one of New Testament times, and a time when the foot soldiers of this church will be imparted with supernatural powers.

This outpouring of powers will allow them to crush evil with a “rod of iron” and deliver a purified church to Jesus when he returns.

Seeing as pro-family leaders , Don Wildmon, Janet Porter and  have united with the NAR one can’t help but wonder if they share their end times beliefs.  It’s a legitimate question to ask.

PENTECOSTAL MOVEMENT

Methodist holiness preacher Charles Parham is considered the founder of modern Pentecostalism. Parham broke with the Methodist church and started his own ministry. In 1901Agnes Ozman began to speak in “tongues” when hands were laid on her. Parham believed that speaking in tongues was both a sign of Spirit baptism and also the signal of the end of the age. Parham also linked the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with a latter-day Pentecost.

“What began on a corner at the turn of the twentieth century is now barreling down Main Street. What was once known as thePentecostal movement has now splintered into numerous diverse, yet overlapping movements: Pentecostal, Charismatic, Vineyard,Word-Faith, and Holy Laughter.” (1)

Add to the list Latter Rain Restorationism/ International House of Prayer (IHOP)/Third Wave/Deliverance/ Soaking in the Spirit/ and the aforementioned Dominionists/ Seven Mountains/Elijah Revolution/Kingdom Now/Joel’s Army/Manifest Sons of God and most recently the NAR.  I’ve only scratched the surface!

Bud Press of Christian Research Service lamented:

The Prophetic Movement is a dark, evil wasteland teeming with false apostles, false prophets, hyper-heretics, false healers, and greedy, money-hungry con men and women, all of whom are overshadowed by Satan and his demonic forces.

There’s plenty of blame to go around for the unholy mess the Church has become.   Liberals, liars, and loons have infiltrated her.  To paraphrase my pastor’s teaching (from my notes), believers have been misled by well-spoken, self-promoting, self-serving, charismatic leaders who emphasize power gifts but put little emphasis on preaching the gospel.   These men and women think nothing of exploiting God’s people for their own gain.

Jesus gave us fair warning:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (Mat 7:15-17)

While we’re on the subject of ravening wolves, some false teachers deny the divinity of Jesus Christ…

There was no bodily resurrection…

The Bible was written by men, not by Divine inspiration.   It’s a book of myths and fables, full of contradictions, open to interpretation, holds hidden meanings that only the “enlightened” can know…

Seriously?

Wolves teach that God loves, doesn’t judge, so all humans go to heaven.

Triniterianism is out…

No vicarious Atonement…

The virgin birth?  Don’t make me laugh!…

As for sodomy? No sin there!…

Fornication and cohabitation? What’s the big deal?…

Abortion?  It’s my choice!…

Wait a minute!  A Christian can choose to murder a baby?

Really?

I could go on, but hopefully the point is made. The postmodern Church will only tolerate a small “g” god who simply rolls his/her eyes at sin and say, “Boys will be boys.”

Over 20 years ago the late Dr. Walter Martin took on liberalism in the Church:

Let me tell you something that I have learned; I know the liberals. I know them well; I was one of them. And they are the most dangerous, insidious, and all-pervading cult that’s loose in the United States right at this moment…

And this theological flea infestation is ruining the lifeblood of the Church, which is evangelism. And, you think these are very strong statements; I intend to back them up in—if necessary—excruciating details. For any person who does not know that today in the United States, and in denominational structures world-around, we are in an accelerating apostasy does not know—I repeat—does not know what’s going on…

We have, for more than one hundred years, been under sustained attack in the United States; in our theological seminaries, church related schools, and our churches. A sustained attack by people, who have the form of godliness, and work within the structure of the Church and have—wherever they have been permitted the opportunity—diluted the Gospel and destroyed the Faith.

They occupy today the chairs in our major theological seminaries; the rulership of our major denominational structures—they maintain boldly and boastfully—“This[is] the Church!” But it’s not the Church if it denies the power of the Gospel… (2)

LYING SIGNS & WONDERS

The NAR travels the globe allegedly performing miraculous healings, raising the dead back to life and breaking down “demonic strongholds.”  They have visions as clear as a movie screen… give future prophecies…experience visitations from Jesus, angels, and Aimee Simple McPherson.  As an extra added bonus they get “revelation knowledge” directly from God and have the unmitigated arrogance to say, “The Spirit of God spoke to me…” but there’s no way to verify whose voice they hear!  According to Isaiah 8:20, “[I]f they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them.”

With all the powers these wolves possess, I presume some of them can walk on water.

WE’RE STILL WAITING, RICK

In 1988 “super-prophet” Rick Joyner shared his “vision” concerning the coming “revolution” in the Church:

“What is about to come upon the earth is not just a revival, or another awakening; it is a veritable revolution. The vision was given in order to begin to awaken those who are destined to radically change the course, and even the very definition of Christianity. The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants. A great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phineas; it will be said of the apostles soon to be anointed that they have turned an upside down world right side up. Nations will tremble at the mention of their name.” (3)

Have I missed something?  I can’t think of a single nation that trembles at the name of Rick Joyner or the other so-called apostles and prophets.  Joyner’s alleged prophecy came to him over two decades ago. He claimed that the “soon to be” anointed would turn an upside world right side up. Well, what’s the hold up? With the way things are going in this country, I’m eager for the “great company” to turn things right side up, aren’t you?

A CALL TO DISCERNMENT

Admittedly there are some CR leaders that want to build a theocracy as do Dominionists, but many in the CR do not.  The CR leadership unfamiliar with the NAR’s global goals is leading those involved in fighting the culture war into shark infested waters.  They must “take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them (evil men).” (Deut. 12:30)  In other words, listen up — and abandon ship!

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Cor. 11:13, 14)

Why Very Little Surprises Me Anymore

I don’t know if the above statement is a good thing or a bad thing. However, it sums up where I am emotionally now when it comes to the daily headlines.

In late 1991, I started waking up to the galloping destruction of liberty in America, and I turned my back on the political mainstream. At first, I was merely changing my political positions.

Then, slowly, as a Christian, I realized there was a spiritual shift here. Yes, I am still concerned about politics. However, as things deteriorate in so many ways, I am much more interested in how to represent Christ in a fallen world.

Why do so many Christians continue to praise and glorify an ever increasingly powerful and murderous central government? (At least when their president is in power.) Why are they so desperate for an all-powerful political savior?

The answers can be found in Scripture. I give you just a small sampling of Scriptures that have influenced my worldview in recent years.

In I Samuel 8:4-20, the children of Israel begged God for a king. He yields to their demand, but warns them that they will one day be sorry.

Proverbs 1:7 – “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Hosea 8:4 – “They have set up kings, but not by me.”

Amos 8:11 – “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:”

And now on to the New Testament.

Matthew 24:3-4 – “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. “

II Corinthians 11:13-14 – “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

II Timothy 3:1-5 – “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

II Timothy 4:3-4 – “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

This knuckledragger, who actually thinks that Obama is going to pay her mortgage and put gas in her tank, is just one example of how brainraped we have become.

Another example is the millions of adult American who profess a belief in Jesus Christ who think that GW Bush is such a Great Christian Man. They are just as easily influenced as these children in the documentary film Jesus Camp. Sometimes it seems as if Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the media that calls itself “Christian” just drag a cardboard cutout onto a stage, and these people bow down as if it were some golden calf.

If you are a non-Christian, please know that I am just as much a sinner as you are. However, there is a God Who rules the universe and Who judges good and evil. The only difference between me and you is that, on October 22, 1986, I invited Jesus Christ into my life to be my Lord and Savior.

And if you are a professing Christian reading this, I implore you to get back into your Bible. See what God has to say about life and about the world around us. Measure everything against the yardstick of God’s Word. Be especially discerning with anything or anyone that claims to be Christian. Do this on a regular basis and see how much clearer your thinking will become.

This is what I have done in recent times. And I think this is why – even though I am no better or smarter than you – I have stopped being as perpetually surprised about things.

The Religious Right unites with Religious Renegades, Part 2

My purpose for writing this article is not to discredit, scold or embarrass the Christian Right (CR) for their part in helping to advance the bizarre beliefs of a renegade movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).   My words are intended to be loving but firm. (Eph 4:15)   I believe the CR’s intentions are good and that they are honorable men and women who believe they are faithfully serving our Lord.  What they fail to understand is that the NAR is a Christian sect!

So with this in mind I am calling for spiritual discernment from CR leaders.  Prominent Christians are not exempt from doing as the Bible instructs: “Prove [test] all things; hold fast to that which is good [true].”  (1 Thes 5:21)  My hope is that CR leaders will scrutinize NAR’s theology and doctrines by the light of God’s Word.  If they will do this, what they will discover is that the NAR’s message has little to do with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ – and this should be cause for alarm.

CHRISTIANITY 101

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The words the Son of God spoke while He was among us are found in the pages of the Bible.  The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the four Gospels to correctly record what they heard from the lips of Jesus.  One of the essential doctrines of Christianity—a non-negotiable– is the inerrancy of Scripture.  In other words, everything in the Bible is true, thus God’s people must believe what the scriptures say.  This is Christianity 101, my friends.

Nowhere in Scripture does it teach that we can expect “new revelation” from God.  Those who teach this are in error.  Moreover, our feelings and experiences are not to be trusted.  I mean, seriously.  Can you really trust your emotions?

Many Christians, especially Charismatic Christians, are open to receiving a “prophetic word from the Lord” through a so-called prophet.  Some have even bought into the notion that they actually hear God speaking to them in a sort of whisper.  Apologist Greg Koukl offers this warning:

This teaching that God will whisper in your ear all kind of particulars that pertain to you and His will for your life is very appealing to Christians. Even though when you look at the Scriptures, the specialized directions are rare. They are unusual. They are usually unsought. And they are always crystal clear. None of this “I think the Lord is telling me” business. People are still gravitating to the suggestion that we can develop a sixth sense that can tie us into a hotline to God so that we can have certitude about the things of life and the decisions we ought to make. Why is this appealing? Because it’s easy. (1)

It is vitally important that we understand that God has chosen to speak to us through His Word:

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16-17).

The Bible makes it clear that God’s people are to live righteous lives.  The Bible says thou shalt not lie, cheat, steal, have sex outside of marriage, laze around, dress like a slut, get occult tattoos, drink like a fish, view pornography, and so on and so forth.  Living righteously means not being involved in immoral behavior.  (I find it ironic that Christians knowingly participate in all sorts of activities that displease God, yet they sit around fretting over whether or not it’s God’s will for them to take that job offer, or marry Harry, or go on a mission trip to Timbuktu.)

Simply because someone believes they hear God whisper things that pertain to them—or His will for them–does not mean the “voice” is God’s.  (Read Greg Koukl’s article Does God Whisper?)

Christians must be careful of such things as voices, visions, dreams, revelations, strong impressions, angel visitations and drawing on their experiences.  None of these things should be given equal or greater authority than what is contained in Scripture.  The Bible is the believer’s final authority.  Everything we need to know has already been written.  “If we do not base our understanding of Christ on the Word of God,” says Justin Edwards, “then all we are left with are opinions based on the figment of our imagination, the consequences of which are fatally hazardous to the soul.”

SEVEN MOUNTAINS TO CONQUER?

Conquering The Seven Mountains for Christ is the brainchild of the Dominionist movement.  Over the years Dominionists have gone by many names including Latter Rain/Kingdom Now /Joel’s Army/Manifest Sons of God and most recently the NAR.  The so-called Apostles and Prophets have a plan to aggressively “retake the reins of our country” for Christ.  Dominionist Johnny Enlow wrote The Seven Mountain Prophecy where he shares his expertise on the subject.  Enlow proclaims:

You are called to impact your culture!  The coming Elijah Revolution will affect the entire world and will prepare the way of the Lord before His return.

What is the Elijah Revolution?  ER’s website explains:

Elijah Revolution is a new ministry working in partnership with TheCall, Luke18 Project, and IHOP–KC, launching teen conferences and high school campus initiatives, calling teenagers to a life of wholehearted devotion to Jesus and radical commitment to God, in the spirit of a Nazirite.

Enlow continues:

There are seven nations “greater and mightier than we” – the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. These nations correspond to seven “mountains” of global society – Media, Government, Education, Economy, Religion, Celebration/Arts, and Family. These culture-shaping areas of influence over society are the keys to taking a nation for the kingdom of God.

This is hogwash.

The purpose of Enlow’s book is to:

help each individual determine his or her specific assignment in this mission; and then to offer insight into the nature of the battles involved in this spiritual confrontation.

Enlow then adds:

With divine power and favor, revolutionaries will take these mountains for Christ!

Revolutionaries?  Does he mean Christian young people must stand together and organize a far-left type revolution to take mountains for Christ? Yes, this is exactly what Enlow is purporting.

I don’t have a problem with Christians standing together to try to shape the culture using biblical morality as a guideline.  Nor do I have a problem with Christians becoming social activists, especially when it comes to protecting the unborn and traditional marriage. But here’s what I do have a problem with.  It is a fact that the NAR is awash in heresy — and this is easily proven – and yet these men and women, who teach doctrines of demons, are being taken seriously by the CR.

Something else I find troubling is that many professing Christians no longer share the Gospel of Jesus Christ – ever!  Christians of all people should know that real change will not come until hearts and minds are changed.  Why?  Because the unregenerate (unsaved) man is dead in his sins.   In other words, the unsaved man is spiritually dead.  (Eph 2:1) When he accepts Christ, he is “born again” or regenerate.  Thereafter he will see things through a spiritual lens.  In time his worldview will change.  Which leads to this question: Why are Christians not sharing the good news?

Listen to what Jesus commanded His followers to do:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Mat. 28:19-20)

This is a far cry from what the NAR is doing.  They think God has given Christians a mandate to stem the tide of evil in this world.  In order to accomplish this they must take the Seven Mountains of influence.  These mountains of influence are:

(1) Arts and Entertainment; (2) Business/Economy; (3) Education; (4) Family; (5) Government; (6) Media; (7) Religion.

They believe that as they accomplish ridding the world of evil, things will get better and better and then Jesus Christ will return to set up His kingdom.  And this is in the Bible?

One disgruntled left-wing blogger wrote:

I’ve been writing a lot about the steadily increasing influence that 7 Mountains/Dominion theology has been having on the Religious Right recently, though mostly as it has relates to Janet Porter.

But it is important to note that Porter is not alone in embracing this theology and partnering with activists who espouse it.  For instance, Lou Engle played a central role in last year’s Family Research Council “prayercast” against health care reform and has developed ties to many other Religious Right leaders as well. Others, like Cindy Jacobs of Generals International, have likewise been making similar connections and several of these groups have also become members of the right-wing supergroup known as the Freedom Federation.

And even Newt Gingrich is cultivating his own ties to 7 Mountains advocates.  Last year, Gingrich appeared alongside Engle at a “Rediscovering God In America” conference where Engle laid hands upon Gingrich and prayed for God’s protection for him. Not long thereafter, Gingrich formed a group called Renewing American Leadership and tapped Engle-associate and Prop 8 leader Jim Garlow to serve as Chairman of the organization. (2)

So what is going on here?  It is obvious—even to the far-left–that the CR has united with the NAR.  If this is untrue then why, for example, is the American Family Association (AFA) part of the leadership group promoting Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s “apolitical prayer meeting” The Response: August 6 1011?  Is AFA not aware that the group includes several NAR leaders?  Look at the list! In the leadership are such notables as:

Luis & Jill Cataldo—Mike Bickle’s International House of Prayer (IHOP)

Randy & Kelly Bohlander—IHOP &Lou Engle’s The Call

Dave Sliker—The Call & The Elijah Revolution

Doug Stringer—NAR Apostle

I can only assume Gov. Perry’s heart is in the right place and his purpose for this event is honorable, but without question the aim of many of those in leadership is to advance the NAR’s Seven Mountain agenda to take over society and government for Christ.

Sarah Leslie of Discernment Ministries has written extensively on the NAR.  In an email to me Sarah explained the depths of the NAR leader’s depravity:

They believe that the modern-day apostles are gifted with the same gifts as the New Testament era Apostles (with a capital “A”). We know from Scripture that the first Apostles in the New Testament era were given a unique job by Christ Himself, which was to write the books that we have in the Canon of Scripture. These 12 men gave us the Foundation (Rev. 21:14) of the DOCTRINE of the Gospel of Salvation. It was the APOSTLE’S DOCTRINE which built the church.

The NAR believes that the modern-day apostles are being given new words (both rhema and logos) from God and are able to re-write that doctrine with “new understandings.”  We have many articles posted about this on Herescope, including some key quotes from C. Peter Wagner and Hector Torres.

The NAR teaches the heresy that the modern-day apostles are the “foundation” of the church in a reverse hierarchical pyramid structure where they will rule the world (the 7 mountains) from a top-down networking structure. Their rule is said to be absolute and requires obedience from their downline.  See the series that we ran on Herescope, for example. (3)

I’ll end part 2 with a quote from 2 Thes. 2:13-15:

But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Christian Goats

There is a time coming when we will be forced to determine what constitutes a problem and what constitutes a solution – for those who are not Christaphobes we might call it separating the sheep from the goats.  There are a lot of goats!  With all the turmoil in the world we have not heard much from the Communist Party but it is still there and when the turmoil reaches an apogee it will be well organized and ready to take charge.  Already people are taking to the streets in demonstrations; and throughout the world. Domestic demonstrations are contagious so our media does not report them.

Attempts to destabilize America have been going on for a long time.  Revolutions produce chaos and chaos provides an opportunity to install new governments. There are many organizations and groups seeking power; some present a real threat.  The Communist Party is ready, able and a world-wide danger; Zionism is a similar threat.  The New World order and its United Nations arm are eager and ready.  Standing armies have always been a threat.  China and Russia are powerful nations ready to stand on top of the pyramid.  Libertarians and Anarchists have ideological agendas, and Mexicans are waiting in the wings.

Over the past several decades law enforcement in the United States has increased its use of force and its demand for undeserved “respect”.  Lack of concern for justice and robotic enforcement of the law (often bad law) fosters widespread public resentment at a time when chaos is imminent and a respected, efficient police force is sorely needed.

Unfortunately, the Christian Church has forsaken God and pursued a humanistic political solution to a religious problem. It has taken an untenable position; complaining loudly about abortion and homosexuality while steadfastly denying the basis for forbidding these practices.  Christians do not understand that law forms the religious base of society and it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God while obeying the laws of a secular government.

In the current issue of the SCP Journal (Spiritual Counterfeits Project) Lee Penn has written an interesting article entitled “Anti-Christs and False Messiahs Down the Ages”.

Penn believes that “within the Catholic and Protestant churches, there are movements and habits of thought that may predispose many people to heed the Deceiver when he stages a falsified “Second Coming of Christ.”  He believes that both Catholics and Protestants “have similar dreams of establishing a national – or global – Christian regime before the end of the age.  Included with those that might produce a “false Christ” is much maligned Christian Reconstruction, one of the few sheep in a sea of goats.

Sans some essential pieces, the objectives of Christian Reconstruction are fairly well outlined.  Penn uses the phrase “Old Testament Law” as a derogatory term and informs his readers that Reconstructionists seek to Christianize the world and set up a theocracy before the Return of Christ.   He describes this quest as a “dream of an orderly, righteous, religious utopia”.

Penn is rejecting a sheep and siding with a goat.

After tracing the Biblical description of times that will precede the Second Coming, he fails to note that this description has resulted in the imminent anticipation of Jesus’ return repeatedly from the New Testament era to the present.  He also fails to mention that Jesus said that He, Himself, did not know the day or time, nor did the Angels. (Matthew 24:36)  That statement should be enough to stop the embarrassment, contention, and massive waste of time and energy numerous theories about this event have created.  The day and time should be left in the Hands of God (where it belongs) and we should fight the battle and do the work assigned to us.

Penn has fallen into the disastrous trap of “occupying” until Jesus comes again.  He seems to believe that “occupy” is a Pietistic term that means biding an indeterminate amount of time with navel gazing (introspection and self evaluation), repentance, prayer for our enemies, humility, and spiritual acuity.  There is nothing specifically wrong with any of this but it is a truncated directive that immobilizes the Body of Christ and allows the forces of evil full sway.

Jesus directed us to take the Gospel into all the world.  Evangelism is close to God’s Heart and an essential part of the Christian religion.  It is, however, not the most important part; that is obedience.  From Genesis to Revelation God seeks an obedient people. The Bible describes the character of God.  He changes His mind but not His character.  When God gave the Law to Moses He gave His people directions on how they were to behave to bring lasting righteousness, peace, and prosperity.  For those who do not heed His Commandments He promised immorality, strife, and poverty.  The Law is a reflection of God’s character and a perennial guide for proper behavior.

There are several problems with Lee Penn’s theology:  1) He has fallen into the trap of assuming the Second Coming is imminent.  This assumption plays into the hands of God’s enemies by paralyzing His warriors.  The day and time of the Second Coming will be determined by God.  It is not our concern!   2) He believes the quest for order and righteousness is a “Utopian” “dream” and seems willing to allow evil forces to overcome Christianity while he waits to be raptured.  3)  He advises us to “occupy” and joins the do nothing but wait body of Christian fig trees that Christ specifically condemned. 4) His antinomian position fails to provide a structure for obedience.  5) Mr. Penn concludes that false Christs are a spiritual problem when the Bible identifies them as an obedience problem.  False prophets are to be executed and if we really believed in the God we pretend to worship we would agree with that punishment.

Immorality is progressing quickly, violence is increasing by leaps and bounds, and poverty is apparent everywhere.  These are the punishments God promised to those who disobeyed His Commandments.  Professing Christians do what is right in their own eyes and all of us are subject to the immoral laws our government has legally placed upon us.  Spirituality is not an antidote to behavioral sin.  The only antidote is repentance and obedience.  God has not changed.  His standards for behavior have not changed.  His Son has provided forgiveness for our sins but that has not changed His expectations. In the New Covenant Christians are His chosen people.  He expects us to be obedient

Christian Reconstructionists do not intend to impose God’s Law on a secular society.  We believe an ever increasing number of Christians will assent to obey God’s Laws and eventually an obedient world will result.  We are a tiny group but God showed His preference for tiny groups by reducing Gideon’s men to 300. (Judges 7)

Penn advises us to examine ourselves and repent of our sin.  He advises us to end our participation in evil and deception.  It is good advice but Penn does not specify exactly what constitutes “sin”, “evil”, and “deception”.  Pietism always leaves the door open for humanism by failing to provide God’s specific direction.

Sin is disobedience to God’s Law.  If we are ever to regain God’s blessing we must become obedient.

Penn chides Reconstruction’s intention to return God’s creation to His control by obeying His Laws.  He is a pragmatist who believes Christians cannot be successful in transforming entire social structures.  As he reproaches the full orbed theology of Christian Reconstruction he fails to note that Islam is growing faster than Christianity and according to one of their websites it is because “Islam is a complete way of life. It tells man about the purpose of his creation and existence, his ultimate destiny, his place among other creatures and more importantly, it provides him with guidance to lead a balanced and purposeful life which will enable him to avoid the Hell-fire and be rewarded with a place in Paradise in the life after death.”

Penn is a smart guy; a Phi Beta Kappa who graduated cum laude from Harvard.  His research and writing are above reproach but he leaves Christians in the same useless quagmire they have occupied since they allowed foreign theologies to dominate their religion more than two centuries ago.

Sheep obey their Master’s voice, goats do not.

The Religious Right uniting with Religious Renegades, Part 1

Some Religious Right leaders have joined forces with movers and shakers, literally speaking, of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).  They have been warned about this “New Breed” of Christian and their global kingdom agenda and have chosen to disregard the warnings.   This article will put to rest the notion that the NAR’s esoteric doctrines fall within the pale of orthodox Christianity. The hope of course is that the Religious or Christian Right will wake up and smell the coffee and sever all ties with these renegades.

What’s astounding is that conservative Christian leaders, many of whom are biblically literate, fail to recognize blatant false teaching. For instance, some of them assume John Hagee, senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, is an orthodox preacher when Hagee promotes unbiblical word-faith teaching!

But this is not about John Hagee’s promotion of the doctrine of positive confession.  This is about the unorthodox teaching and the sinister plans of the NAR.  The reason I’m sounding the alarm is that more and more Christians are getting caught up in this cult.

False teachers have made their mark on the Church by marketing a user-friendly “relevant” Christianity that is a whole lot more palatable to the unchurched “seeker” than the Christianity of the Reformers.  Admittedly, even to the discerning believer truth laced with false teaching is as tough to detect as a few drops of arsenic in a tall glass of water.

Some apostates are so sly that the average Christian in the pew is defenseless against them.  But, thankfully, not everyone is taken in by them.  When false teaching comes into churches from lose canons who depart from sound doctrine (Titus 2:1) some folks recognize it and alert others.   In many instances those who speak up and address their concerns are ignored, marginalized, or accused of being divisive.  The person who will not back down is often given the boot!

THE NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION

I have written about NAR previously.  I pointed out that,

leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation, a heretical movement that sprang from the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, claim that they hear directly from God, Jesus and angels. They even encourage their followers to contact angels despite the fact that Scripture expressly forbids contacting the spirit world because Satan and his demons can appear as an “angel of light” to deceive people. (2 Cor 11:14) Like the apostles who established the early church, these “restored apostles and prophets” believe they are called by God to lay the foundation and government for the new earthly Kingdom. Moreover, they believe that soon they will take dominion over government and dominate the world politically and spiritually. (I’ll cover Dominionism in Part 2.)

It has become necessary to report on the NAR again because it is gaining credibility with evangelicals as well as the conservative media, entertainers, politicians and the Tea Party movement.

Last year self-professed NAR prophet Cindy Jacobs’ and General’s International held the May Day 2010: A Cry To God For A Nation In Distress at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial where “local representatives shared about their state’s Christian heritage and lifted up prayers for their state and the United States. National leaders offered up prayers of repentance for seven main issues: family, the church, education, arts and entertainment, business, government and the media.” Janet Porter of Faith2Action had an active role in organizing the gathering.  In attendance were  such notables as James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Wendy Wright, Jerry Newcombe, Peter LaBarbera,  David Barton, Mathew Staver, Robert Knight, Alan Keyes, to name a few.  Also in attendance were several NAR leaders including C. Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets, Lance Wallnau and Rick Joyner.

In April 2010 conservative Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA hosted The Awakening 2010 conference sponsored by the Freedom Federation. They define themselves as “a group of the nation’s largest multiracial, multiethnic and multigenerational faith-based and policy organizations representing more than 30 million Americans united by core values. The group’s mission is to bring together community leaders committed to mobilizing the Judeo-Christian worldview to preserve freedom and promote justice.”

One of the speakers at the event was Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.  Other influential leaders include Newt Gingrich, Gary Bauer, Tony Perkins, Wendy Wright, Richard Land, Andrea Lafferty, Kelly Shackelford, Ken Blackwell, Mat Staver, Rick Scarborough, and NAR Apostles Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle, Harry Jackson and Samuel Rodriguez.

What is wrong with this picture?  People from the NAR who are in the grip of evil were invited to participate in both of these events. One example is Cindy Jacobs.  Jacobs is the NAR’s “lead U.S. National Apostle.”  Cindy is supposedly a modern day prophet.  But I beg to differ.  This woman has uttered more false prophecies than Walgreen’s has pills, proving beyond a reasonable doubt that she is no more a prophet of God than Lady Gaga!  The truth is, Cindy Jacobs is a false prophet.

The May 2010 edition of Herescope reported:

Forays by NAR Apostles into the political scene in America have been until recently sparse. But Lou Engle…who has his own ministry to youth called “The Call,” has been politically active in pro-life and homosexual issues.  Some months ago he was able to pray for Gingrich and Huckabee with the laying on of apostolic hands.  But very recently the political stars seem to have come suddenly into alignment.

American political landscape has suddenly changed. A tumult is appearing in the land with the passage of health care reform. The Christian Right, with its years of courting political influence, is now poised to merge with the new Tea Party Movement. In times of crisis, natural or caused, things seem to happen faster and opportunities, that would take years, seem to happen in months. There is the scent of rebellion in the air.

Before I move on, I should point out that there is nothing wrong with Christians gathering together to stand up for biblical principles and fight the forces of wickedness that are destroying America.  And there’s certainly nothing wrong with praying for our country and for the men and women in the armed forces who put their lives on the line so that we can live free.  To say that our nation and our soldiers are in dire need of prayer is an understatement.  Even though the Christian Right (CR) often shares a stage with controversial groups/persons it does not mean that they necessarily share their views; what it does mean however is that when controversial groups/persons are invited to participate in a CR event it appears that they endorse these groups/persons.  It grieves me to say this—and I’ll get a lot of flak for it–but many professing Christians seem to have little or no problem partnering with false teachers and cultists, perhaps because these groups/persons are useful in furthering their political causes.

As a conservative Christian myself, I find partnering with the wicked unacceptable for the reasons that: (1) God opposes the wicked; (2) The wicked should not be given a platform — especially when God’s people provide that platform!

But that’s just me.

Ever notice how the CR complains about RINOs (Republican in name only) hijacking the Republican Party?  Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani is considered a RINO because he’s fiscally conservative and socially liberal.  So when he ran for President in 2008 he couldn’t muster the support of socially conservative evangelicals because they get all hot under the collar when liberals, who call themselves moderates, refuse to adhere to the official Republican platform on important issues such as abortion, homosexuality and same-sex “marriage.”  Yet the CR has no problem joining forces with CINOs (Christians in name only) that pervert sacred Scripture!

Listen to what Jesus said about false prophets:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Mat. 7:15).

And,

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect (Mark 13:22).

MOVIN’ ON UP

The NAR a.k.a. Latter Rain/Kingdom Now/Dominionist/Joel’s Army/Manifest Sons of God—no doubt I’ve left some names out–has been on the rise for over six decades.  As you can see the name has been changed umpteen times so that unsuspecting Christians will swallow the hype that there’s a “New Wave” or a “Paradigm Shift” taking place in Christendom.  They claim they’re receivingnew revelation from God and are ushering in “a reformation greater in scale than the reformation of the 1500’s.”  They also claim that a new group of believers will rise up and be given the power to perform miraculous signs and wonders, even greater than the miracles of Jesus and the Apostles – and they believe they have the power to cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead and bring multitudes into the Kingdom of God.

The founder of this sect is C. Peter Wagner from Fuller Theological Seminary.  Wagner is one of the leading authorities on the Church Growth movement and has been studying the field of church growth for close to 40 years.  (Rick Warren wrote his doctoral dissertation at Fuller Seminary on Wagner’s church growth ideas and was mentored by Wagner.)   C. Peter Wagner is the “presiding apostle” in the International Coalition of Apostles.

Orrel Steinkamp of Discernment-Ministries believes Wagner is, attempting to will into existence [the] ‘New Apostolic Reformation.’  He tells us in a book he has edited called ‘The New Apostolic Churches’ of the struggle he had with naming his new reformation. [3]

As I pointed out earlier, what the NAR is putting out there is not new.  In fact, Bill Hamon of Christian International has been teaching it for decades.  Hamon runs a school to train people to become modern day “Apostles” and “Prophets.”  In his view the church is in her third and final Reformation and Christ can’t return to earth until the Church purifies itself.

Steinkamp wonders:

Can it be argued that this ‘New reformation’ is something that God has just recently dropped new from heaven like the baby Superman from Krypton? I suggest that there is nothing new here at all and for anyone willing to do the study they will find it a mere cutting edge version of something at least 100 years old. G. Raymond Carlson, former General Superintendent of the AOG [USA], had this to say regarding the new apostles and prophets:

‘I saw it in the New Order of the Latter Rain in the late 40’s and early 50’s. Before that, it made its presence felt in the early days of the century among early Pentecostals.’

Steinkamp continues:

To Latter Rain teachers it seemed obvious that if there was to be a repeated apostolic Pentecost then apostles and prophets must be restored as well. These teachers then devised a historical scheme of restoration. Church history was understood as a succession of recoveries of lost or neglected truths. Luther recovered justification by faith, Baptists believers’ baptism, Wesley holiness, A.B. Simpson healing and the early Pentecostal pioneers the gifts of the Spirit. The recovery process was now extended further. The end time body of Christ must go on to maturity and restore the apostles and prophets and these restored ministries must lead the church to a new and final dimension of power and authority not only bringing in the final harvest but establishing the Kingdom of God upon the earth. [4]

Are we to establish a Kingdom of God upon earth?  Listen to what Jesus says:

My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. (John 18:36).

The NAR has one thing right.  The ministry of the apostles continues today:

Not in the person of anyone claiming to be an apostle, but in the New Testament.  Every time the Word of God in the New Testament is read and proclaimed, the apostolic ministry and office fulfills its role. The apostles of the first century live on today, in the Church, through the Word God has given us through them. [5]

God or Country? Whom Will You Serve?

Last September, a Gainesville, Florida preacher made a pluperfect gluteus maximus of himself when he threatened to burn copies of Koran on September 11. Even though he would change his mind as the scheduled burning drew closer, millions of Christians were extremely vocal on both sides of the issue.

This is not about the First Amendment, which rightfully protects all sorts of gratuitous publicity stunts. The proposed burning was a horribly bad witness for Christianity.

Many of the same Christians who were so animated about the Florida episode have been quiet about a much bigger outrage: the U.S. military burning Bibles in Afghanistan in the spring of 2009.

Jesus Great Commission – Matthew 28:18-20 – states:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

A few observations:

1)    It does NOT say “bomb the crap out of countries that haven’t done anything to you and kill countless thousands of innocents.” The proper, moral, constitutional response to things like piracy and terrorism is a Letter of Marque and Reprisal. This is a sort of warrant to go after the specific perpetrators of crimes like this. There is no reason whatsoever for a massive decade-long American troop presence in Afghanistan.

2)    According to the above video, an American church had sent bibles printed in Dari and Pashtun, the two major languages of Afghanistan, to soldiers in Afghanistan. American officials had become concerned that these bibles would be used to convert Afghan Muslims to Christianity. U.S. Central Command’s General Order 1 forbids “proselytizing of any faith, religion or practice.” An American official expressed concern that such evangelizing could “promote a violent backlash” among Afghan Muslims. (As if the presence of American troops in the Muslim world has never gotten anyone’s dander up.)

3)    Ultimately these Bibles were burned in the name of “force protection.” (As if putting troops in harm’s way doesn’t endanger them enough already.)

4)    The Message of Jesus Christ, by its very definition, is supposed to shake things up – Luke 23:2, Acts 17:6-8. The New Testament talks endlessly about evangelizing, while saying nothing about joining any imperial legion.

5)    This is not an isolated incident. Be they soldiers in Afghanistan, school teachers in Indiana or whatever, Christians are being called more and more to make very tough decisions about who to serve. (1) It is all part of the ramp-up to the Great Tribulation.

Perhaps taking this chip will be your decision point.

Christians cannot serve two masters – Matthew 6:24. When Christians disregard their faith to serve Cesar, they become like the chief priests who were asked by Pilate “Shall I crucify your King?” They answered, “We have no king but Cesar.” – John 19:15.

(1) I am not telling anyone to quit their job or break their enlistment contract tomorrow morning. That is not my call. Rather, there will be a decision point for all of us. If you are truly led by the Holy Spirit, you will know what to do and when to do it. Scripture is very clear as to what we should do and where we shall place our faith – Matthew 6:33.

Rewarding Non-Violence In Palestine

Send pizza to the West Bank as well as Wisconsin…

Yeah well, talking about injustice in Palestine is always a thankless task. But we still gotta do it because Palestine is still a big thorn in the foot of the Middle East and if the Middle East ain’t happy, then ain’t nobody happy — at least nobody who likes to drive cars.

If you want Middle Eastern gas in your tank without having to spend a bunch of trillions of dollars more on war toys in order to steal it at gunpoint, then you are gonna have to come to terms with ending the illegal Palestine occupation.

“But Palestinians send rockets into Israel! And they have suicide bombers! We have to support the occupation because Palestinians are violent!” you might say. But are they? Violent? Not really. Not any more. That’s just old-skool thinking.

For approximately the last ten years, more and more Palestinians have become non-violent in the tactics they have used to protest against being illegally occupied by one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world. But are Palestinians getting any kind of recognition, kudos or rewards at all for having gone all non-violent? No. Hell no. Nothing, zip, nada.

For over fifty years, Palestinians had already tried the old “Red Dawn” armed-resistance scenario and it hadn’t been working. And so in approximately the last ten years they have noticeably changed their tactics and given non-violent protests a try instead. But so far the only results that have resulted from Palestinians’ non-violent protests have been to get shot at — and shot at and shot at — by one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world.

Bummer.

So. If Americans truly want peace in the Middle East and cheap gas in their tanks, perhaps instead of continuing to give billions of dollars in military aid to one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world as it illegally occupies Palestine, perhaps we should try something else and actually start REWARDING Palestinians for their efforts to be non-violent — while still trying to express their deep frustration with being constantly under the thumb of a violent and illegal occupation force.

And if we truly want to reward and encourage Palestinians for trying to be the next Gandhis, then what can we do?

“Order Pizza!”

Hey, it worked in Wisconsin.

I have friends in the small Palestinian town of Ni’lin and every Friday for the last several years, they have bravely gone out and non-violently protested the seizure of their small quiet town by one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world — and these ordinary towns-people are getting gassed, shot at and killed one by one. However, non-violence, while heroic as hell and very New Testament and all that, isn’t really working for them so far because one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world clearly doesn’t give a rat’s behind about Palestinians.

So I am suggesting that you do to my friends in Ni’lin the same thing that the people of Egypt did for the people of Wisconsin. “Order Pizza.”

Is there a pizza place in Ni’lin that takes credit cards? If so, give me its e-mail address and, instead of waiting patiently for Hillary Clinton to do it, I’ll reward these non-violent protesters myself — and order them pizza.

And imagine if everyone else in the world who could afford to spare a few dollars also barraged one of the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world with pizzas as well? Problem solved. Cheap gas for all.

And then what if we also barraged Wall Street, K Street, the Federal Reserve and even the Taliban with pizzas? It’s the volume that counts.

Everyone’s always talking about ending America’s huge deficit. Hey that’s easy to do. Just make major cuts in our out-of-control military spending, duh. And then let’s replace all those pricey Bradley tanks and luxurious F16s with pizzas.

Let’s build a huge wall of pizza (deep-dish Chicago-style with anchovies and olives) all around our shores and forget about the rest of America’s “empire”. And then let’s turn America back into a country that is self-sufficient in manufacturing again. And let’s start by manufacturing pizzas.

“But Jane, that’s just crazy!” Not as crazy as wasting our country’s resources and patrimony on manufacturing weapons — cold merciless steel weapons designed only to kill, maim and hurt.

In his recent article on US polices toward Israel, Israeli peace activist Jeff Halper stated that, “Israel is the number-two supplier of arms [in the world].”

And of course we all know who is the Number One supplier of arms.

So why is everyone relying on the United States and Israel to be in charge of keeping the peace — both in the Occupied Territories and in the rest of the world?

Isn’t that a bit like expecting two very hungry bears to be in charge of guarding a honey tree?

Even Thomas Friedman of the New York Times has a few unkind words to say about Israel, believe it or not: “Israel’s previous prime minister, Ehud Olmert, had to resign because he was accused of illicitly taking envelopes stuffed with money from a Jewish-American backer. An Israeli court recently convicted Israel’s former president Moshe Katsav on two counts of rape, based on accusations by former employees. And just a few weeks ago, Israel, at the last second, rescinded the appointment of Maj. Gen. Yoav Galant as the army’s new chief of staff after Israeli environmentalists spurred a government investigation that concluded General Galant had seized public land near his home. (You can see his house on Google Maps!)”

Perhaps we should be sending the Israelis some pizza too.

What if all of us little people from all over the world who are sick and tired of being bossed around by military thugs, bullies and sadists for the sole reason that their, er, guns are bigger than our guns — what if we all got together and refused? Refused to be soldiers, refused to make weapons, refused to murder, refused to…just refused. Then what would happen?

Ultimately it’s all in the numbers.

For every one of the bullies, sadists and thugs that hide behind the largest and most combat-ready armies in the world, there are at least 99 more of us who are sick of all this bloodshed.

Tunisia, India, Egypt, South Africa, Jesus and the American South have all shown us that non-violent tactics really do bring about peace — if you have the numbers. In fact, Tunisia and Egypt apparently even consciously took a leaf from Ni’lin’s non-violent playbook. So. Let’s put all of the world’s largest and most combat-ready armies on notice. “Chill out now — or else risk ending up like Mubarak, Bull Connor, apartheid and the British Raj.”

We’re armed and dangerous too — we’ve got pizza!

Rise of the Modern Moloch State

Global Spiritual Communism…

From the time of this nation’s founding on through to the current era, the majority of Americans saw God as the Ultimate Authority, the Bible as their ultimate guidebook, and the Old and New Testament moral law as their highest principles.

In a commentary entitled, “Conservatives Begin to See the Light,”  Joseph Farah describes the ultimate principle—the ground of being– on which our nation was founded:

“That we are created in the image of God and are accountable to Him. Without that recognition, we are virtually incapable of self-government, which requires us to be able to distinguish right from wrong, as defined by God. God has created certain institutions for His purposes and for our benefit. Among these is marriage, the family and government. But any government that exceeds its limited authority or attempts to usurp the authority of God is unworthy of its power. In other words, God the Father created all things Ex Nihilo (special creation). He is God, fallen man is not God. He is the Ultimate Authority, fallible power-hungry man is not. God is the Author of unchanging Universal Moral Law,  corruptible man is not. He created two sexes, male and female.  He did not create “gays,” lesbians, and transsexuals anymore than He created narcissists, braggarts, adulterers, liars, thieves, murderers and usurpers of His throne.  Ultimately, all of these compulsions and vices are the out-workings of fallen man’s perennial abuse of free will.

Because the transcendent, personal Creator is the  ground of being of all men, in other words  of man’s mind (i.e., conscience and ability to reason) and soul, He is therefore the ground of being of our unalienable rights.  Unalienable means, “from God, not from man.”  For instance, we are guaranteed freedom of conscience because all men do in fact have a conscience.

In short, the ground of being and/or the ultimate overarching principle on which America’s Constitutional Republic is founded is, “In the beginning God created…”   It is not imaginary spontaneous generation of something from nothing in tandem with  godless evolutionary conceptions  as scientistic materialist-monists, atheists in general, occult New Age  pantheist-monists and even some misguided Christians maintain.

Together, belief in the Biblical Creator and Christianity is the “glue” that has held America together—authoritatively, morally, nationally, culturally, and economically– since this nation’s founding.

Throughout history, no society–especially the most advanced—has existed without belief in  the true God or gods.   And where the people have lost faith in or otherwise willfully rejected their deity, the fate of that society has been death, generally at the hands of invading conquerors.

We cannot understand what has gone so terribly wrong in America until we see its’ social dissolution in this light, for by and large, contemporary Americans have turned their backs on God the Father.

In the hearts of such people, God is dead.  As a result, without the Divine “glue” to hold us together as a people, a culture, and a nation, America is coming undone.

America’s downward-spiraling social disintegration is clearly seen by the fact that increasing numbers of Americans are doing whatever they want to do so long as they can get away with it. Pathological lying has swept “honesty-is-the-best-policy” under the rug, lawlessness has all but overcome the Rule of Law, while amorality and sexual anarchy enforced by tolerance are today’s “new” commandments. In this climate of mindless license, cosmically-inflated egoism, covetousness, and hedonism, the Constitution has been transformed into  a magic lantern.   When rubbed just so the evil genie grants the “rights” and “privileges” desired by covetous, power-hungry, hedonistic  narcissists. Hence this latest outrage:

“Lawmakers in the state of California are proposing a law that would require schools to portray lesbians, homosexuals, transsexuals and those who have chosen other alternative sexual lifestyles as positive role models to children in all public schools there.” http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=262485#ixzz1DoqwYh00

Social Disintegration

Sociologist Robert Nisbet defines social disintegration:

“…social disintegration is really nothing more than the spectacle of a rising number of individuals playing fast and loose with other individuals in relationships of trust and responsibility.” (Whistleblower, America’s Gay Obsession, pp. 18, 38, 39)

In other words, in an amoral hedonistic society such as America has become, we can no longer trust the people we need to trust.   And now, as the “gay” newspaper, the Washington Blade triumphantly reports, high-profile conservatives:

“have taken the leadership role in achieving marriage equality.”  (ibid)

From Elizabeth Hasselbeck to solicitor general Ted Olsen, high profile conservatives are jumping onto the “gay” war-wagon.  S.E. Cupp, a young conservative Daily Caller columnist and frequent Fox News pundit goes so far as to say,

“Conservatism and gay rights are actually natural allies…”   (ibid)

However, support for sexual anarchy is Libertarianism, observed Kevin McCullough.  In his article, “Disrespectful Libertarians Hijack CPAC Poll—and Its Mission,” he says true Conservatives are not the same thing as Libertarians:

“The truth is libertarians are the worst form of political affiliation in the nation. Combining the desire of economic greed, with the amoral desire to promote any behavior regardless of its cost to our culture is a stark departure from the intent of the Founding Fathers.”   ” It is the libertarian in attendance that produced the free pornographic calendar passed out to attendees in 2010. It is the libertarians in attendance who openly promote the inclusion of groups like GOProud, largely as an attempt to silence groups who would speak in strong support of traditional moral values. It is the libertarian in attendance who slandered President George Bush, by claiming his appreciation for the Constitution was best summed up as a “damn piece of paper.” It is the libertarian in attendance that proclaimed the war to prevent terrorists from regathering strength and coming after our homeland as “illegal.” And it is the libertarian in attendance that eschewed, booed, cajoled and screamed “war criminal” to Vice President Dick Cheney, a man who served his country with commitment and still attempts to help the world understand the threat of the radical Islamic element devising plans to eliminate us and our allies.” (http://www.patriotactionnetwork.com/forum/topic/show?id=2600775:Topic:3207785&xgs=1&xg_source=msg_share_topic)


Satanic Black Wing Over America

Speaking through his character the Madman, the dark prophet Nietzsche announced the “death of God.”  Dubbing himself the Antichrist, Nietzsche proclaimed:

“The greatest recent event—that ‘God is dead,’ that the belief in the Christian God has ceased to be believable—is even now beginning to cast its first shadows over Europe; however, few really understood ” what has really happened here, “and what must collapse now that this belief has been undermined—all that was built upon it, leaned on it, grew into it; for example, our whole European morality.”  (False Dawn, Lee Penn, p. 433)

Like a vast ebon wing, the “death of God” overshadows America with an impenetrable shroud of practical atheism, irrational hostility and outright hatred toward Christians, Christian symbols, traditions, and holidays, as well as the America of the Founders, for in the words of Nietzsche, all of this “must collapse now that this belief has been undermined.”  Wittingly or unwittingly, high profile conservatives are aiding and abetting the collapse of America.

By rejecting God,  increasing numbers of Americans have themselves become in essence, little gods.  In practical terms, this means that America is no longer a monotheistic society but a polytheistic one in much the same way that India is with its’ millions of gods and goddesses.  And each little god and his cult followers (special rights groups) demand their “rights” according to what they most covet.   Will-to-power, or might-makes-right has become the way of life here.

In this light, Obama is but a little god-man who has managed to crawl atop the writhing anthill comprised of untold numbers of other god-men, goddesses and their respective cults.  From atop the anthill, the victorious Obama and other like-minded god-men force their will and way upon the rest.    Likewise, gods and goddesses whose wicked fantasy is a sexually-perverted “anything goes”  utopia are forcing their abominable lusts upon the rest of us simply because they too can get away with doing so.

America will eventually collapse, and out of its ashes will arise a global Moloch state.

Revival of the Moloch State

“While relatively little is known of Moloch, much more is known of the concept of divine kingship, the king as god, and the god as king, as the divine-human link between heaven and earth.  The god-king represented man on a higher (evolved, naturally selected) scale, man ascended, and the worship of such a god, i.e., of such a Baal, was the assertion of the continuity of heaven and earth.  It was the belief that all being was one being (materialist-pantheist monism), and the god therefore was an ascended man on that scale of being.  The power manifested in the political order was thus a manifestation or apprehension and seizure of divine power (through the conceptual murder of God).  It represented the triumph of a man (i.e., Hegel, Marx, Darwin, Freud, Lenin and Hitler)  and of his people (i.e., Bolsheviks, Marxists and National Socialists).  Moloch worship was thus a political religion (i.e., Marxism, Progressivism, Fascism, occult New Age)….Moloch worship was thus state worship.  The state was the true and ultimate order, and religion was a department of the state.  The state claimed total jurisdiction over man (necessitating mind-control, re-education, concentration camps, brainwashing); it was therefore entitled to total sacrifice.” (Rousas Rushdoony cited in “The Antichrist,” by Vincent P. When the true God is banished from man’s society, into the resulting vacuum rush new gods, peculiar ideas,  the dehumanization of mankind, strange practices and staggering cruelty.

Having accepted their own godhood, countless numbers of contemporary Americans are now rushing headlong into the occult, that is, Wicca, Satanism, goddess worship, transcendental meditation, channeling, and ghost-hunting for example.   These spiritist activities bring about a revival of the politics of ancient paganism.  This means the development of a divine totalitarian state based on a Hermetic-theology of “as above, so below,” that is, on the denial of the Creator-creature distinction.

“Ye can be as God…”

“The Moloch state simply represents the supreme effort of man to command the future, to predestine the world, and to be as God.  Lesser efforts, divination, spirit-questing, magic and witchcraft are equally anathema to God.  All represent efforts to have the future on other than God’s terms, to have a future apart from and in defiance of God.  They are assertions that the world is not of God but of brute factuality, and that man can somehow master the world and the future by going directly to the raw materials thereof.”  (ibid)

Human Sacrifice

Fyodor Dostoevsky foresaw the eventual failure of the Soviet Union and predicted that the devilish rebels against God would be forced to turn to the Devil and his minions if they were to finally realize their dream of a global Tower of Babel.

The Green Tower of Babel

Still under construction worldwide but complete in New York City there exists an occult temple complex consisting of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the Temple of Understanding, the UN and in particular its’ pyramid-shaped meditation room, and Lucis Trust, originally named Lucifer Publishing, repository of the “Ageless Wisdom Teachings,” or revelations from spirits.

Green is the symbolic color of the temple complex.  Green is the color of the “new” occult pagan spirituality which describes itself in secular terms as the green-eco movement. As the modern world increasingly succumbs to the seductive power of occult spirituality, a global totalitarian pagan state is arising.  As it is the ultimate counter-tradition, it will demand nothing less than the counter-conversion of every soul, thereby claiming total possession of and jurisdiction over every man—mind, body, and soul— in a state directed by demons, or Transcended Masters as powerful New Age insiders describe them.

Researchers say that somewhere between 100,000,000-200,000,000 men, women, and children were murdered by Communists and Fascists during the 20th century. The Goddess Earth Mother will demand human sacrifice as well.

Fast-Forward to the Past

Long ago, Paul observed that there are only two sources for all religions.  He said either man will worship and serve the transcendent, living, all-knowing Creator of creation or he will worship and serve nonliving, irrational creation and its forces.

Demonstrating that there is “nothing new under the sun, what once was will be again,” the “death of God” movement put moderns on a fast-track to the past.  In the name of enlightenment, naturalism, free-thought, the “death of God,” progress, scientism, evolution, and autonomous reason, modern men have not moved forward to something new and better,  rather they  have regressed to revamped versions of the  nature-based religions of the pre-Christian past.   As a result, the situation of contemporary Christianity will increasingly resemble that of the early Christians of the first century.  In his novel, “The Final Conclave”  Malachi Martin captures a moment in the cruel history of the Roman persecution of Christians:

“Simon Peter at last sees it all as Jesus saw it all from the beginning.  Even then, Simon sees it from a topsy-turvy angle.  He and some two thousand other Christians have been tied to crosses stuck upside down on the grassy embankment around the Imperial Gardens on Vatican Hill.  They have been daubed with pitch.  Tonight they are to be living, screaming, dying torches.  Emperor Nero, his lovely concubine Poppaea, and their guests will have light to eat by and sights to joke about.  Each Christian will die in the classic sign of Satan—the upside-down cross.”  (cited in “Capturing the Pagan Mind, Peter Jones, p. ix)

The Qur’an teaches, “The usury that is practiced to increase some people’s wealth, does not gain anything at God”. However, the Hebrew Bible makes an exception, Deuteronomy 23:21 “Unto a foreigner thou mayest lend upon interest; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon interest”.

Where is the self-interest of the masses that accepts the ruthless theft from the ultimate crime? The helplessness of individuals to resist the cabal of greed is obvious. The literal acceptance of rabbinical Talmudic opportunism is the basis of central banking deception. Let’s be perfectly clear, When Victims Rule provides the contrast.

Who created the sham of central banking? What is the justification to create money and charge interest for its use? Even more offensive, how were governments swindled into allowing private monopolies the function of loaning fiat money (produced by a ledger entry) to the State? What became of state sovereignty? The notion that a central bank demands an obligation from the government to allow money placed into circulation is not only absurd but is hideous.

The history of central banking is well defined. The refusal to focus on the controllers of the world’s money hoax is a requirement to engage in meaningful commerce. Governments serve central banks. The banksters share the iniquity of the Khazari tradition. The rest of us are all foreigners to the cult of the Tempter.

Asians are blessed from being condemned to the insane victim devotion that Western culture has sunk in the last century. The poor bankers worship in their hedge fund temples. Governments beg for sustenance from the synagogue of quantitative easement.

One can never fault for a lack of creativity, such a nasty trick. Foreigners will pay the highest price and brothers will get relief from the policy benefits that are always a condition for allowing governments to borrow additional phantom money. A nice gig if you can get it for a tribe of respectable merchants from the Venetian heritage.

Enough is enough! The global free trade/transnational economic plague all depends upon rolling over higher levels of debt that accrue more interest for the privately owned banking cartels. This larceny is not natural, but the evil nature of the banksters is genetic. Central banking based upon debt created money must be eliminated. Sounds radical but this requirement is entirely traditional, at least for civilizations that foster a meaningful degree of state and individual sovereignty.

A perceptive article Monetary Gold, SDR’s and the BIS explains the following,

“The official currency unit of the Bank for International Settlements itself is the SDR. The BIS, of course, and its member central banks and private individuals/corporations (until they were bought out in 2001) is the father of the IMF. The BIS also holds “Investment Accounts” or IA’s for the IMF since 2005. These are international loans and investments that the IMF pays the BIS to run. The SDR itself took the position as official unit of the BIS from no other than the gold* Swiss franc in 2003 (*more on that shortly). As we know, the SDR’s are “a potential claim on the freely usable currencies of IMF members”–55 of which are subject to the central banks that own the BIS.

This is how it works: the BIS is creating up SDR’s. The BIS is taking national currency deposits from the 55 member/owner central banks and converting them to SDR’s on its own balance sheet. The SDR’s are “claims on the freely usable currencies of IMF members,” therefore, the deposits of the central banks become claims on those currencies–the deposits of the fiat central banks who can deposit as much as they feel at the BIS in whatever currency the chose–including the SDR’s allotted to their “nation,” as the central banks are the sole depositories for the national wealth/sellers of the national debt. The BIS is then paying out dividends to these same member CB’s in the form of SDR’s, which again can be used to claim currencies. By August 2009, they had just made up out of thin air almost twelve times the supposed global supply of SDR’s. They are truly acting like the “central bank of the world,” complete with printing!”

The significance is that a modified SDR with an unredeemable (for individuals) gold backing component as a substitute for currency recalls is being floated out as an alternative for the failed Federal Reserve IOU Note. All the time the underlying debt obligation would just be rolled over into a new dodge to keep the Ponzi scheme afloat. How is this ploy any different from Shakespeare’s quid-essential money-monger?

This is the essence of central banking. It uses debt created money to rob societies, manipulate economies and maintain perpetual indebtedness. Human bondage is permanent under the reign of loan shark banking dynasties. Apply this same standard against the central banks, but instead of settling for a mere pound, set your sights at repossessing the wealth of generations stolen from the labor and ingenuity of freemen by the cabal of iniquity.

Combating this global gulag demands bold and inventive resistance. Break away from all financial instruments. Get out of debt; everyone is already in a virtual bankruptcy. Convert into real assets that have liquidity outside the banking system. Reduce your expenditures, increase your savings and lower your taxable income, while building up bartered reserves. Hard times are here and will get only worse, prepare as time allows.Governments are subservient to money dominance as long as they accept the central banking illusion that money can only be issued under a debt obligation paid to bankers. The remaining few thinking individuals are able to understand this basic principle. Politicians dispel this wisdom, economists apologize for fractional reserve banking and the average taxpayer sinks deeper in debt – personally and as a citizen of their country of residence.

War is the favored tool of the oligopoly financial magicians. They set the wheels in motion to detract from economic collapse when the sheeple have no more wool to shear. They build even higher, the debt corridor under the guise of national survival. How quaint! This formula works well and serves to consolidate the money moguls design on planetary serfdom.

Revolution against the financial banking houses combats the enslavers. The House of Rothschild is more than a symbol; it is a curse on civilization. A revolt against central banking masters is the redress mission that humanity requires to unleash individual dignity and economic freedom.
