Hollywood Unraveling the Fabric of Society
December 12, 2011

Liberal Hollywood is intentionally corrupting children’s morals via the movies and TV programs they produce for public consumption. Dictionary.com defines the word intentional in this way: done with intention or on purpose. In my opinion the harm Hollywood is doing to the minds and hearts of the next generation, which includes people of faith, is on purpose — and it’s criminal. In my last article, Kids are being exposed to shocking levels of sexual content, I alerted parents to one of the plot lines in... Read article
Is Rick Perry on a mission from God?
November 5, 2011

GOP hopeful Rick Perry is an evangelical Christian. Recently his wife stated that before he made his decision to run “He prayed about it, he really prayed about it.” Praying before making important decisions isn’t unusual for most Christians. What’s unusual, and also troubling, is her comment that “He threw that fleece out twice to make sure it came back wet.” Anita Perry was referring to a Bible story about a leader in Israel whose name was Gideon. (Judges 6-7) God spoke to Gideon and told him... Read article
Dominionists Are On The Move…And They Mean Business
October 12, 2011

“Once we have the apostles in place, we will then bring the intercessors and the prophets into the inner circle, and we will end up with the spiritual core we need to move ahead for retaking the dominion that is rightfully ours.” – C. Peter Wagner Until recently not many folks were aware of a man by the name of C. Peter Wagner. But Wagner is quickly becoming a person of interest thanks largely to Christian Right (CR) becoming chummy with him and other high-level charismatic dominionists. In... Read article
Throwaway Human Beings
September 29, 2011

In 2005 a nineteen-year old Canadian woman strangled her newborn baby and threw his tiny body over a fence. Twice a jury found her guilty of second-degree murder. Upon appeal the conviction was overturned and the baby’s killer was given a three-year suspended sentence and will spend no time in jail. She may, however, spend 16 days behind bars for throwing the baby over the fence. Does that not make your blood boil? Evidently the Justice’s blood remained tepid while she went about the business of suspending... Read article
Glenn Beck’s “Pure Personal Truth,” Part 2
September 13, 2011

Glenn Beck is a charming, witty, well-spoken, well-informed, transparent individual who has some unique gifts, one of which is his ability to unite people for a common cause. From my observation Beck believes he has the truth. And, although he claims to be a Christian, he doesn’t base his “pure personal truth” on the Bible. Read The Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life, a book Beck co-authored with Dr. Keith Ablow, and you’ll find that his truth comes from a hodgepodge of Mormon/New Age/New Thought/occult/pagan... Glenn Beck’s “Pure Personal Truth,” Part 1
September 6, 2011

Here Glenn Beck goes again, claiming he’s a Christian, this time at Restoring Courage 2011 – Jerusalem. Glenn gets upset when anyone questions his Christianity. That’s weird because he’s a Mormon who affirms the official teaching of Mormonism aka the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). The LDS outright deny many of the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. Moreover, LDS doctrine contradicts what Scripture teaches. So of course there are Christians who feel Beck’s not a... Christian Leaders: It’s About Time You Test False Teachers
August 28, 2011

I have written several articles voicing concern over the Christian Right (CR) uniting with leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) for the purpose of fighting the culture war. Other Christian bloggers are concerned as well and have been asking valid questions, such as why the CR chooses to involve themselves with these fringe groups. As of this date we’re still in the dark. So I’ll toss out the question again: Why do Christian leaders, pastors, and luminaries choose to unite with what Jesus referred... Read article
My Response to “The Response” Gov. Rick Perry’s Call to Prayer
August 10, 2011

Having previously written a piece on The Response voicing my legitimate concerns over Gov. Rick Perry’s August 6th prayer event that was held at Reliant Stadium, now that all is said and done I’ll respond to what I watched via the live streaming on their website. As the camera panned a sea of people with their arms outstretched to heaven, many of them with tear-stained faces singing praises to God, my eyes well up and I was moved. There is something about that Name… Christians go to big events expecting to... Read article
Texas Governor’s Aug 6th Prayer Event Leadership Team Includes Cult Members
August 2, 2011

The prayer event I’m speaking of is The Response: a call to prayer for a nation in crisis. The cult Gov. Rick Perry has involved himself with is the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). The NAR has dozens of offshoots and an assortment of names such as Dominionists, Latter Rain, Kansas City Prophets, Third Wave, Joel’s Army, Manifest(ed) Sons of God, Five-Fold Ministry, to name a few. Another offshoot, and the one I’ll deal with here, is the International House of Prayer (IHOP), a splinter group of the Kansas... Read article
The Religious Right unites with Religious Renegades, Part 3
July 1, 2011

There’s an old saying, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions,” meaning that people who believe they are doing good often end up doing evil. It’s the law of unintended consequences. Unfortunately this is what has happened to some–not all–religious conservative organizations. I know of altruistic Christian activists, both conservative and liberal, who believe they are doing God’s work, but in their effort to “right wrongs” they have utterly failed to honor God’s command to “earnestly... The Religious Right unites with Religious Renegades, Part 2
June 19, 2011

My purpose for writing this article is not to discredit, scold or embarrass the Christian Right (CR) for their part in helping to advance the bizarre beliefs of a renegade movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). My words are intended to be loving but firm. (Eph 4:15) I believe the CR’s intentions are good and that they are honorable men and women who believe they are faithfully serving our Lord. What they fail to understand is that the NAR is a Christian sect! So with this in mind I am calling... Read article
The Religious Right uniting with Religious Renegades, Part 1
May 21, 2011

Some Religious Right leaders have joined forces with movers and shakers, literally speaking, of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). They have been warned about this “New Breed” of Christian and their global kingdom agenda and have chosen to disregard the warnings. This article will put to rest the notion that the NAR’s esoteric doctrines fall within the pale of orthodox Christianity. The hope of course is that the Religious or Christian Right will wake up and smell the coffee and sever all ties with these... Read article
Rick Warren introduces “The Devil Plan”
January 29, 2011

Pastor Rick Warren continues to work at “fulfilling people’s needs.” His latest endeavor is “The Daniel Plan,” a 52-week health and fitness program. Pastor Rick has decided it’s high time to lose 90 pounds. But there’s more to his health plan than meets the eye. “The church says all of its more than 5,000 small groups will go through “The Daniel Plan,” which is part of Saddleback’s “Decade of Destiny,” a 10-year plan launching this month “to help individuals succeed... America’s Moral Implosion
October 27, 2010

The 60s generation embraced moral relativism—the belief that there is no right and wrong—and it swept across our nation like a firestorm. Five decades later a large number of Americans have completely lost their moral compass. We have become the hook up culture, marked by casual sexual encounters. We are a nation of Girls Gone Wild, where young women expose themselves before cameras. How much deeper into the immoral abyss can we slide? When a nation has no clear understanding of what exactly is moral... Read article
Christians get twisted out of shape when they learn the truth about yoga
October 15, 2010

Believers are called to meditate upon the Word of God — an external Word that comes to us by divine revelation — not to meditate by means of incomprehensible syllables.” – Albert Mohler “All forms of yoga involve occult assumptions, even hatha yoga, which is often presented as a merely physical discipline.” – Douglas Groothuis Albert Mohler, President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, got into deep weeds with devotees of “Christian yoga” over his recent article, The Subtle Body — Should... No ‘coming out party’ for gays in the military
September 30, 2010

The radical Left’s effort to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT), a law that bans homosexuals from serving openly in the military, has failed. On September 21 the Senate Democrats were unable to achieve the 60 vote threshold to get cloture which was needed to advance a Defense Authorization bill. Democrats included the repeal provision in the bill. The bill authorizes $726 billion in military spending for next year and includes $159 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and a pay raise for the ... Read article
