The Revolution Goes Home to America
March 10, 2008

What no one in the conventional media seems to understand about the Ron Paul Campaign is that while Ron is the spokesman, the vessel, according to Danny Romero of Ron Paul Revolution Radio, the action takes place, organized and funded, not through the Official Campaign but through the Revolution. That is why we call it The Revolution. With the Revolution winning is not one campaign but taking back America. With the Revolution the people began taking back their power; that will continue no matter what. On the 6th of March... Read article

March 9, 2008

America, we are told, is Fighting A War Not Only For Our Own National Survival But For The Survival Of Western Civilization Against Radical Islamofascist Terrorist Fundamentalist Extremists Who Hate Us And Our Freedom And Democracy And Who Want To Take Away That Freedom And Democracy And Undermine Our Very Way Of Life And KILL US ALL! Hyper-sexualizing Girls
March 8, 2008

I grew up in an era when girls were not pampered the way they are today. My sister and I helped around the house from the time I can remember. We did everything from vacuuming and ironing, to cleaning up the kitchen after meals. Even my younger brother washed and dried the dishes. Everyone pitched in to help. Mom rarely pampered her girls, except for the occasional bubble bath. We weren’t allowed to wear make-up and nail polish until we hit the teen years — except on Halloween. My sister and I would dress up... Read article
Don’t Tell Me, I Don’t Wanta Know
March 8, 2008

“True wisdom comes from the overcoming of suffering and sin. All true wisdom is therefore touched with sadness”…the wonder of life and the universe has “died out of the modern world and been replaced by man’s monkeylike amazement at the cleverness of his own inventive brain.” Whitaker Chambers It is a terrible book (Witness, 1952, Random House), writes Chambers, terrible because of what it says about men and the world in which they live. Truth is often terrible and because it is terrible it is shunned.... Read article
“Another child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes” And nobody protests this?
March 8, 2008

I was driving along Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley the other day when I spotted a giant billboard that read, “Another child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes.” My jaw just dropped. Further down on Shattuck, I drove past the Marine recruiting center where Code Pink is protesting the war on Iraq. Approximately one million Iraqis as well as almost 5,000 American troops have died in “Bush’s War,” a hecka lot of pointless bloodshed. Oops, my bad. It wasn’t pointless. There was... Read article
South Pasadena vs. freedom of speech
March 7, 2008

This past week, the first week in March, was declared by the City Council of South Pasadena, California, as “Cuss Free Week“. This past week, anyone caught using “offensive” language in South Pasadena wouldn’t likely be thrown in jail just for that. But, according to the Associated Press, “you could be shamed into better behavior by the unsettling glares of residents who take their reputation for civility seriously.” I think this is ridiculous. This is 2008. The American culture... Read article
Bernanke’s Nightmare – Potato-Skin Soup Feast
March 7, 2008

Is a time coming, maybe sooner than later, when Americans will have no choice but to tighten their belts? Is it possible that a loaf of bread may cost too much or grocery shelves will be empty? News – price of wheat going up in addition to the already rising price of corn. But those aren’t the only increases coming our way. The effects are felt all along the chain of production. Along with food products, there’s the price increases of fuels and heating oils. With the price of diesel, truckers are fast losing income,... Read article
Arlo Guthrie – Take Back America
March 7, 2008

To be sung to the American Hymn, “My Country ’tis of thee.” Just Vote Ron Paul My country tis of thee Sweet land of tyranny – Of thee I sing Land where my freedoms died. Land where my friends all hide from threats of genocide – for thee I cry I look out on the land And see Monsanto’s brand Of GMO E-coli in our crops Why can’t the madness stop Don’t eat their poisoned slop You can just say no… I see disease erupt With every big gulp cup Of sugar corn Our nations over weight diabetes is... Your Money or Your Life? Stupid Question, or…?
March 7, 2008

How do you sleep at night knowing that you sell your child’s future for a phantom currency? What if you turned heretic against the religion of Profit, and redirected your business so your children could have hope? There is one graphic in Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth that should stop capitalism dead in its tracks. It shows a large balance with two trays. In one tray hangs planet earth. In the other tray hangs a stack of gold bars. The gold does not represent actual gold, which is only a metal that comes from the... Read article
Why Most Voters Shouldn’t Vote
March 6, 2008

Often the most fanciful ideas become the least questioned assumptions. In this election season a few have made themselves apparent, such as the notion that “change” is good by definition and “experience” is definitely good. Yet an even better example is the oft-repeated platitude that greater voter participation yields a healthier republic. Ah, I’ve transgressed against dogma, but let’s be logical. Most of us agree that having an educated populace is a prerequisite for a sound democratic republic. We also... Read article
Jerks for Jesus
March 5, 2008

I have heard it said that “God wants spiritual fruits and not religious nuts.” I was reminded of this last week when someone e-mailed asking my opinion of Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka. Phelps and his followers are thoroughly sick and hateful people. These people are well-known for showing up at rallies and funerals with banners saying things like “God hates fags”, “AIDS cures fags”, “Thank God for dead soldiers” and for thanking God for the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and the ensuing... U.S. National Vision and Strategic Plan
March 5, 2008

If you drive at night with no lights, you may end up in the middle of nowhere or plastered around a tree! If you build a house with no blueprint, you may find the toilet centered in the dining room. Yuck! If you play a football opponent, you need a game plan. If you cook dinner for 10, you need a menu. If you go on vacation, you need a check-list and plan. Today, the president and leaders in Congress fail to plan for the future of the United States of America. Instead, they govern by helter-skelter responses to every... Read article
The People Are Governing Themselves
March 3, 2008

Most of us think of a people governing themselves as just so much rhetoric. Not true. The last year of the Ron Paul Revolution has proven that using the social networking tools provided by the Internet we can indeed come together to take action that is unprecedented in scope and power. These have been early steps but, in fact, whether or not Ron Paul is inaugurated as President next January, a mass movement of people have created the tools that provide the means to displace the present morass of government. We will change... Read article

Nineteen Eighty-Four (also titled 1984), by George Orwell (the pen name of Eric Arthur Blair), is an English dystopian novel about life in a dictatorship as lived by Winston Smith, an intellectual worker at the Ministry of Truth, and his degradation when he runs afoul of the totalitarian government of Oceania, the state in which he lives in the year 1984. A Culture of Death and Destruction
March 1, 2008

Some people have likened the Earth to a relatively small lifeboat wheeling in an incredibly vast sea of outer space. If they also think that the sinking of the Titanic was a sad disaster, they will be heartbroken over the tragic devastation when this sort of occurrence happens on a planetary scale… Recently, I read an article about the death of birds, bats, bees and butterflies across the world [1]. It didn’t surprise me. Indeed, we can add to the list ever so many other species, also, heading towards extinction,... Read article
