Barack Obama and the “End” of Racism
February 11, 2008

By Juan Santos “What life has taught me I would like to share with Those who want to learn… Until the philosophy which hold one race Superior and another inferior Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned Everywhere is war, me say war That until there are no longer first class And second class citizens of any nation Until the colour of a man’s skin Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes Me say war That until the basic human rights are equally Guaranteed to all, without regard to race Dis... The Honesty Bond Rules
February 10, 2008

Bond all politicians for honesty and performance now Every time you hire a professional that individual is bonded. That bond is put up by the professional to ensure their honesty and that they will serve your interests. It is a kind of insurance of good faith. The Honesty Bond allows Americans control and oversight over the elected officials in which the so much trust is necessarily invested. This is another kind of insurance. Your Congressman or President can, obviously, wreak havoc unimagined by your housecleaner or accountant. You... Read article
Wolfowitz the Undead
February 9, 2008

Former World Bank chief Paul Wolfowitz will head a high-level advisory panel on arms control and disarmament, the State Department announced on January 24. He is returning to government as chairman of the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB). This is appalling news. It is deplorable that this devious and tainted man, who has been wrong—spectacularly, damagingly and provenly wrong—on every issue of substance in the post-Cold War era, is to get any government post ever again. It defies belief that he is getting... Read article
Living on the government teat in Iraq
February 9, 2008

“Mom likes you better!” When I was embedded in Iraq last year, one reporter pulled me aside and carefully spelled out the U.S. military’s “Rules of Embedment” for me. “Don’t say anything negative or they will withhold your access to news or even send you back home.” Oh, okay. Nothing negative. Check. And so I praised our brave troops to the heavens — and that was really easy to do. Those guys are doing a great job! But it still didn’t do me any good.... Read article
Senator John McCain and Brain Dead American Voters
February 8, 2008

How’s immigration working out for you fellow Americans? Got a goober in your back pocket? Like what you see in Mexi-fornia? How about Mexi-zona? What can you say about Mexi-Texas? How about that 1965 Immigration Reform Act that added 100 million people in four decades? How about the next 100 million immigrants added by 2040? Ya’ just gotta’ love the results don’t ya’? What would Andy of Mayberry say? “Hey, Andy,” Goober said, while twirling his hat. “Ya’ Goob,” Andy Taylor muttered. “What do you git... Read article
The Wrath of John
February 7, 2008

Writing in the New York Post, columnist John Hurt warns of the obvious. John McCain may be campaigning as a conservative, says he, but once in office the senator will show his true colors and take a sharp left turn. Hurt opines: He [McCain] claims the mantle of Ronald Reagan. He even claims the mantle of Barry Goldwater, conservatism’s crack version of Reagan. But as McCain clinches the GOP nomination, he will begin his usual leftward lurch. He will return to his lifelong positions as soft on illegal immigration,... Read article

February 7, 2008

After the Super Tuesday Tornadoes: “All the clues were there. It was just unfortunate that it came out the way it did.” -Joseph Schaefer, Storm Prediction Center, Norman, Oklahoma The clues to the State of the Union are in front of us, a storm of tornadoes are fast approaching. Are we taking any preventive action to correct, escape, avoid the consequences? This week Pres. Bush announced his 2009 $3.1 trillion budget. Congressional Dems have already declared they will most likely ignore Bush’s proposed budget and develop... Read article
Lessons on the Road to Liberty
February 7, 2008

The examples of how they steal elections are now thick upon the ground. Now, the most credulous and trusting have to see that elections are easily fixed. Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and now the swath of states that comprise Super Tuesday, the number of elections stolen is mind boggling. We can still elect Ron president but elections are a problem we need to solve. That is one issue. More follow. Today, February 6th, is the first day of the real Revolution, the final phase of the First American Revolution of 1776.... Read article
The Year of Living Dangerously: Part Two
February 6, 2008

An Absence of Will Under constant manipulations, lies and propaganda, a nation of courage has become a nation of cowards. A nation that once questioned its leaders now falls lockstep behind them, blindly following criminality and corruption. A nation that once stood for protests, strikes, marches, sit-ins, challenging the government and seeking accountability now prefers sitting comfortably on couches or chairs, watching the world pass by through television sets or laptops, some becoming arm-chair activists, most simply... A Glimmer of Hope for Europe
February 6, 2008

In spite of some decades of relentless multiculturalist indoctrination and “Religion of Peace” propaganda, an “overwhelming majority” of Europeans believe immigration from Islamic countries is a threat to their traditional way of life, a major new survey revealed on January 23. Prepared for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in collaboration with Georgetown University, “Islam and the West: Annual Report on the State of Dialogue” was—according to the official press release—a pioneering attempt... Overseas outsourcing: You get what you pay for
February 5, 2008

A recent report from the Labor Department indicated that U.S. employers cut 17,000 jobs in January of this year. According to the Associated Press, this was “the first such reduction in more than four years.” Many of the job cuts were in manufacturing and “a variety of professional and business services.” I think it is no coincidence that these areas have seen a lot of U.S. jobs transferred to India, China, and other countries where the labor is much, much cheaper. Apparently, U.S. corporations... Read article
State of the Union: The Bush Treason
February 5, 2008

Last week, President Bush gave Congress his last State of the Union speech. Proving that the presidency erodes a man–he looked worn, haggard, colorless and beaten. His words rang vacant, hollow and scratched like fingernails across the chalkboard of Americans’ sense of honesty. In truth, he looked every bit the part of a new book: “The Bush Tragedy” by Jacob Weisberg. Newsweek reported, “As Bush’s presidency nears its end, prospects for the Republicans look bleak…GOP candidates running... Read article
The Year of Living Dangerously: Part One
February 4, 2008

Manifestations of Intent Can you smell the smoked fumes of a discombobulated economic engine that has ceased to function, its synergy spitting and sputtering, its many parts thrashed by the claws, and vices, of neoliberal capitalism? Can you feel the dismantling of the economic spark plug, the American consumer, as our livelihoods are sacrificed to the greed, and incompetence, of the establishment and as the value of our lives is further enslaved to the Almighty Dollar and its puppet masters? Can you hear the roar of authoritarian... Read article
Debunking The Health Care Bugaboo
February 4, 2008

Right up there with the economy as an issue for the election is the the problem of health care for Americans. We know that some forty million Americans have no health insurance and those who do are faced with ever-rising deductibles, co-payments, and premium increases. The Presidential candidates all believe they have the answers that the voters will approve but most really are aware that their proposals simply will not work. In the meantime, people are dying from neglect. The President says that everyone has health care... Read article
What Happened to Freedom? A Story You Need to Hear
February 4, 2008

It was an electric experience, heady, powerful, filled with joy and individual empowerment. People from all parts of society came together to work on the election. They made signs and waved them over freeway bridges; they printed their own literature because they could not get it fast enough. They wrote what was needed, did the graphics, printed it. They used their own money to get the job done. Every dollar they spent they saw as moving them closer to the shining vision on which America was founded. There was friendship,... Read article
